The makeup's thick, but when you say "natural makeup" in the Philippines - people usually just mean neutral eye/lip shades. They still want it to look like makeup - especially for that price. They just got the shade of foundation and nose contour wrong.
If the foundation was matched better and the nose contour wasn’t so extreme, it would be one of the better looks you’ve had! The real question is did you look like Kendra?
So when she asked “who is Kendra?”, he replied “me!”….so he repeatedly tells her that she looks like him? In the beginning, he says something like “you’re gorgeous” followed by “I’m gorgeous”. Very odd…all of it. I suppose he thought both himself and her were gorgeous? Kendra and Judy D are gorgeous.
I get these salons probably have very limited foundation shades due to budgetary reasons, but it always bugs me how no one ever attempts to shade match. It feels like they just grab a shade and go ”good enough” and put it all over your face without a second thought.
i did a whole ass professional makeup class and we're 100% told to buy 3 different shades (one light, one medium and a dark) and mix mix mix to get the right shade. i got every 'model' for the class their 90% right shade like that.
This is miles ahead of the "typical" makeup you get.... the ONLY issue I really have is that the foundation doesn't match, but I think he used the closest available color so it was the best match out of the bottle he could do. Its a good look for 85, he did your hair, not too bad overall. Plus his tools SEEMED to be clean. Worth the price just for that.
I actually had to Google which Kendra was popular in the Philippines, I should have just checked the comments lol. But yes, I found Kendra Kramer and she is sooooo beautiful. Compliment for sure!
The end result was awesome! Maybe at first the foundation shade looked weird but I think it "settled" or whatever the right term that the foundation looked better. I like how the eye and lip looks were pretty and not clashing with each other. Proud of you, my neighbouring country 😊.
Other than the foundation shade being dark, the technique has potential for the artist. And I do agree that they did a great job with your eyebrows and the liner. Also, I liked that they weren’t using a stinky old dirty sponge and were wiping the brushes as they went
Wow Judy, you look SO pretty!! This is actually how I like to wear my makeup right now! with the light lid and the browns as transition shades. Probably one of my fave makeup looks on you thus far, if not the best so far, and that lip is stunning with that eye look! I think the cost was worth it, and you got your hair done! The only thing, is the 💛foundation, but everything else rocked!! 💖🤗
the makeup look itself is not actually bad. it’s pretty good especially the blending of the shadows! i really love the brows as well! he’s not a bad makeup artist but i think with a bit more practice and some practice with foundation/concealer matches, he would definitely be a lot more successful! he seems like a sweet guy and is definitely way more hygienic than other MUAs you’ve been to. i do agree he should have cut the crease higher to match your eye shape but it still came out really well!

I thought the same about the cut crease, a little small but it looked pretty overall especially with the white underliner and whoever “Kendra” is, she must be beautiful! When they mention your brows and wanting to “clean them up” just respond with “I’m in the process of growing them out”. That invites no questions, it stops them from asking again and put their tweezers down!

This actually turned out amazing compared to other low rated makeup salons you have gone to! The nose contour is kinda trippy and the shade is a tad off but it’s so close to being a solid look!!

Whoa. I am shocked. This is actually SO nice. Especially compared to almost every other video 😂 I love that he actually followed the shape of the lips. Judy has really nice lips and so many other makeup "artists" try to make her lips into the shape THEY want them to be. And the brows are SO impressive. You found a little piece of silver among the tin foil, there, ma'am.
It is nice but to be fair most makeup looks will look terrible in natural light and she never does the final reveal out on the street when it comes to high-end make-up, esp sponsored deals.
The look turned out amazing considering the gawd awful foundation beginnings, lol. As for the lip line he gave her, I'm not impressed because the bottom left of her lip is, "off." His line to her pout is disconnected. He was SO close because I agree, they were otherwise perfect. Okay, what sorcery is that?! In the salon you looked as yellow as my mother-in-law did when died from liver cancer (she looked like a Simpson, it was bad). Then you step out of the salon and I’m like, “Wtf, where’s the yellow?!” That was weird! In his defense, he’s probably never worked on a white woman or one as pale as you and had no idea what he was doing with foundation color. But the eye makeup was beautiful! It really was an amazing look overall, especially once you didn’t look so yellow. And your hair looked great! ❤

I had a make over by a lady at the Benefit counter. As I sat in the chair, the First Lady disappeared and another woman appeared. She was orange. Her face was the colour of an actual orange. She then made me over. I was then orange. The make up was lovely but I was orange. It was like a neon shade of foundation. 😂 You are beautiful Judy, what a shame the foundation was yellow!

They did do a good job. If they had the correct foundation shade and weren’t so heavy handed in certain areas, it would be amazing! They were also very nice and seemingly gentle with you. Up until the end when they pulled the hair patches off. I felt that! You manage to pull off any look people give you! All and all, decent job on their part. 💋
I nearly died at the mustard coloured foundation way too dark for you but the overall finished look was superb, nice to see your gorgeous hair done to complete the look.

I always use white [or a ❤nude liner for a less dramatic look] in the lower lash line. I have light blue eyes and it make them pop, and brighter, especially when you’re tired. This MUA has shown that it also accentuates brown eyes too 😍 Your eyes are beautiful 🥰 It’s a great look if it wasn’t for the yellow foundation and dodgy contour, it’s a great look ♥️
The foundation color aside, it doesn’t look horrible. I love the eyes but oh my goodness girl. That contouring on your nose. I just can’t. Natural and fresh are not the words I would use though.
