Nah. All alcoholic drinks should be "sniffed". That's the part of drinking “culture”. We, Polish people, are just victims of influence of soviet savagery.
They basically drank tasteless ethanol with water, just to get hammered, forgot about their own misery and also because they didn’t have money or technology to produce more complicated beverages.
While everyone else was drinking to enjoy their time together and only get really drunk at the end of that meeting/party/event.
So saying _”You don’t smell the vodka.”_ is just stupid acknowledging sad fact of communists destroying our pre-war alcohol industry and drinking culture.
1. Alkohol should be frozen or at least good cooled
2. Most if them are for drinks not shots - Bison with Apple juice is delicious
Or cranberry juice! That shit is lit
I doubt you are from Poland.. Most People drink Zubrowka and krupnik as a shot. People will laugh at you if your at a wedding or festivity and your pouring Apple juice with Zubrowka..
@@kh4670 Ok, but you are talking about Żubrówka and Krupnik (czysta - clean or biała -white) vodka wich is mostly the main alkohol on polish weddings. And its normal you drink it with "popita" i.e. something to drink after the shot like juice or cola. Żubrówka z trawą ( żubrówka with bison grass) on the film is the best with apple juice and sometimes with cucumber in drink (but its my opinion). And last but not least like my pre speaker said the best vodka is cold vodka.

We, Poles have got the very special alcohol called "made in the light of the moon" (księżycówka). It means made from two kilo of sugar, one kilo of wild pears and five liters of boiled water. At first, mix smashed pears with sugar and then cover them with water. Ad wait when this liquid will be ripe. It means - yeast turns sugar into alcohol. Then you need a special machine: the tightly covered pot with a pipe installed. Inside you can slowly cook (not allowing to boil - circa 60 to 80 °C). Alkohol will evaporate first in temerature 78,37 °C. And the pipe instaled in pot must be connected to a "cooler" - a rolled pipe (glass, copper or stainless steel). That's because the alcohol vapors must condense somewhere. So, this pipe must be immersed horizontally in cool water. Finally, a clarifier (a special container where bad ingredients will separate from alcohol) will be useful. Or two. When the mash reaches over 80, just set the flame so that the drip speed is constant. It is worth tasting alcohol with your finger and checking its strength. And voila! Alcohol is ready! BUT! In its pure state it can kill. Therefore, it should be diluted. And taste it.

I am from Poland and I can tell you something - Żywiec is cheap, but pretty good beer, Żubrówka is strange vodka, because you love it, or you hate it (I hate :D), Lubelska is drinked mostly by people addicted of alcohol, because its taste isn't so good, but you can feel % clearly xd About honey vodka Krupnik I can't tell you much, because no one of my friends drinks it, I haven't tried it yet. That's all, just short explanation :)
Żywiec is cheap - indeed - but I wouldn't call it pretty good beer. In fact, it's not even a good beer. Żywiec is international lager or - as you like to call it this way - eurolager. What does it mean? It means it should taste like water with a little taste of alcohol. You even can't smell any hops in it because there's a little of them - the only aroma Żywiec got is malt and alcohol. Don't get me wrong - I don't think lager is something bad even if I prefer styles like India Pale Ale or Stout. Yesterday I tried to drink Perfect Lager from Doctor Brew and it's pretty good lager - you can smell hops, taste is much more than water with alcohol. I prefer spending more money (it costs 5-7 zł) to drink one amazing beer like this than buy 4 weak beers for the same money.
So... If you would like to taste some beers, you could buy Żywiec. If you would like to taste some good beer, you should drink something brewed by Doctor Brew, Pinta, Artezan, AleBrowar, Raduga or Inne Beczki. It's more expensive but worth it!
Tomasz Kurek I meant that Żywiec is pretty good as so cheap beer, we can't compare it to more expensive ones for sure :D
I can't agree more with you Tomasz. I've always preffered to buy more expensive beer, than the cheap piss. Taste over price for me!
***** But he told it, so why you can't agree? :D
Please, read my comment closely.
If you still not going to understand what I meant, then simply tell me. I will translate it to polish for you, M8 :D
Cheers!
guys: the selection was kind of weird: 1) beer: very very ordinary, which indeed can be served but Poles have changed in recent years to some new tastes (even the ones produced by large beer manufacturers) and craft beers: there you could find a lot of interesting stuff, 2) lubelska wisniowka: i dont know anyboby but homeless people who could drink it, sorry 3) krupnik: ok!, 4) zubrowka: i personally hate it and i imagine it's something for tourists (never saw it on weddings, other parties of this sort etc); what definietly should be tested: craft beer, (or at least some non obvious sorts of say Okocim), typical vodkas like wyborowa, vodka żołądkowa gorzka (at least a classical type)

