Maharishi comes from the root "Rishi" (Seer or Saint) & "Maha" (great). A great seer or a great Saint. The Composition of the 3 Words "Hurdy Gurdy man" are Donovans creative expressions to simply sing what Maharishi is: A Man to whom everyone should listen & take advise!
