I like her passion for Nigeria. Her grand father not even her dad was born in Nigeria. Some of us that were born in Nigeria don't even want to represent Nigeria.
She wasn't born or raised here. For her, it's an adventure. If things go wrong, she can always return to England. For us who were raised here, we'd rather escape the hell we have lived through.
Do Nigeria's leaders truly "represent" you?.. 🤔 I think not. We "represent" ourselves and make the best out of all the crap we live through in Nigeria.
Welcome to Nigeria, glad to see mixed raced children of Nigeria representing Nigeria again. I wish her success with the super falcons and when she retires she would have medals 🥇 to show for her hard work hopefully.
@Relaty Vibe 1:08 Her Dad is a likely half Naija and her Gran Father full Nigerian, she is likely a quarter Nigerian as both men partnered with Caucasian women, she is probably at least 75% Caucasian, 1:20 her little sister looks more mixed than her, she would pass for 100% Caucasian.
Clearly a proud moment for us all. She is bold and beautiful. We appreciate you even though sometimes we don't appreciate our heritage and it takes people like you sometimes to remind us how great we are. I pray for beautiful memories for you in super falcons. All the best and love from Nigeria. Proud of you!
75% british, 25% nigerian...didn't spend a second in nigeria growing up...she's less african than the typical english bloke who goes on stag party rampages in africa, banging tons of third world women
Lots of Nigerians at Leicester. Shes well spoken and will be a good representative. Shes a future captain and maybe future manager. She shows great maturity already. Yeah sure there will be critics but growing up in Lagos never cared about skin colour. Lagos was international anyway.
I'm really glad to know that Ashleigh is getting by against the odds. There should be no room for undue distractions. I wish her nothing but the very best in her professional career and in all ramifications of life.
For the super falcons to make a solid mark on the global stage I feel we need to have a mix of the home based and these diaspora Nigerians..what we lack is technique and perhaps organisation which these ladies who have already gained exposure can bring.
Fantastic interview, welcome home Ashleigh Plumptre , so happy you decided to play for the Super Falcons, it's glaring you absolutely want to make Nigeria proud. Wishing you many golden trophies with the Team.
She's Nigerian and so the intelligence surely speaks. But nobody asked her questions about Nigerian music. 🤪 O well, she's cute anyway, wish her a lot of hard work and success ahead 🇳🇬😍

We won't win the World Cup in 2023, but we can make a brilliant impact and then hopefully win the 2027 tournament. There are so many good teams in the world today, like the US, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, England, the Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, to mention some names. I remember back in 2004 when we beat England 3-0 in a friendly before the 2004 Olympics (Perpetua Nkwocha got 2 goals and Stella Mbachu got the third goal). But the current England women's team is so scary! They beat Latvia 20-0 just 2 days ago in a World Cup qualifier, and I shudder to think what would happen if they faced the current Super Falcons now. But if we continue these training camps which will help improve the team's play, then one day we may be able to stand up to England, but now is not the time to face them. But one day, we definitely will, and hopefully when that day comes, the team will be ready.

The only explanation I have for this girl's connection to Nigeria is that her father is biracial, her grandfather a black Nigerian, like Ross Barkley. Because there I see a girl of white and English appearance, a bit like Kirian Trippier who probably has a black Caribbean grandfather, the same for Ryan Giggs... I think that with France, England has one of the biggest biracial or mixed populations of Europe. I have the impression that mixed unions are an older phenomenon in England.
