10 tips for the people watching, both old and new players to the series. Won't really need too many since the game mechanics are almost 90% exactly like the first one. Mostly they upgraded a few things and added some cool mechanics. (Camping gear for example) 1. Camping gear is reusable. There is a very low chance that you lose your gear in a raid UNLESS you are using the weakest one which tells you that it's easy to break. 2. Carry plenty of Lantern oil with you, because losing light halfway through the night is downright killer. 3. Search for the Gold Beetles RELIGIOUSLY... They give you permanent increase to carry weight. 4. The Statues are markers that point you towards a point of interest. Just look at where the head is looking and 9/10 times you will see what it's pointing at. 5. When a pawn tells you that they know about something near the area youre in, press "UP" on your D-pad to respond to them and they will lead you to the item/location. 6. MAX out every vocation you have, Once you unlock the Auguments for a vocation they are unlocked permanently for all of them to use. 7. To unlock the other vocations, you have to do quest or find NPC's that unlock them for you. 8. Maxing out a vocation doesn't mean you have all the skills. There are NPC's that will train your character on skills for each vocation. 9. The symbols on your inventory (Heart, blue hand, hand 1, hand 2, box) tell you how many of an item you have and who is holding it. Those same symbols on your Quest page tell you which pawn can help you with your quest (If any of them have the knowledge). 10. Pay attention to the wording of the quest you receive. Some of them are time based and you will fail them if you take too long. 11. Wolves travel in packs Arisen. IMPORTANT: There isn't a single item in this game that is exclusive to the Online store. you can farm/buy every item pretty easily in the game itself. (I know this because I checked it myself. I have found every single one of them in-game and I'm only lvl 26)

This is my favorite game rn, I’m almost level 60 and the only nitpick I have is that there isn’t any more variation in armor after you beat the game, not many unique sets or super powerful elemental weapons outside of a few options. I will say the unique skills are really cool, and who knows, maybe it all hasn’t been discovered yet even.
This game becomes addicting to play really quickly. So far so good. A little bit of fps problems but nothing that makes it unplayable. The game never gets boring or mundane and always seems to flow so well for an open world game. That is impressive to me because so many open world games get repetitive and redundant after playing for a short amount of time.
I agree. The emergent and dynamic gameplay makes it so fun. I always happen upon different crazy moments I've never seen in other games. The performance issues seem so hyperbolic at times. It appears mostly there are only slight hitches in cities yet people act like it's broken. I wish people would stop having impossibly high standards sometimes.
2:12:30 Random senario option, mount Griffyn follow to nest then calmly sneak out and you might have traveled to your destination? This must be a legit thing that can happen in some random way xD
5:46 So, if this is a game that you can find in a PC cafe in Japan or SK, you're going to find people who will buy things that help them get ahead because they are time limited. It's the same reason why games like Lost Ark have so many microtransactions that help people get up to speed. Not defending microtransactions, but I am just explaining one of the reasons why they are common in Asian games (according to a Korean player).
plus there just IS a difference between the mtx in this game, and the ones that would bother me - like paid mounts, armors, p2w weapons, exclusives that are way cooler than what you get in game. the mtx in DD2 are so minimal they do not matter at all! All of the items can easily be gotten early on in game, by playing normally. NOTHING is locked. People are overreacting so badly.
This game made me learn to MIND MY OWN BUSINESS real quick. I got involved in a quest... And a choice I made during it just got everyone involved killed off screen. Keeping it vague so someone else can experience the horror I just did.

