    How is it not a lizard? Their ancestors certainly were. If any squamatan could be considered a non-lizard, it would be Dibamidae, but I still think they would have lizardy ancestors.

      Some folks do consider them lizards yes! However due to their annuli, they’re not technically “true” lizards. Additionally, their skeletons are unlike lizards or legless lizards- as well as their method of locomotion. It’s mostly up to how stingy you are with the definition of “lizard”!
