Stagecoach Bus Takes Wrong Turn into Tiverton Pannier Market

- It’s something which happens to the best of us, but when the Stagecoach number 55 took a wrong turn into Tiverton Pannier Market it turned a few heads.
The double decker found itself with a small audience as the driver tried to manipulate his way around the tight car park, trying to get back on route squeezing alongside the Youth Drop in Centre.
Thankfully he was able to do so with no real damage done before getting back on the right track.
Oh bless him. I’m a bus driver as well, I’ve only taken one wrong turn but fortunately it was easily corrected. Hope he’s doing okay
About 18yrs ago I took a wrong turn onto the A75 while driving an old manual coach. I ended up miles from where I was meant to be with some very irate passengers who were no help at all! It was dark, pissing down & I didn't know the area at all...

I'm a bus driver and I've done this before (taken a wrong turn). It's so embarrassing - you feel like a right numpty :-)
Easy mistake to make.
I’ve done it four times at the same place, there’s a disabled lad who waits at the bus stop chats to you and i always chat to him then drive off missing my right turn lol it’s not the end of the world but it’s funny looking in my mirrors and my passengers are like wtf 😂

I did this when i was with a mentor route training, everyone on the bus cheered and clapped when i got back on track lol

Normally the Passengers are the first to tell you that you have taken the wrong turn.
Yep i've done it too in service driving a decker, i was busy staring at the speed camera van that caught me in my car a couple years previously in the same place. Bit of PTSD on that same stretch of road now.
The amount of passengers I had screaming at me because I missed their stop is unbelievable even though they never used a bell either its so annoying
I’ve driven a 26 ton rigid around a packed Tesco carpark before and the rear steer wasn’t working. The relief you feel getting out is greater than the embarrassment of driving in I’ve also been driver’s mate in a tour around a Sainsbury’s carpark. Driven down narrow roads and had to reverse back blind and walked a palletised bathroom 1 1/2 miles on a pump truck to deliver to a customer. These things happen, as long as no damage caused and no one hurt it’s only a matter of time and the importance of time is way overrated.

Easy done, I've done it a few times myself in lorries and buses..shit happens 🤷
One time, I was on a No.2 bus and it took the wrong turn. I told the driver and he/she understood. It was in Northampton, near Leyside Court. Well, he/she must have thought it was a No.1 bus instead of a No.2.
Thats an easy mistake to make if there were doing 1's all day then switched to 2's
Bus drivers are smart though, there’s a narrow turn that buses have to go by in my town and they do it easily!

When I was a London bus driver, I took a wrong turn twice on two different routes. I can tell you it's very embarrassing and stressful
If it was someone else they would probably stand there and laugh, not bothering to help.

@@farmingnerd1542 Specifically 18135. The reg is barely visible but it is, it reads KN04 XJK. The fleet number is also visible for a few seconds

I wiped a mirror off from another bus on my Enviro 200 yesterday, passed the PCV on monday too shit just happens I guess
From one driver to another, it happens mate. I seem to remember my driving instructor saying that the first 6 months to a year are when you’re most likely to have accidents. You’ll get there buddy :)
let's hope his boss don't see it .. end of the day it's someone is job .
His boss would not be too fussed the driver just messed up his route he didn't do anything dangerous and still acted professional. Guys in control probably had a good laugh at him for awhile and thats it.
