I started on pods and have slowly moved over to MTL RTAs due to your channel. Not only has it got me off the 40+ cigarettes a day (!) it has also given me an interest and a hobby There are some days I spend more time coil wrapping, juice making and trying different airflows in different devices than I do actual vaping. I will never tell anyone not to smoke who is old enough to do so (although I will say that I wish you wouldn't! My mother smoked but never inhaled and it still killed her in the end). I can understand how it feels like you are running out of things to cover on vaping but I now have a few MTL RTAs that I don't believe you have covered, also might have been fun to get a load of chinese clones and see how they measured up? Whatever you do, thanks for all the MTL videos and I'm sure I'll still be referring to them regularly when I forget how the FEV 4.5s comes apart or the best way to wick a bishop! Also will miss your pronunciation of chim-in-ey cos I don't think pipes have them! :)
Thanks Stu for sharing your thoughts and I thank you for your kind words. Don’t worry I am a vaper through & through & the occasional pipe sessions are not gonna change that fact. I would continue to upload vape reviews when I find something that grabs my attention either hardware or NETs. It is simply another hobby that I am interested to pursue along side my vaping. That is all to it. Oh btw pipes do have a chim-in-ey but it is called a shank😊 one last thing my grandfather who smoked a pipe for 80 years passed at the age of 102 in good health simply his soul decided he wants to unite with his maker 😊
Hi Nathan, I think my comment will echo what others have said,
I get the impression you work hard for your living and have done your whole life, and you've brought up a family which in itself is no easy task.
So I would say let yourself have your pipe or cigar whenever you feel like it, you've gotten off the dangerous ones in the cigarettes and as your doctor friend said walking down the street you breathe in a lot worse, as well your a fit bloke with all your running,
And my final thought is life is short enough and fragile enough as it is, you deserve your pipe or cigar and more over you deserve it guilt free.
And even though I wouldn't partake in a pipe or cigar I would definitely subscribe to The Vaping Piper',

It struck a chord with me when you said it was becoming a drag and a drain always thinking about it so I had to say something. I promise you you have zero guilt to feel at all especially not over a pipe/cigar,
I hope you do set up the new channel and I think it will be just as successful, people, myself included can see how genuine you are and in today's dram filled social media world it is refreshing and very welcome.

I like to praise myself for the years of smoke free and that is how I stay off. I couldn't do what you are doing, but whatever you do here, I will enjoy. I actually watch you as I like your character and honesty, I don't even vape NETs.

I feel exactly like @Adrian Mason. Before watching this channel I avoided tobacco vapes, and I still hate synthetic tobacco vapes. Also I vape using a pod device, not a rebuildable. I enjoy your videos for your personality as much as for the subject matter. As I said, to the first pipe video I am not interested in pipe or cigar smoking for myself but you do you!

I was watching you sharing your thoughts as a full time vaper & on occasion sampling the age old tradition of pipe smoking it struck me how refreshing it is to watch a honest & open minded approach publicly discussed on a vaping channel that i am sure many will feel the same but would not admit openly about it. As you already spilled the beans on my personal view on this subject and even showed the meerschaum pipe i gave you 😁 i would not add anymore on this video but would be very interesting to read the feedback & comments by others. Anyway as you know Nathan what ever you decide in regards to your pipe channel i will understand & support. You deserve much respect for your transparency & honesty.

I had same problem I’m 72 started smoking a pipe which got me off cigarettes been vaping 7 years nets for 4 years I have a selection of beautiful pipes which are well looked after about a year ago I filled one up and the joy of tasting a real tobacco wow so now I don’t vape on Sunday I enjoy a pipe day so I would say go for it

I watch pipe and cigar reviews all the time, I've never smoked a pipe wouldn't know where to start not saying I wouldn't try it and I have had the occasional cigar. Your reviews got me to persevere with NETs never got on with them for a long time but now I love them especially the bolder ones..Sorry for the long message but for one you would have my subscription on your new channel good luck with it Nathan I hope it is as successful as this channel.

