      But yes, same thought here, right in the theater when they hit on the connection between the siblings. Just tranq her for a few days at least to gain some time, find a weakness, destroy some McGuffin or other.

He becomes a practically invinsible rage-monster whenever he gets his hands on a sword, so Nuada is screwed.

    The "knockoff Pale Man" is actually an angel, and the most accurate depiction of a biblical angel seen in film. It's a Seraphim if anyone is wondering.
    There's also Ophanim (wheels inside wheels, covered with eyes), and cherubim (which have four faces)

    • @SgtSupaman
      @SgtSupaman 5 років тому +8

      Not really. Seraphim look mostly human with six wings (two with which they fly, two cover their face, and two cover their feet). That is the biblical description of them (Isaiah 6:2, if you want to look it up yourself). The only times creatures are described with eyes on wings in the Bible, it is part of saying they have eyes all over their bodies. I can't think of any biblical description of any creature with eyes only on its wings.

      Cherubim don’t merely have 4 faces, they have 4 heads, 1 each of an eagle, ox, lion and man. This is very important theological symbolism and imagery and has to be taken into account.
      As for a seraph, the movie depiction misses the mark by quite a way. There is no description of a seraph having eyes on their wings and not their face, and a seraph is characterised by inexhaustible fire and only being in the company of God in the heavenly planes.

In the first movie, whenever he was out, he had to wear it. In this movie, he's only seen *ONCE* without the water apparatus. Every other time he's walking around like he doesn't need it, unlike the first movie.

    The Ables is a good story. While there are flaws, which it sounds like are at least partially addressed in the reissue, it was still a good book with a fun,interesting, stimulating, and not the least bit cliche, story line. If you enjoy cinema sins, you should enjoy this book.I have since passed this pin to my son who is of an age with the protagonist in this book, and thus far he is really enjoying this book.
    Further, it takes a tremendous amount of work to write a story, I've tried and failed several times. This effort is far better than most authors first forays into writing. these guys provide content that we enjoy almost daily, it's well worth the minimal investment to enjoy this book. Personally read it on paper and audio, depending on what i was doing, and i enjoyed the audio way more. I ended up just listening to the last half entirely.
    If you line cinema sins and you either are or were once a twelve year old, you'll enjoy this book.

    This film has so, so, so many wonderful elements to it. I wish it wasn't hitched to such a tedious, stupid plot, but getting to see the Angel of Death, the brilliance of Seth Macfarlane's voice-acting and especially the death of the forest god...amazing, and considering some of the comic-book shit that's gotten sequels it's bewildering that they didn't give Del Toro a shot at a third movie. I mean, his reputation has only improved since this film too.