This guy is such a weird little creature. Spends 8 hours complaining that the game is easy, dies to a dragon 6 times. And starts to cry, blaming the game for bad mechanics. Because he has to use camp or potions to heal and could not one-shot a boss.
He also keeps getting his weapon imbued with fire boon. Drakes tend to be pretty resistant to fire damage. With the way dd1 damage percentage works. Effective elemental weaknesses range from 20%-100% increased damage per hit. So yes, using the right elements are more than required.
he makes it hard for himself because he doesn't have potions nor much food though cause he thought it was useless since mcconell is there to heal him but the REAL REASON why you need potions or food is to heal through his CURRENT HP LIMIT which cant be healed by mcconnell. you dont need rest/camp to restore your HP LIMIT to the MAX HP LIMIT (this is also in DD1 which he already beaten btw....). another reason why he is so slow is that his fking weight is literally in HEAVY/almost overcumberance so not only slow but also uses alot of stamina per run/skill. this can be easily solved by transfering his stuff to his pawns. so all of his problems are technically skill issue.
Personally, I’ve been really enjoying it. I play on PS5, and I haven’t noticed any issue with towns and lag and all that. I loved Dragon’s Dogma, I hoped this would be better, and it has been. The DLC also doesn’t effect my experience, enjoyment or any of that. But I will say, the Health reduction per dying IS a bad thing that doesn’t make sense.
Yea I really think they should limit the loss gauge to 50% of your max health. Losing max HP on every hit is just freaking annoying. The concept itself is fine just needs tuning
The game's fucking great when it works and it reminds me of the old Gothic games in its immersion and design. It also kills me that the stupid hivemind has guided the conversation to the stupid, trivial MTX when Capcom should have been raked over the coals for the inexcusable performance on PC's.
The MTX doesn't bother me personally. I am playing the game and have so many of the MTX items I've earned by simply playing the game. I haven't even used any of them aside from camps. If I didn't know they were in the game and you told me, I would never have guessed because of how pointless buying those items are due to how easily you can earn them. People say I should care because it will encourage devs to go further with future MTXs, to which I say I still don't care because I just won't buy that future game. Really, it's just that simple, if you like a game buy and have fun. This "I will never buy X game because of Y practice" is your philosophy, don't behold everyone else to it. It's your problem, not theirs
I love playing the game to a certain point then watch you or some other people play to see how you went about things. Love rhe different options you have to complete quests or hiw some quest change others depending on if you do them first.
Watching the drake fight is so tilting when he says there's nothing he can do. Every class has a defensive ability and he just ignores it. He says the game doesn't challenge him enough to use all his resources, never reads anything, tries to speedrun everything, then complains when the challenge arrives and blames the game...
he also ignored the fact that you're sort of meant to use your heal items from the inventory and not just rely on magic heals, plus you can still heal yourself if you reach 0 if you are quick enough, AND wakestones heal you fully - if you actually made any effort to collect some
I've been watching him play this game every night I have trouble sleeping. Not because it's boring or anything but because the nature of the game play is calming to me and reminds me of games my dad used to play in my bedroom while he waited for me to fall asleep at night. So I'm really enjoying this
First 5 minutes of part 1 “use lantern? We don’t use lanterns here.” 30 minutes into part 2 “I can’t see a thing, wish there was something that could coil light the area up”……
If a game support mouse and keyboard, it doesn't mean you should use it. Controller is required in this game. The weight and the 360 degrees locomotion don't work for binary, on/off inputs.
The outfit that cost 155000$, are literally all over the town for free, you jst have to go look around. I literally got like 4 of them each both top and bottom😂
RPGs in the future :'' you have hundreds of customizable optrions in character creation....and Asmon of course'' the only problem i have with this gameplay is i feel like the stamina, knock downs, running are all terrible and a real dude would be better like a real dude would have more breath when running, a real dude would get up faster once knocked down and stuff like that
To bad it was capcom that made this game. I am still waiting for the next level Skyrim killer with full modding support. Capcom would get pissy if someone even used a color changing mod.
it kind of is that, but i don’t know if that’s a bad thing or not. dd1 felt very much unfinished and this feels like what they wanted the final product to be
I bought it on console even though I have a 5800x3D and a 4070 because I refuse to pay for Denuvo. That DRM makes your singleplayer game online-only AND kills performance. No one should ever defend or support it. At least on console I can play offline.

The way Asmonds character runs sends me every time .
Camp sites don't get used up unless they are broken. So 1 can be used over and over again.

Didn't see the create a character part. First 5 seconds solved that!
I love that you can be on fire for 3 mins, get shot with arrows, and stabbed 20 times and survive, only to die to fall damage from 15 ft high
then you haven't played elden ring mate
shit screams witcher 3 lmao
What does it have to do with elden ring? Or are you talking about fingerprint shield build? Otherwise you are making zero sense here@@sebbepvp1207
to be fair you can't get shot with arrows, stabbed, or be on fire and survive without getting healed
@@joeyshirey9232 I feel the same way. I feel like people just love to jump on the criticism bandwagon even when it’s not justified.
Yo when the pawns tell you they can lead you some where press the "Go" command and they will lead you to it

