    These guys physiques are so good, this could have just as easily been a bodybuilding contest as a wrestling match. I miss guys like this in wrestling.

    The wrestler being overhead pressed is supposed to help the presser by pushing up and extending his arms. Tony pressed Orndorff over his head with no help from Orndorff.

      Yeah but I bet you he was more athletic than your dad bod azz would ever be lol. His build was impressive especially for that era and his height. He was 6'3 290 shredded with a small waist, who needs legs with a physique like that REALLY? Women aren't looking for thunder thighs anyway.

      @@JamesStreet-tp1vb I literally wrote FACTS in that comment. I've never heard a woman saying bigger legs would be hot on a guy built like that.

    Tony Atlas was actually PAID to not show up to MSG for WM1. Vince was done with him and Tony was so popular with the fans there that Vinny Mac couldn't risk it.

      I can see Vince doing that.

    • @suicidality2744
      @suicidality2744 Рік тому +2

      I doubt that was true. Atlas was probably in the building on standby duty. The WWF/E would always have about a dozen guys on standby for the PPVs in case guys no showed or were injured. And yes, they did get a nice payoff just for being there.

    • @mjsheets5936
      @mjsheets5936 Рік тому +1

      It was because they didn't want to risk Atlas press slamming King Kong Bundy again. He did it once at a house show and Vince was worried he would do it at WrestleMania. That were hyping Bundy up for Hogan at that time and didn't want someone else pressing him and getting over on him. So they paid Atlas cash to leave the arena and replaced him with SD Jones.

    • @DixiePokerAce
      @DixiePokerAce 7 місяців тому

      @mjsheets5936 LOL, funny story but obviously not true. Atlas was a legit bodybuilder and really strong but nobody was pressing King Kong Bundy over their head. It wasn't happening. Atlas had substance abuse issues which made him very unreliable. Vince probably was tired of dealing with him. Vince wanted Bundy over in a hurry and SD did the job.

    Same night as the Hogan vs. Piper match. What a card that night. Tony Atlas was absolutely jacked. Wonder why he didn't get a much bigger push, hmmmm!

    • @Rondondemarco

      Vince McMahon Jr hated him plus the drugs didn't help him much. He was definitely extraordinarily built. His genetics for muscle was top tier. It's rare that a man his height has that type of muscle mass with feathers and fullness. His legs were his only weakness.

    • @DixiePokerAce
      @DixiePokerAce 7 місяців тому

      Tony was not a good in ring guy and he had major substance abuse problems that made him very unreliable. Even his long time tag team partner, Rocky Johnson, talked about that. Tony definitely had a great physique. No doubt he had quite an upper body.
