- I purchased a 1964 Pontiac GTO drag car that was raced by Tom Truluck from the 70s to late 90s. This car ran at my local tracks the best time slip I found was in the low 12s in the quarter mile. If you know any more history or have pictures of this car please let me know
Nice!!!389 with a Tunnel-Ram dual carbs, a big cam, 4 speed!!!! Heck yeah!! Fun ,Fun, Fun!!!!!! Can't wait to see you get it done! Thanks for sharing!!!
I can’t wait either! It’s gonna be cool for sure
"Tunnel ram"? For a low revvin Pontiac? The only one I knew of was doug Nash. Good luck acquiring one of those. I like the way you think tho. Dual quads and a stick shift. "Yeah Baby!!!" :D
Come to think of it, in the 70s, I was stationed at LRAFB, and visited Honest Charlies in Tenn. He had on his show-room floor, a yellow 64 goat, with a DN tunnel ram, and a V-gate shifted 4 speed. really cool car. Wonder what ever happened to it. Just like the Boppin bear 64. Super cool stuff.
@@joequillun7790 I’ve got a cross ram on my 63 Star Chief, I’m gonna put this car back as a 4 speed and I’ve since gotten a inline dual quad intake I think I’m gonna run eventually I’d like to get tri power or something
Hell yeah!!!! Seedan too! Or pillared coupe...
Love them Cragars and Chrome Reverse wheels!!!
Excellent video!!!!!!
Appreciate Dan! Thanks for watching
My first car at 16 yrs old was a '64 GTO post car 4 spd. I bought it working part time at KFC after school. It had chrome reverse wheels when I bought it but I put chrome steel slots on it. The guy I bought it from was a supervisor at Borg Warner so my GTO had a brand new transmission in it. He was real good at tuning engines, too, so the 389 ran for all she had. You don't shake those memories.
@@mickangio16 that’s a awesome story! Sounds like a cool car
Hell yeah, good score it's not cut up bad definitely worth fixing 👍👍👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thanks for watching

Heck yeah dude! AWESOME CAR!😎👍👍
Appreciate it Lars! Thanks for watching
Righteous...I love it man! Nice find.
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
That timeslip Tom ran a 16 second, he red lighted and aborted the race. His race number is 2375. I still say that is the Mountain Goat, his blue GTO would have had the Firestone winner stickers on the center of the windshield and the antenna on the right rear 1/4. The Mountain Goat was the faster of the two.
Oh shoot! I didn’t know that I have a whole bag full of time slips I can send you pictures of on Facebook if you’re interested in seeing them
@@SandMountainBallistics it would be great to them. Any from the Honest Charley Speed shop? Later on he ran a lot at Atlanta dragway and Paradise.
Now that is some cool stuff right there! Take your time and clean her up, I agree with getting it driveable as is, you can always strip one panel at a time and fix it while doing cruise ins and having fun with it, Look forward to seeing more on this and if those guys can get ya pics and more background stories, just plain cool brother!
Thanks for watching skip!
SWEET Car❤ 🏁My engine builder just built an iron headed 400 made 506hp at 5800rpm and 550torque starting at like 3800 Rpm.
Sweet! I’m curious about what heads and cam he used! Thanks for watching
That's a cool find. It would look good in that blue or burgundy color
I think so to! It’ll probably keep its paint job for a bit I think I wanna have some fun with it first
@@SandMountainBallistics should definitely be fun
Great find Hunter!
@@DougsterWolverineGarage thanks for watching Doug!
That is sweet.Restore it too race specs.
This is Russ from FB, Tom was a Pontiac man through and through. He also had a 1970 GTO that is still being raced. Did you get the chance to talk to Toby and Mark yet?
I’ve spoken to both of them Toby is gonna see if he can find more pictures of the car for me
The Judge looks like he’s wearing a Zoot Suit.
Awesome goat. Would have to lose the cops for christ though
@@Madinfidelprepper it’s says Racers for Christ it’s and organization, where did you come up with cops for christ?
