My rankings, favorite to least favorite: 1. After Hours I really enjoy the cinematic feel of the album. Besides that, I just enjoy him jumping around different generes a lot. 2. Starboy This album carried me through high school. Unlike the OG fans, I tend to like Abel’s hip-hop/rap/trap sound more so than R&B, and while I think BBTM had more of that, Starboy just did it better with what little it had. 3. My Dear Melancholy, I really enjoy electronic music, so MDM was definitely up my alley. This album introduced me to Gaesaffelstein. 4. Beauty Behind The Madness I discovered Abel with this album back when Can’t Feel My Face got popular in 2014-2015. Not my favorite but I actually enjoy the Pop-ish sound of it. 5. Trilogy There’s definitely some good stuff here, I like the sound of the album. But only a few songs I actually enjoyed enough to add to my playlists. 6. Kiss Land I just don’t like this album at all. Something about his voice on here just sounds...off, wrong.

@@mauig.3481 my ranking doesn’t do justice lmfao lemme get this off the bat, theres no piece that Abel has put out that I dislike 😂, Thursday and After Hours are just the two albums I find myself going back to the least. Thursday is actually pretty damn good but everything above it I find wanting to listen to way more. And for After Hours, I mainly only find myself ever listening to the title track AH, Heartless, Blinding Lights, In Your Eyes, and Scared to Live, I’m really not a huge fan of any of the other tracks tbh which might sound whack but I’m just not as into the specific experience Abel sets up in After Hours. I find the cinematic experience of Kiss Land for example, to be leagues better than After Hours, but again that just comes from personal taste. I 100% respect the talent and amazing production that went into After Hours, it’s just not my personal cup of joe.