As you enjoy a cigar and your pipe just indulge yourself Nathan and while they're not for me have some fun with your new channel. Mtl rtas are out of vogue at the mo but hopefully they'll come back. Look forward to your review of the Diplomat, it only comes with a 1.8mm under coil pin but I imagine they'll send you the optional extra ones. If you get the chance the Ennequadro Moka is a bit different and worth a look, I've got a clone of it and like it. Take care. 🙂

Me too. I smoke my dad's pipes occasionally in his memory and usually during the winter (his birthday was in February) and I will enjoy a cigar maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

Life is all about enjoying life and the quality of life with family and friends.
For me, if your family and friends say it fine with them that you enjoy the pipe say once a week and importantly that’s what you want- then sit back and enjoy.
I’m similar than you in that I stopped smoking cigarettes and cigars about five/six years ago and today mainly vape NET’s some of which I add a little Rum, Whiskey, Brandy, liquorish…. eliquid flavouring… I’ve also had the very occasional urge for a fine cigar but have not needed to make that step as of yet and my family and friends would be supportive if I did.

Nathan, Really all I can say on the matter is we only live once, as long as you aren't doing anything that is going to harm another person. You should do what makes you happy and able to live a fulfilling life. I gave up smoking cigarettes almost 10 years ago through vaping. That said I have no issue with someone enjoying a pipe or a cigar. Thanks for the wonderful videos that you produce I really enjoy just listening to you speak.

Nathan, i have been a big follower of your channel from the beginning of your life away from the stinkies. I began vaping 12 years ago after more than 30 years of smoking and yes it was very hard as we all know but I managed it. I really do think that you are a good human being but I do think that there are some flaws to your thought processes on this occasion. One of the main reasons for me stopping smoking was my family, they will love you know matter what but some times they will not tell you their true feelings, they only want to see you happy. ( The second hand smoke that effect’s everyone around you, the smell of yourself, your clothing, your home, smoke permeates everything and most importantly ! It enters everyone’s lungs that are in your orbit.). Nobody has to suck on the exhaust pipe of a car to receive internal damage to their body.I do wish you well and I will be forever grateful for you being the man that told me about la tabaccaheria . I know that you have a loyal following that listen and believe in your opinion’s (myself included) but I do hope that it doesn’t back fire this time round. As you alluded to yourself ! With all of the best intentions in the world, similar to an alcoholic. It will be one, maybe two ….!! God Bless my friend.

When I smoke in my office it is my office with no others around while I smoke and the lingering smoke is very quickly disappearing through very good air circulating system. As for smoke smell in my clothing, well Micheal, pipe tobacco is not like cigarettes smoke and the smell is very pleasant aroma that all enjoy including my wife and smell is harmless.
A very honest chat Nathan I have followed you for years you got me off the cigarettes with your net reviews but I still and not afraid to say it have the odd cigar when round my friends he has a humidor with some quality cigars I maybe have one once every 2 weeks with a brandy and I look forward to it as well but would go back to smoking full time so personally I would stop beating yourself up about it you have helped me and thousands of others my opinion is once in a while would not be a massive issue we all work hard to gain the pleasure in life all the best sir

I love your videos Nathan, everyone goes on there own journey, if you feel like this is what you want to do then do it! Its your life so go for it! When i went on holiday this year i brought a little pack of cigars and my a my wife sat on the belcony and enjoyed one each night and we both vape! I havent touched one since but like you said it does grind you down, so my view is to do what makes you happy! 👊

I smoked pipe tobacco from 2003-2016. I loved my mixes so much I inhaled them for I am a tobaccaholic. I only tried NET for the first time mid 2022 because I was worried they would be so close to the real thing I would relapse back into pipe tobacco. Luckily I feel very satisfied with net’s and have not had an urge to go back tho on occasion I think about it. Ultimately we all do what we’re compelled to do and if you can’t scratch the itch solely with net’s I say try your new plan 👍

The main thing is trying to keep it in check, for me vaping fixes that. I love cigars and before i started vaping i would smoke 2 or 3 a day but now I smoke 1 or two a week sometimes but I also go weeks or months without any cigars easily.

