"𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲" is a song written by Kimberley Rew for British rock band Katrina and the Waves' 1983 eponymous debut full-length album. The rerecorded version was at first released on the band's 1985 self-titled album as the album's second single and reached No. 4 in Australia, No. 9 in the United States and No. 8 in the United Kingdom. It was the Waves' first American top 40 hit, and their biggest success in the UK until "Love Shine a Light" (1997).

I unapologetically love the original version of this song, and this version, with those charming accents, is almost as good. You're too hard-hearted if you aren't bopping along by the end.
Sadly this song is forever tied, in my head, to a single movie scene from "Look Who's Talking". So all I picture when I hear the song are dancing stuffed animals.

What the hell is this wonderful, WONDERFUL band?!?!!??? I’m gobsmacked.
A little info for you-BP are from Vigo, Galicia region, Spain, and have been performing as a band since 2009, with the current lineup in place since 2017. They've been known mostly as a rock and soul cover band with an annual Halloween special done in the undead makeup and costumes. They have now also released four singles of their own material from their upcoming album. Lara Rodriguez Perez (second from right) is the band founder and boss. Wonderful group of people and very interactive with fans here and also on Instagram.

Love an up-beat song, especially with Broken peach.
Pues yo entiendo que el dance es relevante para tener impacto y hay que hacerlo y todo eso, pero personalmente, cuando se ubican en el rock pop y se centran en la música es cuando la banda brilla de verdad, las voces pegan de frente y con todo entusiasmo. Y no sólo en los covers, claro, que éste lo borda como en todas las sesiones arcoiris, pero cosas como "Like a Gale" son una maravilla.
