What’s really messed up is not only did De La Cruz poison Hector but he used his death as inspiration for a scene for one of his movies later and even used the villain of that movie use the same, “Move to heaven and Earth,” line. Just imagine having that kind of audacity!
@@gremmythoumeaux2393 Yeah that part was messed up what Ernesto did to Hector by poisoning the drink and Miguel somehow was able to connect the dots when Hector brought up about how Ernesto would "Move Heaven and Earth" and Miguel realize that this was the same quote Don Hidalgo said in "El Camino A Casa" when he poisoned the drink.

The Mexican cultural representation is great, De La Cruz is a fantastic twist villain, and the movie is such an emotional powerhouse. It's impossible not to cry at that final scene.

Danté’s breed was known for guiding people in Mexican folklore like Frida Kahlo said lol. He guided Miguel to his family and to Hector who he didn’t even see before
fun fact: if you rewatch the movie knowing the fact that Dante is a spirit guide its almost comical how many times he's the reason the story progresses. And most of the scenes it seems like he's just being silly and dumb for comedy. the fact that you remember a famous painter, Frida Kahlo, for "that one painting of her" when she made dozens if not hundreds of paintings of herself. Jason almost said it but Hector still LEFT the family. In the end, he regretted it and wanted to go home, but that's still several months to several years of having to be a single mother to a toddler. She is ok to be angry with him for leaving her to chase his dream while she stays home raising their daughter and giving up on her own dreams. Hector explained it during the first final death but you have to have known them while they were alive, and sharing stories of them while they were alive keeps those memories alive. If Miguel went back but didn't remind Coco it wouldn't work since he has no memories of living Hector. Coco and her family passing down the stories of Hector playing the guitar for her and her mother will keep him alive until eventually the family tree is too long for his generation or the bloodline dies out entirely. The photo wouldn't keep Hector alive, but he also wanted to cross over the bridge to see his daughter and the rest of his family. Without Hector's photo he would still be completely excluded from crossing the bridge, even if he's remembered and his wife forgives him. If it wasn't obvious Coco was suffering from dementia (or something similar), and the memory of her father was the last thing she was holding onto. After hearing the song more of her memories returned, including the identity of her daughter.
As a Latino/Hispanic male specifically of Dominican descent Coco is a movie that connected to me. Coco is a really emotional movie especially as Miguel is trying to follow after his grandfather legacy.
Coco is without a doubt one of my Top five favorite Pixar films and as both my family and myself are of Mexican descent, the film really connected with me as we learned about the importance of "La Familia", Día de Los Muertos and the Ofrendas (which my family and I did set up one on Día de Los Muertos 2-3 years after this film). I also got emotional and cried when I listen to Miguel and Héctor's version of "Remember Me" especially the former when he sang It to Mamá Coco, because my Grandmother, my Great Aunt and my Grandfather passed away and I greatly miss them very much, deep down they aren't forgotten as I still remember them, even their passing brought in a whole new level when I listen to "Remember Me". 🇲🇽🇲🇽 Lastly, I happen to enjoy the Latin Spanish dub of the film and I say it's equally as good if not better than the original English version.💀💀🌼🏵🪅 Not to mention _Coco_ now stands as the Highest Grossing US film In Mexico surpassing the Avengers.
Coco really makes me cry. I wish I could see my family members from the dead. Remember Me is my favorite song. RIP Ana Ofelia Murguía, the voice of Mama Coco 🎵🎵🎵💖💖💖😭😭😭

Gael Garcia Bernal who voiced Héctor Rivera also provides the Spanish speaking voice for him in the Latin American Dub of _Coco._ Even the voice actors for Tio Beto, Papa Julio, Miguel’s Mother, the Depature Agent and Ernesto De La Cruz’s Bouncer also reprised their roles in the Latin American Spanish dub of the film and surprisingly enough the latter two voice actors (Carla Medina and Salvador Reyes) who did the voices of Depature Agent and Ernesto De La Cruz’s Bouncer respectively are also actual Mexican voice actors who appear in several series, animated series, movies and animated movies dubbed in Mexico.🇲🇽
I love the fact that in English the voice of Miguel's father is Jaime Camil, one of the most recognized actors of telenovelas in Mexico, and the fact that the voice in Latin Spanish of Ernesto de la Cruz is Marco Antonio Solis "El Buki" one of the BEST SINGERS that Mexico has ♡
Coco already made me cry before but now after I lost my grandpa it hits me even harder than before especially hearing Miguel sing remember me to mama coco

Miguel already had the song memorzied. Everyone knew the song remember me from De Le Cruz, and could have sang it in front of Coco and she probably heard it before loads of times. it wouldn't have done anything for her memory because it wasn't the song itself, it was the way the song was sung that did it. Miguel had to sing it in the same way Hector sang it to her for it to trigger anything.

