I thought your quick explanation of the zone system got the point across nicely without unnecessary complications. Well done!
At 18:00 you could have used the History to see the before and after. Nice Tony, well explained!
Excellent tutorial. I am rediscovering NIK Collection for use when scanning and fixing photo scans from film
Thanks. The tip about converting to a smart object is very useful
Excellent illustration of why to care about zones 0 and 10 and how to adjust with control points. But two questions: 1/ why not just set the black and white points in Lightroom or Photoshop before going into Nik? And 2/ what about zones 1 - 9? Should I care about them similarly and, if so, how and why?
I use NIK with Capture One and with your great tutorial it gets even better. I´ll check it with LR as well soon. Great.
Great video Anthony - thanks very much. I appreciate your explanation of the zone mapping system and how to use it - I've been using Nik for several years and had no idea that tool was available or how to use it.
Anthony, you're such a great teacher! Thank you very much for your videos!
Anthony, again, many thanks, keep up the good work Best regards Neil
Anthony thanks for a great video. I'll be here every time you have a new one. If you put all your classes in a DVD or similar (download, etc.) I bet you there will be a lot of people like me (mainly old photographers) that would love to buy it.
This is great thank you . I’ve just readjusted 2 prints I had sent for printing
i like your way to use Upoints and zone system in Silver FX pro. I 'll use it. Thank you.
Excellent info, and for me, the perfect pace. And you don’t leave out verbalizing steps as you go along, I.e. I don’t get lost! Thanks.
Nice tutorial, now I know when to use the zone system.
Btw: you can compare the changes you made in the second edit in the plugin by simply clicking on the previous state in the history panel.
Thanks Anthony, as always a very informative and enjoyable tutorial.
Excellent tutorial.
Superb tutorial!
Hi Anthony, I am a long time LR user and now learning ON1 2019. In this video you talk about using a smart layer or object, so you can do further editing. Is there any way to do this in LR which I doubt? What about ON1?
This is my first time asking you a question. For some time I have been a listener of your videos. In my opinion you set the gold standard for instructional videos. Please keep up your outstanding work.
Thank you so much for your time and help.
Awesome tutorial, Antony thank you
Very clear explanation again! Thx 😄
the zone system is a great tool if u want to truly understand ur black and white and even color photography
Thanks you from Spanish
Thanks!
Thank you very much Bob!
Thank you
Why would you want to examine histogram areas other than 1 and 10?
Can it be installed in ipad pro?
Haven't I seen this before???????? Years earlier??
Is there a zone system for color?
