Rare Versatile D-100 In Action

- Built in 1966 only, the four wheel drive D-100 diesel tractor, along with it's gasoline powered running mate, the G-100, represents the Versatile company's entry into the tractor building market. This articulated open station tractor was built in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Power is delivered from a Ford built 5.9 litre (363ci) naturally aspirated inline six diesel developing a modest 100 horsepower. The transmission system is a somewhat complex affair with multiple ratio's available through a multi gear transfer case and gearbox with power being delivered to all four wheels with reduction hubs. The drawbar is not equipped with a PTO but does offer two hydraulic circuits delivering fluid at 22gpm. Filmed at Pioneer Acred Museum of Irricana, Alberta.

Just a wee bit to wake her up after a cold night, she is due for an engine overhaul as it is.
That little bit won't hurt.
It was a nice start. Cranking to get some oil pressure then just a little sniff and she took off no problem. I truly dont believe this does any damage. But still, a lot of people do abuse either and it will do damage if your not careful.
My MF 1805 has the either kit installed from the factory. I never use however as I always preheat the engine before starting.