1:02:35 I think this ending is simultaneously beautiful, and disturbingly heartbreaking for another reason. It warms my heart to see this family of 3 reunited, but it f’d with my heart to see them like this, because they all died at different ages. Shot in the dark, but Imelda looks like she passed in her mid/late 60s, while Hector died as a young parent in his early/mid 30s, and then Coco seemed to have lived for nearly a century. Of course they share their old dynamic, but it’s so sad to look at them now and think of all the blossoming moments of fatherhood with Coco that Hector was robbed of by Ernesto. Imelda likely died a bitter woman, and she spent several decades raising Coco as a single mother, through the 1930s~60s. Coco outlived her parents by so much, and with her white hair she could pass for THEIR mother by now 🥺😭. Fuck Ernesto
I remember watching this movie in theaters when my mom was alive with me and it warmed my heart so much, especially the last song "Remember Me" which was sung to Coco... it broke my heart... I am happy Hector was forgiven and everyone bonded as a family again it was just a perfect movie 10/10! and wouldn't mind going to theaters and seeing it again
As a person who’s Mexican who lives in the U.S, this film really makes me miss my family in Mexico. Im the US it’s just me and my mom and brother but as the movie portrays usually we have a big family that all live in one property. I miss having that big family feeling and having my grandmas cooking and since our family is from Mexico City I miss that sort of like lights everywhere and beautiful colors and all the food It definitely makes me cry from nostalgia lol it’s a beautiful representation of Mexican culture Also note: you gotta understand where mama Imelda was coming from. It is a little bit Hectors fault. Yes Ernesto murdered him when he was about to come back home but remember. He made the decision to leave in the first place. Imelda said she wanted to settle down and take care of her family but hector wanted to tour the world. Which is fine but he made the decision to leave his family in the first place. He even said that it had been months before he started to feel homesick and made the decision to come back home.
Coco is arguably my favorite Pixar film! What’s interesting about it is that it leans more into musical aspect than the other Pixar titles and I like that. What I also like is that it’s the one film from Pixar that hits me in the feels the most, more so that Inside Out, and that says a lot.
As person with Mexican roots, It’s really cool to have a movie around Mexico and the ‘día de los muertos’. The movie is a love letter of Mexico’s deep rich culture. I love this movie so much. Very emotional. I heard this film is the highest grossing foreign made movie in Mexican theaters. I been to Mexico and passed through many small towns in multiple states such as Michoacán, one of the states that inspired of the movie’s town setting.

I also love how they play so much this pumped up version of Remember me to then show the original wich i think makes more sense. I really loved how yall didnt see the twist coming it really made it just nicer lol. And lastly one little thing to clarify for yall, they said they survived by being remembered from real life, or from these people than passing on stories about them to the next generation 😉 great video as always guys
the part that hit me with this movie the most was Coco in almost every detail of her face, looked just like my great grandmother did, in her late years, I always wish I could have ask her more questions and learned more of her past. She lived to 103 and and had her own cookie recipe that she held on to in memory that so far we can only imitate a close resemblance of.
The whole film is set ion edemuertos, an entirely holiday dedicated to paying tribute to and remembering those who we lost. However "Coco" acknowledged that It's an unavoidable reality that all ages can learn about, in facts understanding the concepts may just help they accept when it eventually come and not only that, the flim makes it clear that while death is difficult, our memories of the deceased matter are a great deal and we should hold on to them.
I remember watching this movie in theaters twice in Mexico and the U.S., in Mexico it came out right before the Day of the Dead and in the U.S. it came out during Thanksgiving week 😂

Also, the customs agent in The Land Of The Dead was portrayed by funnyman Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias.