Polish Vodka is God Tier. The way they spell and pronounce things is beyond me. But I'll be damned if they don't make good alcohol.
you disappoint me irish. I thought you could keep your alcohol well
Have you ever drank Irish whiskey and then compared it to Scottish whisky? They can handle their drinks, I'll give them that, but their alcohol tastes like cheap shite.
well im canadian but my grandpa was from ireland and my grandmas side is from quebec but france before that and i can drink like a fish......except beer. but i down 26ers of whiskey like theyre nothin aka a fifth or 750ml bottles. beer just gets me a different kinda drunk.
also irish shite doesnt taste like cheap shite. try guinness. you wanna try cheap shite im sorry to say try some canadian whiskeys we make some good ones but 90% of them these days are shite, similar to bourbon style whiskeys with blended grains but our government fucked up and let them make shit disgusting, you can distill each grain separate and they can be made like neutral grain spirit instead of whiskey and up to 9% additives that isnt alcohol or water just color and flavor. now good blended whiskey exists thats easy to see, and good canadian whiskey as well.
sorry but you probably tries something bad. and also vodka is absolutely disgusting so i dont blame them. shits only good mixed in orange juice for getting smashed. or in a screaming blue motherfucker with a shit load of other alcohols.
High-end Wiser's (Legacy, 18yr) High-end Gibson's, Pike Creek, Alberta Springs 10yr (straight rye), Forty Creek Confederation Oak or Double Barrel Reserve, Lot 40, Whistle Pig and Mastersons (Both barreled in the US, but the actual whiskey is distilled in Alberta), Gooderham & Worts, Stalk & Barrel, Caribou Crossing.
you idiot, Scottish whisky is Irish. It originated with Irish settlers in Scotland.
You shouldn't call people idiots when you have no idea what you're talking about. The first records of uisge beatha being made dates back to 15th century Scottish monks. There are no historical records beyond that. Maybe read up a little before talking out your ass.
I see I need to explain a bit about Żubrówka :D. Actually "żubrówka" or "turówka wonna" is a grass (Hierochloë odorata). It has a very specific scent thanks to coumarin. Sometimes you can feel it when you're on a field (a bit marshy field) and grass is freshly cut. A blade of that grass is put inside bottle with 40% rye vodka. So the coumarin goes into the liquid giving it unique flavor. Many people in Poland made a drink: appel juice + Żubrówka. This drink is called "Byk w sadzie" (Bull in the orchard).
After adding a cinnamon to this drink it turns into a "szarlotka" (an apple pie) and taste like... an apple pie? :)
I think it's just fine on its own, especially properly chilled. It has an almost coconut-like aftertaste that's very refreshing. A good after-dinner drink without being too sweet or overbearing.

Pablo1517 Ah, my mistake. I remember having it in Poland and a lot of the Polish stores near me sell it. Thanks for informing me though.
In fact most stores sells that, but it's rarely drank by people. I know that some metalheads used it when they wanted to drink on Metalmania where it was disallowed (since 2004 I guess). It's more efficient to smuggle bottle of pure alcohol and then add water. I might be wrong, but I think that some people here drink it to hide their habit. You can drink 200 ml in no time and it's like 500 ml of vodka, so... I drank it once and no difference between it and vodka. Both caused "omg omg omg". And of course it's used for making own liquors etc.

Wow, I laughed so hard tears went flying all over the room when I saw their reaction on Zubrówka! xD First time I tried it, I didn't even blink... but I am 50% Polish, so that might be why - but I actually thought Irishmen could handle strong liquor? ;)
+skrivbok Your comment does not make any sense. The bigger dude is fully polish. 🤔
I have the one with a grass stem inside the bottle. I would recommend this when you are having a greasy & meaty dinner.
spiritus with water best drink.
bimber with szklanka is better.
don't forget the gwóźdź!
That's a real mans drink. SALUTE AND DRINK UP!

I almost pissed my pants at that guys reaction to the girl dropping her shot glass 😂😂😂😂
I love this two guys, they are so possitive
the bison grass żubrówka is actually the 'easy mode'
Don't behave like children! It's all good, when it's chilled in a fridge :D
Jeśli chodzi o "czyścioszkę" i żubrówkę to przyznam rację. Natomiast osobiście Wiśniówkę lub Krupnik preferuję w temperaturze pokojowej. Na zdrowie!
Really? What about "Pan Tadeusz" vodka...? one of the top-shelf Polish vodkas...
Buson Grass vodka you don't drink neat - you mix it with apple juice.
kilbil1997 Iy tastes like alcoholic apple pie, I'll take that I've looking like a tough guy.
To be honest, they tried ones of the worst polish alcohols...We have a lot of better choices from beers and vodka.
when they say that Żubrówka Bison Grass is strong, and it feels like fire and you just sit there quietly, questioning your life because it's the most mild and tasty vodka you've ever drunk
Facts is 100 times better than Buzzfeed
Irish person: Are you scared?
Me: well like any sane man im afraid of death soo... yeah!
"I've a feeling if I knocked this back it would go straight through my throat and melt the wall behind me." LOL Now that's a drink.
"I honestly feel like I've drank a buffalo's ass." "And you liked it" So funny. Donal is adorable.
I jsut realized this isn't buzzfeed
Buzzfeed wishes it was this!
Zubrowka needs to be kept in a freezer overnight. It becomes kind of like a liquid gel and then it tastes the properly good. Ad cold apple juice to flavor.
you've chosen the worst alcohol we have in Poland, why?
Jan Kowalski To save money? I don't know XD
Because they want strong reactions and also probably because they don't know any better.
Idk lol
And they have chosen the fakest gayest Irish people to try it
Pfft, kruptnikas is awesome. Like a cheap bärenjäger ;)
ktos kiedys mowil ze irish people drinks a lot ? bullshit.
W czasie present simple s/es do czasownika dodaje tylko przy 3 osobie liczby pojedynczej (on, ona, to) a Irish people to oni (3 os.lm.).
czyli jak powinno wygladac to zdanie prawidlowo?
"Irish people drink a lot". People to liczba mnoga, więc nie dodaje się s/es.
dzięki