Yes I agree with you Dan for the majority of the time I do relax with my e-pipe & good pipe blend NET especially with my morning coffee or evening beverage but every once in awhile I would like to enjoy a real briar pipe & pipe tobacco blend. That is all I need😊Certainly my vaping is perfect for 99.9% of the time.
Well, Nathan, if you've decided to read the phone book from A to Z, i would be front row central to watch it. I consider you an old friend even though we've never met and god knows we may never will. As far as smoking the odd ball........ My happiest memories (prior to quitting smoking and starting to vape} are opening tobacco pouches and smelling the incredibly and indescribably rich aroma of fresh tobacco!!!!!!!! Haven't smoked since I took up vaping, except for a couple of cigarillos once a year. Does that make me a smoker??? Do I really care??? Did I feel satisfied? No, no and YES!!!!!

a little bit late, but I am very busy these days. Even though I don't smoke pipes or cigars, I will subscribe to your new channel, The Vaping Piper, and definitely tune in for some relaxation on the weekends, of course while enjoying a delicious NET. I believe there shouldn't be anything against the weekly pleasure of a pipe, and maybe you can even taste a corresponding NET alongside the pipe tobacco in a comparison.
There's a new, interesting vaporizer on the Italian NET scene again, namely the Ellipse by BKS, which was created by the two Italian vaping giants Andrea Pastore and Antonio Mazzei. As the name suggests, the deck has the shape of an ellipse, which is supposed to provide a new airflow and consequently great flavor experiences. They've paid attention to an appealing, compact design and offer the vaporizer at a fair price.
Perhaps we'll get to see the Ellipse RTA here in the future.

I had a "cigar phase" and never smoked pipe, alltough i always enjoyed the smell of pipe smoke. Anyways, for me Vaping ticks all the boxes, but I would certainly tune in, even if it's just to hear you reminisce about tobaccos, pipes and what not.

Hello Nathan, in answer to your question I think you must do whatever makes you happy and contented, with the emphasis on contented, although as you have shown us your pipes it seems you have already made your decision which is fair enough because everyone has the right to personal choice.
I am puzzled as to why you would think people would view you differently just because you have returned to occasional pipe smoking ???

Smoked a pipe for years when younger. Those were the days when there were proper tobacconists - with jars of luscious stuff on shelves and racks of expensive and not so expensive briars. Spent a fortune. Wonderful places now sadly mostly gone.
Just wanted to wish you luck on your journey. Not too sure about 'The Vaping Piper', though. Has connotations of bagpipes. 'The Vaping Pipeman' perhaps? You wouldn't ask a chap if he was a piper, but you might enquire whether he's a pipeman. Just a thought.

As you mentioned, the focus here is on sharing experiences with pipes. While it might be intriguing to compare experiences between vaping and pipes, there's a potential downside: you might discover that using pipes is more satisfying, leading you to vape less and less.
@huxxam. Don't worry vaping for me is now part of my life and i cannot see myself ever preferring the pipe over my MTL RTA's & NET's if i do sample a pipe blend it will be very social and strictly implemented to once a week or less, that is more then enough to quench my tobacco leaf craving.
I think you can do anything you want to do because it’s your choice. I can’t smoke cigars or smoke a pipe because I need to inhale anything that I smoke or vape so I just don’t know how it’s possible to enjoy anything that you smoke without inhaling it. But I support whatever you want to do because it’s not my place to tell you if you are wrong or right. I look forward to all your content.

I was giggling when reading your words " I need to inhale anything that I smoke or vape"😊 Pipe smoking is for taste only that is why pipe smoking is less harmful then cigarettes. I tend to chain vape just before i smoke a pipe to rid of any nicotine cravings so i can enjoy the full aromas with my taste buds without the need to inhale. Also when smoking a pipe you do absorb small amounts of nicotine through the mouth & nostrils, hence the term used, nicotine hit strong / weak referring to pipe smoking. You might learn a thing or two when the vaping piper channel is launched😊
I think most of us who follow you are "over 25". I have thought for a long x our style is on the way out. When i find a mod I like i try to buy 2 because I always tell myself Can I get another? Can I get parts? Our way is no the way of the future but it is the way I like it.

