For those people who's not really a fan of this anime, It's because they're not actually watch Fairy Tail in their childhood, that's why they found this anime kinda childish for them because it's never show any dead character who's actually died in a fight, especially in the early season.. it's one of my childhood anime beside Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Nube, Digimon, etc.. So this anime have a special place in my heart, and it's always great to me..
Yea, the fact that the show is childish doesn't make it automatically bad, I agree. However it is labeled as shounen, and has a ton of erotic fanservice, so I would definetly not show it to kids either.
@@Trash_G0lem pre-teen is the exact age to watch it. it's pretty dang rare to see nowadays teenager watching anime, not even kids. seems like the studio animation also stopped releasing kids anime like Digimon, Pikachu, Sailormoon, Shin-chan or even Doraemon. They're more interest and focused on what's trending. Can't help but that's what happen right now, because right now everything is digital.
The song sorrows return makes me cry every time I hear it. So much emotion in such a simple song and yet, every song or moment in fairy tail no matter how sad or inspirational, always has an breath of hope in it. That is why this is one of my favorite shows, and I look forward to the 100 year quest saga coming this year on the anime!

I like how you pointed out that there is some combination of "Hope" and "Sadness" which is used in many times throo series by using high or low tempo (and ofc sometimes diff instruments) depending on if they want to use it as "hype" fight music, or as sad moment music...they play with it a lot...
Man you couldn’t explain Fairy Tail any better if you’ve never seen it, it has its darker moments and it’s sad moments, but the lighthearted nature of the series is always there. It’s a feel good series, you root for the guild, you feel the emotions of the guild and it resonates in you. You begin to over time feel like a member of the Fairy Tail guild, a place for you to have fun, improve your magic, develop strong bonds with people.

Maybe I'm giving the theme too much credit but I think it really captures the themes of the show. Every instrument that joins in has this powerful beat that lines up with the rest. It's like a clan rallying together with a single voice. Fairy Tail is all about family and how even the wildest, strangest people can form unbreakable bonds. Even in the chaos they are always together.
Was just going to comment something similar. This song has so many instruments - personalities if you will - that could easily fight for being the "main" attention grabber. Whether that's the guitar, the flute, the violin, the singer, or any number of other parts. Yet all these discordant parts. These different, sometimes extreme personalities, manage to work together to become something worth much more than the sum of its parts. Just like the Fairy Tail guild itself.
Always wondered how Yasuharu Takanashi nailed the Celtic folk sound so well. I'm a musician who makes mostly European folk music, and this soundtrack always impresses the hell out of me. Id also like to add the Mago de Oz was a big part of early folk metal. And if you'd like a good recommendation for a folk metal group that is more in line with the vibe of the Fairytail ost, try Korpiklaani, they also have that kind dancy/upbeat sound.
If you love this music, and Takanashi's style, then listen to Oda Nobuna no Yabou's ost, Smile Precure, I'm gonna be twintail, Shinmai Maou no Testament... He is just so good!
If you gonna react to more Fairy Tail OST I hope you react to Silver's theme, it's really underrated and it's awesome, the guitar is always sending chills, pun intended. It's so so so good

I might be a bit late to comment on this video, but if you think the Main Theme of Fairy Tail is good, you should also hear the Tenroujima version as well as Dragon Force
The WHOLE soundtrack is folk metal. I didn't liek the series at all, but the soundtrack is pure FIRE! You definitely want to listen to it through... this "main theme" isn't even the best song by far. Battle themes is where it's at :) "Black Flame" for example :)
Fairy Tail is rarely perceived as a good series after the halfway point of the series (due to the author becoming a bit of a sell-out), but unlike countless other series, the quality of the series itself won't affect the perception of how damn good the OST is. There are countless incredible tracks throughout all the Fairy Tail seasons.

If you watch the show the soundtrack will make sense to you. The setting of the show is 1500s Europe. Like the Viking era.

If you ever do any other Fairy Tail songs, you should do 'Destiny' and/or 'The Promised Land Far Away'
