- The Apple Clear Case has never been reviewed on the channel before so I finally took the plunge to check it out for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and with one glaring issue with the case, I find that its not that bad!

I’ve had the Apple clear case for both the iPhone 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max, about three years with it. My current 12 Pro Max’s clear case has only very slightly yellowed. if you drop your phone often, you’d probably replace the case with the internal cracks sooner than you would because of yellowing. overall, if you just want a fuss-free MagSafe clear case, I would recommend it!
Does dust get in the back easily?
It will be difficult to put the case on and off if they closed the bottom. The case is hard and rigid.
this is somehow super slippery but grippy in the hand, I dont understand how but I had to get rid of this case lol
I was on the fence with getting this case for soooooo long lol I am actually using it right now and it is the best clear case I have ever used. I love the slim profile, love the fit. The button are annoying at first but they do get better and yeah the open bottom does worry me a little not too much though.
If they can close the top..you can close the bottom.

Bc of the material, which they chose because it doesn't yellow, it's a very rigid case. So in order to get it on and off the phone, they have to leave the bottom open

If they covered the bottom part, I imagine it would be very hard to take it on and off since its a hard case. Swiping is also easier since nothing is on the way. Best clear case I had so far.
My 13 pro clear case still hasn’t yellowed, I’m assuming the 14 version should hold up as well guys.

As someone who stans Apple at times, I appreciate the honest review of the clear case, Tee! Apple could definitely do better with the case itself. As an alternative, I've run the ESR Halolock Krystec Clear Case for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and for the price, it's the best clear case I've ever used!
Has your ESR case become yellow? The reason I’m wanting to buy apples clear case is for this reason that they don’t turn yellow over time.
@@coolnik It has not! The Krystec has the anti-yellowing tech that helps. The case is used pretty heavily and still no yellowing. The buttons are also a plus!
@@randyjose7466 is there any yellowing yet now? I noticed that it usually takes a few months for cases to go yellow even with no yellow tech.
@@kobekzn It is not yellow. I clean the outside of the case pretty frequently, which has helped keep the life and shine of the case strong. It's done really well for me.

These clear MagSafe cases aren’t even that bad. Definitely better than any other tpu material clear cases that yellow over time. Also definitely better that the silicon cases too.
My problem with these cases is that they CRACK, easily, and BAD.
That’s unfortunate right there. I guess that’s where it being so thin has its downsides.
This was my first official case and I wasn’t impressed. Got the silicone then leather. Like the silicone. Love the leather

Idk why people are so worried about protecting their phone so much, if you gonna have it for a few years let it get dinged up, it builds character.
Ehhhhh not really. Some people want to keep their phone in the best condition possible. Some people sell old devices to get the new ones so it’s very important to some.
I’m glad you mentioned the finger prints issue. It’s not a big issue for me, but it’s something to think about.
Love the look of this case but it it’s soooo slippery. I know it’s the nature of a polycarbonate plastic case but the amount of close calls dropping my phone makes it hard for me to use with any regularity.
Yeah it’s for sure slippery. If they can just find a way to add some grip it would be perfect.
The closed bottom and color MagSafe rings are a great idea. That would really help. And figure out how to make it not so slippery! 😂

The exposed bottom is a real deal-breaker for me personally. The iPhone Pro’s stainless steel frame scratches too easily, it doesn’t look pretty.