who cares about status? there are NET's that you can''t fully enjoy if you dont have any actual tobacco experience, there's now way around this fact. I vape to get my nicotine and I never turned down a good cigar or pipe blend. Life is short, enjoy it fully. I would love to hear your reviews on tobacco aswell as NET's. What's the closet NET you have tried to a golden Virginia tobacco and a Benson & hedges gold cigarette? Haven't really come across anything like these yet, and these were what I smoked. God bless 🙏
There isn’t any NET that is replica of a particular cigarette brand. They are rather a replica of a particular tobacco leaf or blend. I never smoked Benson & hedges but I assume the leaf is golden Virginia. If you want you can try bright leaf Virgina by juice cabin. Or the Italian Foglia Oro by dreamods.
@@netvaper ive done about 700mg of FC Virginia that's a nice tobacco taste, not into fruits or desserts but may try some of the juice cabin ones, just for a change. But I've got burly, canvadish, turkey, English etc etc in concentrate which I need do, but at the moment my favourite would have to be juice cabin's menthol Blast or whatever its called. One more question and it's regarding batteries, which brand and ampage would you recommend? Cheers for the reply. Update on the few tanks ive brought, but the 4.51 I purchased original air filters and rings, and the kayfun prime I ordered the metal and plastic tank with drip tip plus orings fits perfectly on the clone, think I might buy the original if it ever comes back into stock, the sxk Skyline r, nice atomizer but that top fill part is a bad design in my opinion, and a pain to unscrew to refill, maybe mines just bad threading, might order the YFTK version and see if that's any better but this is the tank I use for nights out as I'm not to bothered if i lose it to be honest 👍
Hello Nathan, go get yourself some Inawera Tabac DNB and start with 10 drops in your e-liquid. It imparts a depth and 'ashy' flavour to tobacco juice that might give you the flavour you are looking for. Flavour Art Black Fire is another one that enriches tobacco juice.

Personally, i wouldn't get too hung up about terms such as whether you're a 'vaper' or a 'smoker'. Given the fact, as your doctor friend mentioned, that smoking a pipe once or twice a week really isn't going to impact your health to any degree I'd relax and go with it.
We can overthink these dilemmas sometimes and consider ourselves a 'failure' if we haven't stuck to the our resolutions. There's no need to see vaping and smoking in black and white terms, a purist might, but there's really no rules here and definitely no need for beating oneself up about it too much.
Have the odd pipe whilst enjoying all those lovely nets out there at the same time!

I never used to piping a real pipe but I regularly vaping on my vaping pipes and really enjoy it. Tough I think the channel name and logo wouldn't be references a specific way to vape like AIO, RTA or Pipe or Dripping etc. Instead it would be continued to focusing on the tobacco taste vaping with all known types of hardware.

Hmm in the end it’s only up to you but there is a reason why you struggle to start like a Little Devil sitting on your shoulder arguing why it is ok and if you think about it long enough he will win xD
If i start searching Infos about anything i maybe want to buy and watching rewies i will buy it in most cases even if i don’t need it in the end just because it was in my mind to long and there are allways people telling how good it is.
Long Story Short: i wont start Smoking anything no matter what anyone say but it’s up to you of course.
I would suggest to buy a reaaal good Epipe like one from decodes with a real nice pipish mouth piece. Or at least start thinking about it, lets get it to your mind and see what happens. They are beautiful, different Wood Types from 2xx € up to over 1k if i am not wrong. And search/enjoy a real good net with a real good epipe setup.

Thanks Thomas for your sharing your thought & suggestions. I do vape an e-pipe & enjoy vaping it with good pipe blends NETs, but honestly forget the pipe smoking element, if you enjoy exquisite wood work, no e-pipe can come close to a real briar pipe designed by a true craftsmanship artisan pipe maker. That is my opinion of coarse 😊
I feel like I've had this discussion with you at least twice already. I know that I commented a few months ago when you brought up the subject of occasional pipe smokers. If you've been thinking about it all this time, then just do it already! You will surely never run out of ideas. Some pipe presenters have been posting consistently for many years. As for vaping content, I still strongly recommend that you try out and review the FEV BF-1. Even if you don't think you will like it, you owe it to yourself to at least try it out.
Thanks Chris. Yes it has been discussed in the past but i kept fighting it. It feels good to read all the support & understanding 😊 As for the Fev BF-1 to be honest my Fev VS Dual is hardly ever not within reach and i can't imaging any other Fev taking its place😊

I was heavy smoker 30 years ,, in my country is social thing everyone loves to chill out who friends in caffe drinking coffee and smoking. Cigar and pipe smoking for me ( same from my grandpa's) was something more personal so I used to smoke good cigar ( pipe not so much bcz all the fuss about cleaning etc &and now I change cotton almost every day on some MTL RTA 😊) in private time whit nice whisky and that is only thing I didn't find in vape ( maybe they will produce something which gives me same woody, spicy, aromas) .
I can't stand cigarettes, but every year I treat myself whit good cigar and glass of whiskey .
This New Year I got ready whit Cohiba Piramides extra + 2 alc shots 😊 of 21y scotch.
Tobacco is not a crime ,but it has big stigma bcz history of Big Tobacco companies lies. Tobacco is in perfumes , and what it is in pure form not harmful in any way ( cigarettes kills not tobacco) . I don't see any problem on occasionally treat yourself whit bowl if you like pipe's,, I have drip tip same as for pipe so that is my pipe( I'm Vape/ 2 times a year cigar man )but I also have nice collection of pipes ,, bcz lot of them are hand made

