    Idea for the wood mounted stamp that stamp a mark around the image. Trim the excess rubber with your craft knife down to the wood. I had saved many stamps that way. You can trim polymer stamps with scissors to prevent the same issue with them. I have been stamping for thirty one years. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

    What a great idea, don't know if anybody has told you but you can actually take them off that block and use them on a clear block .💕💕💕💯💯💯 Thank you! 🌟🌟

    Wow Margreth these are great! I finally got to craft along with you. I will send you some pictures in your email. I bought the Tim Holtz Tiny Mushroom stamps to get the splatter stamp you use all the time. So I used the mushroom stamps to make these. I had so much fun!And got to use the splatter stamp for the first time!!!

    This demo was so far probably my favourite. Anyone can knock these up as you used very basic stash which I am sure almost everyone has on abundance. They would be perfect for hiding little ink smears that accidentally got on a page in the wrong place. Thank you Margreth for inspiring me to use what I have- BUT I just may need to acquire some more oxide colours. 😂

    These are wonderful Margreth! Believe it or not, just today I had the idea to utilize the edges of my vintage books in the same way. I thought I would tear the edges or use my deckle edge cutter, but I love your idea of using washi tape for a lovely finished edge. I am really enjoying the 100 days series . I hope we will get to see how you will use what you have made.

    These are great. If you needed something to fill a space that would match what you are making, takes five minutes to make a few. Thanks for these. Love 'em.

    Another amazing video to use up less loved items!!! 👏👏
    PS: The bird stamp ‘looks like’ a budgerigar (a small parrot native to Australia I think) or as we call it a ‘budgie’. Keep up the wonderful videos Margreth - love them all. Hugs….Julie 🤗🇦🇺❤️

    The ones with those "naughty" corners can be trimmed! Put in microwave for about 3 seconds. Pull the rubber off. Trim nice and close. Glue back on, or put it on clear block later to use. Hugs! Peggy!
    (I have hundreds of stamps on wooden blocks!)

    That was great fun lovey! Thankyou! PS that first bird was a budgerigar which are native to Australia. They’re also known as parakeets so you were right lovey! 😊❤️🇦🇺xxx

    You can turn all your wooden based rubber stamps into cling stamps... just by removing the wooden blocks... Ive done it to a couple of mine... my script stamp... so I could get erratic edges... not harsh lines... but its easy, just be gently, pry them off, clean the goup off... and they use double face tape, and voila... cling stamps. Oh Yes, and washi, goes dry, over time. I keep mine in sealed jars... old candle containers... they dry out, have no sticky, and eventually wont even come off the roll... so hoarding washiis is completely redundant... LOL.

  • @saramckenna3558
    @saramckenna3558 Рік тому

    You can convert wooden block stamps to ‘standard’ red rubber stamps. A few seconds in the microwave and carefully peel them off the block. You can buy the adhesive to add to the back too. I know Stampin Up do the adhesive, and I’m sure other makers must.

    I didn't read all the comments before commenting. I used to have the same problem with that type of trimmer messing up the ends. I finally figured out that if I started cutting maybe an inch or so into the paper, then cut to the top and back down to the bottom, it didn't do that. Maymay from Maymay Made It calls it "sinking the blade". She shows it in her UA-cam videos better than I explain it.

      @@SevenplazaCreative You have to wonder ... when they first created words for objects, how they came to that particular word for that obect? Do you suppose that when they saw a squirrel with an acorn running, was it the acorn or the squirrel they were naming? LOL ... kinda like the chicken before the egg puzzle.