I bought the Phone Rebel clear cases and they yellowed after 2 months. Hoping these will be much better.
Just a heads up, I ended up with a scuff on my phone using this case when it slid off my lap getting out of my car😬I had the luck of an unlucky angle as it hit the concrete at a few feet high. Atleast it didn’t break for crack and did all in all save the phone (iPhone 13 promax) but there is a possibility this still ends up not fully protecting the phone👍other than that I like the case and hasn’t yellowed yet 🤙thanks for the review. Awesome content🤙as of now I’m using the smartish case (highly recommended)
I have avoided this case every year and finally picked it up this year for my 13 Pro Max and it is in my top 2 for clear cases. I was really surprised. My other favourite is the Ringke Fusion Magnetic.
I just bought the Apple clear case for 12 pro max and it’s one of my favourite no scratches period I have no idea no idea what coating apple has used but no scratches no yellow until you put the his case on your phone you don’t realize the quality that has gone into this case I love it. It’s expensive $70 no doubt but it does not scratch no yellow go get it. Buttons need to be better they are very stiff. Feels a little slippery but if you have to get use to it.
If u close bottom part, removal of this case will be almost impossible and huge pain in the a$$
For me personally I prefer open bottom part, cuz it makes swipes easier
I honestly don’t think it would be any more hard to remove than the other clear cases that have a closed bottom. They all fit tight but it’s not that hard to remove.
This is probably the worst mobile phone case I've ever experienced - missing protection on bottom, hard slippery plastic makes it more likely to drop, and overpriced. Steve Jobs will be turning in his grave, he would never have this approved, his simply rule was to start with user experience and then design the product.

I'm looking for a clear case to appreciate this beautiful purple phone, but once you mentioned "slick" I tapped out.
I got this case for $23 and honestly, the bottom no matter the cost NEEDS to be closed. But other than that. I do enjoy the guaranteed no yellowing and it’s resilience to scratches.
It’s actually that bad… This case is so loose and collects lint and particles in just a few hours of use. I can hear the particles popping between the case and the phone while using it. I don’t have this issue with any other of my clear cases. Collecting lint from my pocket, yes. But not bigger particles that are scratching my phone…
Here is why I’m so upset. Because the bottom right and left edges (where u take off the case) are so hard & sharp, you can easily scrape off the phone’s coating. I was taking my time, taking off my purple iPhone 14 Pro’s case, but still left a mark on the phone’s bottom! Yes, being gentle.
For that reason, I bought several closed-bottom, tpu-type cases for my 14 Pro Max. No way will I scrape off the Space Black’s coating. Better to get several Spigen, ESR and Ringke potentially- yellowing cases to use in turn than the dangerous issue with the hard/sharp Apple. Others on reddit mentioned this happening with their 14-series iPhones!
Hello. I saw many branded clear case but still i choose apple clear case for my 13 pro even i dont like the bottom open cut. Maybe because of quality,
I want a clear case but can't really decide. I had the Apple leather case on my 13 Pro, but it loosened up over time and the sides started to crack near the buttons. I am considering this case next, but I think I should wait until your best clear case video.
I regret buying the clear case when the phone came out i like the silicone case way better because the grip and because it can scratch the outside of your phone

That’s the worst case Apple ever made . The open bottom is the worst . The case has a loose fit . It creaks . It’s slippery . I got one “ free” when I bought my 14 pro max … still bought a spigen clear case with the dark gray mag safe ring . Best case ever and half the price !!!
I have both and they both have their own issues. Spigen yellows rather quick and scratchy easily. While the Apple one doesn’t yellow nor shows scratches. But that open bottom is such a major red flag especially for the price. I got the Apple one for the same price as the Spigen one and I continue using the Apple one pretty much for the guaranteed no yellowing. But they SERIOUSLY need to close the bottom up.
I have been using the apple clear case on my iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. The former for over 2 yrs and there is absolutely no yellowing.

I bought it for my iPhone 14 pro max and using it since 15 days approx doesn't seem to be any yellow in it just very difficult to put the phone back inside
Yellowing appears after a year at least, not after 15 days.
I’m guessing that because the sides of the case are hard plastic (which is why it doesn’t yellow) the bottom needs to be open or it would be too rigid and hard to put on and take off.
Had this case. Too slick for me and is the only case I’ve ever had to crack in the corner when it slid off the seat on an airplane. Looked nice though. Replaced it with the Rebel case and am glad I did. Thanks for your reviews!
Same. Had mine slide off the couch onto the floor and one corner of the case cracked.
I think the reason the leave the bottom open is(at least in my experience) when the bottom part is there it sort of gets in the way of the swipe gesture…ever so slightly.
Can’t be out here with the buns out. I don’t like the bottom being open for the price they charge.