2:12:30 Random senario option, mount Griffyn follow to nest then calmly sneak out and you might have traveled to your destination? This must be a legit thing that can happen in some random way xD
Its better than rise of ronin for sure.
Rise of the ronin is really fun though, and they are completely different games.
How come/how so?
And you felt the need to say that just because?💀💀
It is even better than horizon and horizon runs godlike on pc. But core gameplay is king.
@6989uwuThe game is shit tho dd2 is way better.
When a pawn asks to guide you to something or says they have a skill that might help, you have to give them the "Go" instruction for them to do it.
Asmongold be playing game like it's Skyrim... Road is not an option, you have to go by every caves and jumping off cliff to get to your destination 😂

This guy is such a weird little creature. Spends 8 hours complaining that the game is easy, dies to a dragon 6 times. And starts to cry, blaming the game for bad mechanics. Because he has to use camp or potions to heal and could not one-shot a boss.
He's a literal 30 year old man-child
really? 😂
@@madtech5153 also, he not using golden bugs...
you have to love the Asmon. I watched him buy a lantern and yet... still refuses to use it.

You have a window if you wait a hair too long you can’t use anything
Personally, I’ve been really enjoying it. I play on PS5, and I haven’t noticed any issue with towns and lag and all that.
I loved Dragon’s Dogma, I hoped this would be better, and it has been. The DLC also doesn’t effect my experience, enjoyment or any of that. But I will say, the Health reduction per dying IS a bad thing that doesn’t make sense.
Yea I really think they should limit the loss gauge to 50% of your max health. Losing max HP on every hit is just freaking annoying. The concept itself is fine just needs tuning
Lol, scrawniest warrior we've ever seen... love it.
I still remember my first drake kill in dark arisen. I was just walking around and I got dragonforged equipment. Very "epic" 😂
The game's fucking great when it works and it reminds me of the old Gothic games in its immersion and design.
It also kills me that the stupid hivemind has guided the conversation to the stupid, trivial MTX when Capcom should have been raked over the coals for the inexcusable performance on PC's.
Agreed! Its hard to be mad about the MTX when I can't even play the game.
Yeah the convo is dominated by lies and misinfo lol. Let the real issues be talked about
The MTX doesn't bother me personally. It's your problem, not theirs
literally this, its such a frustrating sight
@@yaqubebased1961 what are those "lies" and "misinfo" though?
This game is going to be another Cyberpunk. It will reach its true popularity 2 years down the line.
Its nowhere near as bad as Cyberpunk at launch lol. DD2 is playable.
Yeah it's not being pulled from stores based on performance. Never seen that with a game before
Maaan ur character looks so much like you, nailed it 😂
I love playing the game to a certain point then watch you or some other people play to see how you went about things. Love rhe different options you have to complete quests or hiw some quest change others depending on if you do them first.
Watching the drake fight is so tilting when he says there's nothing he can do. Every class has a defensive ability and he just ignores it. He says the game doesn't challenge him enough to use all his resources, never reads anything, tries to speedrun everything, then complains when the challenge arrives and blames the game...
he also ignored the fact that you're sort of meant to use your heal items from the inventory and not just rely on magic heals, plus you can still heal yourself if you reach 0 if you are quick enough, AND wakestones heal you fully - if you actually made any effort to collect some
You and Synthetic Man are the two channels I know of treating this game fairly.
First thing I noticed was Ardent Will. I'm gonna be playing so good tonight lol
I've been watching him play this game every night I have trouble sleeping. Not because it's boring or anything but because the nature of the game play is calming to me and reminds me of games my dad used to play in my bedroom while he waited for me to fall asleep at night. So I'm really enjoying this
I has no idea Harve village had a good ending to its quest with ulrika till my second play through. This game is so awesome.

First 5 minutes of part 1 “use lantern? We don’t use lanterns here.”
30 minutes into part 2 “I can’t see a thing, wish there was something that could coil light the area up”……
If a game support mouse and keyboard, it doesn't mean you should use it. Controller is required in this game. The weight and the 360 degrees locomotion don't work for binary, on/off inputs.

Good sir, the things you keep on storing will help you a great deal in battle, but play as you will and let the frustration sink in.
I bought it on console even though I have a 5800x3D and a 4070 because I refuse to pay for Denuvo. That DRM makes your singleplayer game online-only AND kills performance. No one should ever defend or support it. At least on console I can play offline.
