Hua Chenyu, also known as Hua Hua is a Chinese singer and songwriter who known for his powerful vocals, wide vocal range, dramatic stage performances and skill in composing. He is one of the most influential singer-songwriters in China. He has gained widespread recognition for his ability to adapt and rearrange songs after participating in Singer 2018.
FUN FACTS about band:
He learned to play the flute and the piano, and at the age of 12
He released his most recent album, ‘H’, on March 17, 2017. During the making of this album, he was studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Hua previously dated the keyboardist of his school band and has stated that they acted like an old married couple rather than two teenagers in love when they were together

Saw him in concert 2019 in China. I'm a different person after that experience. 7 personalities live was INSANE!! Everything you said here is completely accurate. He is, at least to me, the greatest rock vocalist, currently. Hoping we can coax him out of China to tour in the west! The world needs to hear this man sing.

Yes! Hua Chenyu is on the opposite side of the same coin as Dimash. Both are very talented but in very different areas. I find it interesting how their upbringing was the total opposite, with similarities.
-Dimash grew up with a big family surrounded by love.
-HuaHua grew up alone and isolated.
-Dimash knew he loved music and wanted to be famous.
-HuaHua only learned how amazing music was once he realized he could express emotions with it.
The reason HuaHua got the chance to be famous today is because a show bribed him with food, and spent time convincing him not to leave. He needed time to accept fame and everything that comes with it, good and bad.
-Just as Dimash was raised to always be grateful for what he has, no matter what fame brought him.
They both exceed with their music.
-Dimash has perfected his voice, still is perfecting it to be able to touch notes few can even dream of doing.
-HuaHua has perfected the art of performing. His creativity is something few of us can even dream of having.
They both like to try different things, and neither can be put in a box.
I find it so sad that Hua Cheyu is so little known outside of Asia, specifically China.
Although he is the most popular artist in China. But unlike Dimash who is more known around the world, HuaHua never seeks to promote himself (I do not see this as good or bad, just an observation)
Although HuaHua goes on Chinese shows, it has been said it is to earn enough to keep his concerts the same without having to up the price.
HuaHua has said many times that if the people are no longer interested in his sounds, he will leave the public image no problem. Just as if his voice or ears fail him, he will go home and enjoy his own life just fine.
He does not seek fame, only to express. And express can he do just fine on his own, just like he spent years creating music by himself with no audience.
I hope you will upload more Hua Chenyu reactions, you guys add a lot. And I really enjoyed the few videos with HuaHua you have uploaded :)

Very interesting observation and resume. I love both artists, but Hua Hua captures me more emotionaly. Even I don't understand a word of his songs, I am totaly immersed in his art of singing and performing. I wish I could tell him how much I love him and his music.

He’s very versatile and can sing basically any style BUT I am a rock fan at heart and so my favorite songs of his are definitely his rock songs, he’s also a rocker but he doesn’t seem like it because people usually see him as an idol so they don’t know he actually sings rock. I just love how he singers man different genres, just the perfect artist for me. Hope you guys continue ❤️

Much love bros. The fact that HuaHua sings about real life struggles etc is what got me hooked on him. He seldom sings about love but he did a cover of a song called "Us" on Singer 2020 and it blew my mind. Multi-faceted talent is he.

If you really want to cry with Hua Chenyu, check out 'Dad, I'm home' (with the subtitles on!!!). Prepeare some tissues first. And be careful, as this song gets blocked a lot - you have to find a way to put it on yt. Maybe dim the screen or something... And remember, it's not his story, it's his acting skills that make people cry!

And he has a very special experiment show called Cancer, trust me you will come back and say he is crazy !
Oh no. It hurts watching him doing cancer. I can only watch it once a year. And it really is more some kind of art performance. I think he composed this for an art project to make people aware of how painful this illness is for the people who are suffering from cancer. And it really, really hurts me watching him performing this song because he said he has to go to a really painful place in his mind to be able to perform this song.

It is definetly interesting but also very special. 😉😄 I think it is his most experimental piece. ( from the released songs.) If you want to do it start with one of his other lyricless songs like Candle or his audition song from superboy as a warm up. 😁

There's no other artist that is able to portray the pain of cancer the way Hua does. I have total respect for him to perform a special experiment show to cause cancer awareness. It's just painful to watch him to perform "Cancer."

Eric the beginning of the song was the child phase - he says he is expressing the 7 facets of himself in this song, and also that it was very difficult to write, and is extremely difficult to perform. (I think he means emotionally, not technically)

This performance is NOT the SINGER....but my comments apply......Hua was 2nd at the SInger and JJ was first.....JJ is excellent. She has worked hard all her life and deserves and has earned her success! We can only stand in respect of her and people similar to her who can fulfill their dreams so fully. Applause to her. I saw her sing one other song from SINGER 2018 - My Heart Will Go On. With no disrespect, without any unkindness intended, I say again as I wrote in my comments on the first song, there is not much that is original or new here in this song or in MHWGO in terms of her vocal dynamics, her presentation, or in her emotional delivery. She has an excellent vocal instrument, but nothing unique; nothing unique in range, in texture, in color, in dynamics. Her vocal and emotional dynamics stay pretty much the same thru out these songs; or said another way, she stays in a very narrow range from top to bottom emotionally and vocally in terms of dynamics. I say this without unkindness, but there are a million other singers on Broadway and elsewhere who can deliver vocals and this song just as well or better.....JJ can be replaced by another singer of equal ability of which there are a great many. HUA however, and Dimash can not be replaced. There is NO ONE like HUA. He is a total ORIGINAL (yes he's had his influences, but he has made his own unique style and sound from those inspirations). HUA and DQ bring a whole new experience of vocal, emotional, and performance dynamics in terms of presentation, use of vocal sounds, genuine soul felt and soul deep raw expression, and a completely new and fresh, NEVER BEFORE way of singing their songs. When Dimash or HUA covers a song, it sounds like a BRAND NEW SONG....as if we have NEVER heard it before. And their covers are FAR BETTER THAN THE ORIGINALS!! JJ is very good, very deserving of her accomplishments, but there is nothing really new or ground breaking or artistically better in her covers or any other area of her singing and performance. She is doing what has ALREADY been done MANY TIMES before. Her emotional and vocal sound dynamics are redundant, PREDICTABLE, expected with ZERO SURPRISES. With DQ and HUA we are continually and wonderfully surprised by the unexpected!! She paints a landscape maybe just slightly different than it's been painted before. HUA paints in way that takes us to a WHOLE NEW DIMENSION OF SIGHT, SOUND, COLOR, TEXTURE AND SOUL DEEP FEELING!!!!! HUA LIVES THE EMOTION AND IS THE SONG ITSELF. JJ sings ABOUT the feeling, it's not the same. I guess a traditional singer is what wins. Wishing them all great success. but I am gratified to know that HUA won the SINGER comp in 2020.....HE IS SO DESERVING!!! '