I had this case on the 13 pro I loved it the problem is it cracked when I’d drop it got looking dingy in in construction so you would see all the dust and dirt that got in it. Loved it though I should if used it when I was at home

I prefer the open bottom. I wish my leather case was like that. On iPhone 11’s they were (leather was thicker too due to no MagSafe)

The apple transparent case turns yellow within a month of usage. I know every transparent case turns yellow, but you could get an equivalent case for 15-20$. Not worth it!
It cant turn yellow like other clear cases because its made fully of polycarbonate. Other cheap clear cases is often Meade with TPU which does yellow over time from uv rays
My first Apple clear case since my 11 Pro Max, currently on 14 Pro Max and pretty happy with this case
I have this case, do not use it too often but let me tell you this, it is the ONLY case that will scratch your sides. It does it when you take it out or when you put it on. Besides that the case does not yellow or does not scratch easily on the back. It is pretty durable.
Does it scratch the edges of the phone when removing it?

its not bad, but its thick, no protection on the bottom, and its hard to hold - it's so slick. they never yellow though, and the MagSafe connection is great when you're using the battery or wallet.
It’s not thick at all compared to other clear cases out there with this same anti yellowing material.

I just grabbed a $17 dollar clear case from a Kiosk 100 feet from my Apple store. Looks and works the same. Minor yellowing but don't really care.
Apple clear case warrior here. Have had the case since I got my 15 pro max at launch still no yellowing some scratches from edu(everyday use) no cracks either it is definitely a slick case at first but I guess you just get used to it. Have a fine woven case aswell when want to switch it up
The open bottom is what has kept me away from this case but I may buy one. I’m using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case on my 12PM right now and it’s yellowing so I was going to rebuy but I think you’ve convinced me on this😅

I didyneed case but for safety purpose i bought at past i had my Android phone lasted for 4 years with no broken glass cuz i treat my thing like my wife 😂 4 years is no joke

One decent drop and it breaks. These cases suck. The QC is just not there.
I have tons of cases, but i always choose this clear case ... even the magnetic is very weak and sometimes battery MagSafe fall from the back.. but i always prefer this clear case!
And yes this case scratch the sides of the phone once happened with my iphone 13 pro max , it leaves a deep white scratches on the sides and keep in mind once you drop your phone the case shatters from the first hit
People say they can close the bottom of the case but i think apple is smart enough and i believe they tested a bunch of closed bottom cases but the problem those are made from a hard plastic and it become hard to put the phone inside and it will definitely scratch the phone and its hard to remove the phone !!
You should one day try Green Lion Cases they Have bunch of Cases Very strong Magnets , each case have their own style and very affordable price
It makes absolutely 0 sense at all in any way to leave the bottom open. Spend $1000 on phone and $50 on a case to have the phone shatter at that point? Idiotic.

The Apple Clear Case is VERY slippery!
I rocked this case on my iPhone 13 Pro Max - It’s beautiful cause I was able to show off that Sierra Blue - But, and that’s where it pains me to give it a bad review. The bottom being exposed definitely was a flag for me, I rocked it and was surprised how long it lasted and didn’t turn “slimy yellow.” Pause 😂 The buttons and the mute hole weren’t that great, but you get used to it. And then when I dropped my phone, that bottom piece being exposed didn’t not help my case when it landed on that side and there went my screen. Now, I had AppleCare+ so 😤 that was a save. After that, once I got the iPhone 14 Pro Max - As much as I wish to rock the clear case to show off that nice purple and get the attention 😅 That bottom piece is what stopped me. Now, if Apple were to fix that then this is the case I would recommend. That’s the only cons I had with this case, other than that, it’s good. But I agree it’s definitely 50/50 but for that price you can find some good clear cases with the bottom protected and some different color variations.
