when you solder such rca's like the cheapest ones where you say that the plastik in the middle melts,...you plug the rca in something so the heat has a way to go somewhere and doesnt stay in the rca al the plastik has a harder time to melt,...and if it melts anyway,...the center pin doesnt shift cos there is something holding it in place,if the rca is plugged in,...so you plug it in and then solder
This past year I needed new cables. I settled on Neutrik as I had good experience with their XLR connectors. The shield connection on these is excellent as it is sort of a leaf spring that keeps the contact pressing against the barrel. My old connectors would get stretched by one piece of equipment and then not make contact when used with other gear. Very bad when you demo gear at meetings and it doesn't work because the RCA cable shield contact was bent. The Neutrik is easy to insert and remove and not confusing. Amazon sells "Worlds Best Cable" with Neutrik ends and excellent Japanese coax cable for a good price. Mogami is the best, but World's Best is affordable. Good shielding will reject cell phone noise.
I have always wanted to make my own RCA’s. My only concern is how “bulky” the DIY connectors can be. I have been using Stinger 4000 series because the connector is very compact. Sometimes I put amps close to the edge of my racks or I need the signal cable to route tightly to the amp. Bulky connectors make that much harder.
Great video, this was another gem that I have always wondered myself. I wanted to ask, do you fancy doing a basic set up video showing how to get started with Helix DSP Tool? I've mostly worked out the basics but you have more experience than me :)

There are 90 degree solderable connectors.

Yeah, I will do one soon.
Hi, love the videos but really waiting for the update with the Alpine HDZ-110 subwoofer
Coming soon😉
Any solid copper ones?
For that price? Definitely not.
Last one looks quite similar to amphenol acpr. Chinese amphenol 😂
yup, bootleg Amphenol. the plastic insert is not good at all iirc
"Champhenol"