I am sorry for maybe sounding a bit rough but I'll share my thinking.
1. Why does it matter if you're considered a smoker or not, and if someone will tag you as one?
2. Smoking any amount of cigarettes/cigars even once a month will keep your psychological dependence on it.
3. On the topic of psychological dependence, no one keeps smoking, even after wanting to leave it because "he/she loves it too much",
but sorely because of the psychological dependence. The physiological dependence of tobacco disappears after no more than 24 hours.
In my opinion, you're trying to rationalize an excuse to keep smoking.
Yes, living in a populated environment with a lot of fumes around does mess with your health, the same way cigarettes or cigars do.
In different amounts, lethality and long term effects but they all do nevertheless. Yes, smoking cigarettes is more harmful in a way because you inhale it into your lungs,
but cigars have much much more potent chemicals both in quality and quantity.
My point is, that EVERYTHING affects your health. Pure AIR affects your health, eating ANY food does it. The sole reason we get old is because we're getting "damaged" by all the outside factors on both the cellular and DNA levels, nothing else. That being said, if you can stop doing anything harmful to yourself you should BUT don't force yourself to. If you LOVE to smoke, keep smoking but everything you do, do in BALLANCE. Also if you have harmful hobbies find healthy ones to let's say balance it out.

Personally I rarely inhale, I vape just as I would smoke a cigar. Over half the time I go nicotine free too. I also like vaping straight VG, it's sweet, I give my palate a break, most of the time I vape just VG really. Occasionally smoking could easily co-exist with vaping. Once you are not a junkie as in you have control - it's easier.

For me going back to smoking in any way, shape or form is just not going to happen. I got a huge reduction in the cost of my life insurance after a year of not smoking, something you might want to look into. I gave up the stinkies in 2016 and have gone from DL to RDL to MTL but every once in a while I get the urge to take a couple of full on direct lung hits and then it's back to MTL maybe something like that would work for you? Anyway, you appear to be over 21 years of age so as the kids say you do you.

Absolutely it is. NET’s are a natural product so the flavours are not added extract like fruit liquids and are very delicate that would taste better on a MTL RTA. The other plus is that NETs gunk up the coil & cotton very quickly so with a RTA you just clean the coil & change the cotton but with a pod you need either a new pod or coil every few days, so you save a lot in the long term. As for a 1st RTA there quite a few for instance the Valor by Cthulhu I just reviewed is a good option. If you check my MTL RTA playlist you would be able to narrow it down to a few then I can help to narrow it down further. Another option is La Tabaccheria 4pod NETs that are designed especially for pods. So you can give those a go first.
@@netvaper Thank you for being informative, the problem is i am in Dubai and sadly la tabac didn’t ship to here, But i am confused between which MTL to choose and to be easy to build and great for taste, i like bold tobacco taste without sweet so i choose Latakia from black note its great but the coil gunk up only 1 day!, do you name any MTL good for me as beginner in MTL world that doesn’t have any split back issues, and what do you use freebase or salt?
No surprise that the Latakia blend gunks up your stock coil as it is full bodied. Let me know what MTL RTA’s are available to you and decide which one is best. As for nicotine I use freebase only.

@@Cigardoothe two you listed are different. The vaporesso is a stock coil kit and the bishop is a MTL RTA. You need to decide if you want to venture in rebuildables. The Bishop would be my choice

Man you should smoke a pipe once a night. I don't see any harm to you or anyone else. Your not inhaling it so what's the problem? Cigarettes are the killer!

I've said, the day they make vaping impossible to do, I'm going for pipe smoking.
It has always been a taste experience for me, I don't need to inhale tobacco into my lungs with a pipe.
PS, Diplomat is one of the few atty's I consider, the designer is a net tobacco vaper, and a very nice person who answered my questions with good depth.
@hertugen.online. Yes i agree pipe smoking is primarily for tasting the wonderful variety of tobacco leaf and not so much for nicotine craving that for me vaping addresses fully. As for the Diplomat when it will arrive to me i will of course review it.
I've got a stash of snuff ready if they ban vaping.
