How is this printer holding up? Found him for $323 now on a black Friday discount, thinking about it for my first resin printer I do own multiple fdm printers
Since I use my printers mainly for functional prototypes, I was more interested in plate size over resolution. After looking into a number of options, I chose the Mono X 6Ks since it provides a nice plate size and a reasonable 6K-ish resolution of 34 microns and it's been a real workhorse. With it nearing EOL on the LCD panel, I'm looking at options for budgeting and this may be my next choice.
Yes, I would recommend this one for sure, unless you can afford the price tag on the M3 Max with it's HUGE build plate and Resin Vat feed straight from the bottle!
@@upskillinglife I am new to 3D printing, just getting into it for printing Warhammer mini's and armies. I dont have a budget, would you say the M3 MAX is better all around than this one here?
@@LeftHandEats No. The Max has a lower XY resolution which means less detail. The M3 Max has a larger build plate which means you can print more/bigger on one plate but it'll be less detailed.
This was very helpful to me as this was the exact situation ive found myself in. Thatnk you very much!
Thank you for taking the time to review this. Im new to the hobby and it refreshing to hear the side of someone whose not sponsored.
thanks for review. do you mind to share some resin settings for any resin you like ?
If the layers are the same size, how can the resolution supposedly be 3 1/2 times higher? The 4-14 comparison looked identical