This was a very nice family movie, I like how Miguel brought the family closer together with music and I love his relationship with Héctor 💛🇲🇽 also, my favorite song is Un Poco Loco
I think what's really messed up from Disney during this time was they really put a Frozen short before this movie. They had so little faith in it, when everyone was talking about it, and the funniest thing is parents thought they entered the wrong movie. Disney should just leave things in the creator's hands... and stop having them bomb.
I as well didn't have the highest expectations beforehand and I literally ended up crying a solid 3 hours after watching this movie😂 also love how the moral of the story is not that the most important thing is to do anything to follow your dreams/ to do anything to make your dreams a reality but instead that the most important thing is and should be your family❤️
With Mexican families that live in a communal home, it's common for there to be a matriarch that they follow closely. This role usually goes to the eldest, healthiest property owner, which is typically a grandmother as they would have been living on this property for generations. It can be extremely divisive to go against what the matriarch wants and can lead to rifts in families. This is a family trait sometimes still observed today but is starting to disappear as people immigrate to the U.S. and newer generations adopt U.S. family standards and in Mexico, and I'm sure other Latin countries, as newer generations start to break cycles of generational trauma.
Tbh tho living in the US sometimes I *am* jealous of how close Mexican families are, like in the US if there's some performance from a child your immediate family will go (mom, dad, siblings) and *maybe* some aunts and uncles if you happen to be close or grandparent if they live close or are visiting.. but Mexican families will have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles all show up and support the kid like they were all the parent
@@BaconNuke and then they will force that child to perform at any given moment on demand because "it's for the family". I'm not saying having a large involved family isn't nice, but it's quid-pro-quo.
There's actually a huge clue to what the twist is. If you look closely at the white guitar which features prominently and early, there's a fake gold tooth design. It's a huge hint that the guitar wasn't Ernesto's but was originally Hector's!
Plus, I heard that they were also making a cocoa too, but we haven’t even seen a teaser trailer. It was supposed to come out like after. Three years ago, but now it’s like 2024 and it should come out hopefully I’m still hopefully Waiting for the next one and I’m hoping the next one is way better than this one and also, I haven’t cut up on a lot of the videos, but I am pretty much caught up after like one more video and also, you should think about taking some of my other suggestions to like Winney the Pooh and tigger tooo and also like other ones I’ve mentioned like including Ozzie, Oogie, love, and the big balloon adventure, and The book of Pooh Stories from the heart is another good one too and even some of the other ones that I probably forgot about and I definitely remember them making the Shira and the video DD doodle works I think that’s what it was called but anyway that’s like beyond the point too
PS I still just like help come up with other cool movies that you should watch next plus also I came up with another one that you should definitely also watch the live action Christopher Robin movie
Mama Imelda was still angry with Hector even after finding out that he had been murdered and said what she said because he chose to leave to begin with. The murder didn't have anything to do with it. She wanted to settle down and raise coco but he didn't want to settle down even though he had a daughter and a wife he wanted to travel the world and only play music. It wasn't until he got homesick that he realized what he was leaving behind. That is why she is still angry.
Thank you because not a lot of people seem to remember that he left on his own at first so she had every right to be mad and she even said Mama Imelda gets a lot of hate for that scene
That´s the real meaning of the day of the death in our mexican culture, the cempasuchil leaves are used to create a path for them to visit us on Nov. 1st and Nov, 2nd and the most important: the photos of our love ones in the altar
I didn't notice until after several watching but for most of the movie, Hector is barefoot, but after he reconciles with his family at the end of the movie, he has shoes. Symbolic of being part of the family again.
Another day of the dead movie you guys gotta watch is 2014’s The Book Of Life! It may not be so popular as Coco but it’s still such a good movie! And fun fact! The creator of The Book Of Life also created a Nickelodeon show back in 2007 called El Tigre The Adventures Of Manny Rivera, which is a superhero comedy show. Give that show a watch too cuz it’s so funny yet filled with some pretty good action fighting scenes. Sadly it only got one season, but still! Please give The Book Of Life and El Tigre a watch! 😄

