An apt message for me as I had just received an invitation to come and preach at a Workers' meeting in hill country in Sri Lanka. I told that brother I would think and let you know. This message challenged me to consider every invitation after much prayers. but being a servant of God (Shepherd) I have to preach every Sunday to flock. Again prayer and preparation are indispensable.

Even Bro Augustin Jebakumar could not attend his mother's funeral service. It is really a tough time to choose sometimes between family and ministry. We do not abdicate the responsibility of family rather we trust God and leave the matters in his hand and go!

Jer. 48:10-11 - Interesting to note that these verses were to Chaldeans if they do not bey the commandment of God in destroying the arrogant Moabites , they will be punished! Both are pagan countries yet sovereign JHWH uses one pagan country to punish other pagan country, and then punishes the punished! Here the context clearly suggests that sword id literal sword. But this verse is solemn warning to all the Elect if they do not take God's ministry seriously they will be disciplined.

Many great giants-preachers and teachers fell into the prey of devil and fell into immorality because devil was attacking them FROM WITHIN! SO PREACHERS TEACHERS BE WARE...EXCEPT JESUS ANYONE MAY FALL APART AND FALL AWAY FROM MINISTRY. SOME NARROWLY ESCAPED. PREACHER MUST PRAY FOR HIMSELF FIRST BEFORE PRAYING FOR OTHERS
Very useful message. But i suggest you to prayerfully avoid your arrogance on invitation for seeking your availability for preaching.
