To be realistic the Scottish fans didn't go to Germany expecting to win the tournament, they went there to cheer on their team and to party. They're also doing a good job of showing that you can support your national team and respect the opposition at the same time.

The Tartan Army is world renowned as being the best football fans in the world and videos like this just confirm this. Our fans do not go to championships with expectations of winning them they go there to not only support Scotland but to enjoy themselves and in the process entertain the locals.
I see that it was reported that around 200,00 fans were in Munich, approximately 4% of the Scottish population. Not only that but the Tartan Army drank at least one Munich pub dry, if not more.😂
Every time I see the Tartan Army in action they make me so proud to be Scottish.🥰

Those pipes bring out so many emotions, marching into battle to the sound of the bagpipes played by men in kilts must have put the fear of God into any enemy but also the main attraction to get any party going.

Highland Cathedra btw. also became an anthem of cologne years ago by a local Band Bläck Fööss (meaning bare feet in English). They re-wrote the lyrics into the local language kölsch and called it "Du bes die Stadt" (you are the city)

As an aside the Tartan army also raise money for children’s charities in whatever country they visit, usually hand over £5000
I was in Munich, it was incredible. we were so well treated, and the German people fell in love with the Tartan Army. We mixed together before, during and after the game. It was a wonderful 5 day long party. We can through as one of the best 3rd place teams, as long as we beat Hungary tomorrow.
Its my dream that both the Dutch and my beloved Scotland qualify and meet each other The party would be epic I just pray whichever city hosts it can get enough drink in 🎉