47:42 It was supposed to be secret, but Ernesto made it famous and built his fame off it
Remember me never makes me fail to bawl my eyes out.
Me too dude because I miss my grandma and grandpa they dies at covid-19 in Mexico and my pet dog mambo too I'll will pray for my family to live forever and ever again 😢 😔 💔 😞 😪 😕 💝🌹💖🌻🙏💓💕🌙🇱🇷✨️🇲🇽⭐️😊
@@aldemarquez6828 wow, sorry for your loss dude, may both your grandpa, grandma, & dog fly high in heaven.
I cry every time I see this movie or watch a reaction to it. Amazing movie. Pixar hit it out of the park
I have to say Coco was one of the best movies we got from Disney.
The skull on Ernesto’s guitar at the church and in the photo has a gold tooth, similar to Hector. Foreshadowing who his real grandfather is.
This was a very nice family movie, I like how Miguel brought the family closer together with music and I love his relationship with Héctor 💛🇲🇽 also, my favorite song is Un Poco Loco
Loved y’all’s reactions to the twists !! ❤❤ haha
As a Hispanic, this movie would be 100% accurate if they included DBZ, literally all they're missing is Taqueria Goku or something
I love coco
Great reaction!
I actually went to mexico during Dia de los Muertos
This movie had me more emotional than up
YESSSSS love this movieeeeee
I think what's really messed up from Disney during this time was they really put a Frozen short before this movie. They had so little faith in it, when everyone was talking about it, and the funniest thing is parents thought they entered the wrong movie.
Disney should just leave things in the creator's hands... and stop having them bomb.
I as well didn't have the highest expectations beforehand and I literally ended up crying a solid 3 hours after watching this movie😂
also love how the moral of the story is not that the most important thing is to do anything to follow your dreams/ to do anything to make your dreams a reality but instead that the most important thing is and should be your family❤️
One of the best pixar/disney movies all time.
One of Pixar’s best in my opinion
Can't wait 'till they get to Pixar's Soul
This movie got me to cry, after all this time I've avoided it... After 30 days since my mom died.... After since both my parents died....
I've already seen this movie more than 50 times, when it came out I played the movie 2 or 3 a day,
Hey quirky quota I want you guys to watch Disney Pixar Luca for the first time. 💖💝😍
Does crying at scenes like Miguel and Cocoa singing together make me weak? 😢
No, it makes you human with a soul
1:10 😂👏🏻🤣💀 SHHHH!
We don’t talk about Bruno
Mama Imelda was still angry with Hector even after finding out that he had been murdered and said what she said because he chose to leave to begin with. The murder didn't have anything to do with it. She wanted to settle down and raise coco but he didn't want to settle down even though he had a daughter and a wife he wanted to travel the world and only play music. It wasn't until he got homesick that he realized what he was leaving behind. That is why she is still angry.
Thank you because not a lot of people seem to remember that he left on his own at first so she had every right to be mad and she even said
Mama Imelda gets a lot of hate for that scene
Disney should have made a movie theater for people to watch Disney Movies in but very happy that Disney got the characters of Coco to the park
Me and my sister saw this movie in theaters back in 2017 and it was so sad
That´s the real meaning of the day of the death in our mexican culture, the cempasuchil leaves are used to create a path for them to visit us on Nov. 1st and Nov, 2nd and the most important: the photos of our love ones in the altar
I didn't notice until after several watching but for most of the movie, Hector is barefoot, but after he reconciles with his family at the end of the movie, he has shoes. Symbolic of being part of the family again.
In your next reaction of family Guy do Brian gets beats up by Stewie Griffin saying where's my money
Would y'all react to breaking bad next cause it's connected to the walking
Imagine if the afterlife was like this.
I don’t trust anyone that doesn’t shed at least one tear to this film.
A true jewel this movie is
Excelent reaction
I love this movie
As a hispanic/Latino and a family Dia de los Muertos is a very serious holiday
Yo please do book of life next please 🙏🏼🔥💯
w comment 💯
Watch it in spanish its much more beautiful
I was 1,000th like! XD 💜
18:06 This is the first time I questioned how Miguel can walk across the bridge
He’s cursed because he tried to take the guitar
@@shaynanichelle8621 Yeah, but his picture isn't on the ofrenda
@@emilyschomer6715That has nothing to do with it, he became cursed which started to turn him dead that’s why he was able to walk across the bridge
That’s why they had to get him home before sunrise, Dia de los Muertos would’ve ended, he’d have been dead and stuck there forever
Unless you mean Hector?
@@emilyschomer6715His picture not being up there has nothing to do with it.
When he tried to take the guitar he became cursed because he stole from the dead as the clerk said
He was turning into a skeleton as the movie went on.
The curse was turning him dead which allowed him to cross the bridge.
Dante was a sprit guide so that’s why he was able to cross.
@@shaynanichelle8621 You need a picture to physically be able to cross the bridge, being dead isn't enough. We see this with Hector. How did Miguel cross without a picture?
I had a friend who really love this movie so much not gonna lie
Hi :) I was wondering if you guys could react to the 1994 Live Action remake of The Jungle Book?
56:02 well the final death they described earlier could be that.
Good movie
I wanna see u guys watch the pirates of the Caribbean movies if u guys haven’t already
Oh I’m definitely a girl that watches your channel 😂🙏
If you guys liked this movie you two should watch the book of like it’s basically like coco but different
Coco
Dante is dog name
yall should check out The Book of Life if y’all havent already yettttt!! tooooo good. they did us hispanics so good w those 2 cartoons, both beautiful stories 🤞🤞
Miguel remembering Hector wouldn't work. Hector even says it in the one scene. They have to be remembered play someone who knew them in life and their stories have to be passed down. Miguel knew him in death he never met him in life. That's why he had to get Coco to remember and pass down her father's story to the rest of the family. That's the only way it would work
💜💜💜
son el primer canal de habla inglesa que realmente se ve completa su reaccion xd
57:36 I don’t think so but I do know that his after life is gonna be very different now.
Okay so here's my 4 suggestions for you guys
1 tmnt 2012
2 Jurassic world camp Cretaceous
3 dinosaur king
4 Batman the animated series.
1:06 My dumbass thought they were talking about Brüno from the Sacha Baron Cohen movie. I was like WTF?💀😂
Have you noticed how hector has shoes at the end
