If you have a horse, you don't really need to go to Ivarstead to go up the thousand steps. Most to all of the quests are next to cities or NPC fast travel spots. The best run I've ever had was where I spent the larger part of 40 hours just grinding out skills (I had never beaten the game before this point). Travelling around the world, exploring, fighting extremely tough enemies, learning shouts and spells and enchantments. Etc etc, just getting the best outfit I could. With the main quest on the side, at this point, it really started to feel like I was helping skyrim. I had defeated tens of dragons, remade the thieves guild into what it was, became a master assassin in the dark brotherhood, I was on my way to becoming one of the companions.
So at this point, when everyone said "oh the dragonborn!" I really felt it.
The final moments come around, I have to fight through hundreds of draugr and their impossibly strong masters.
I am summoning daedrea, beasts and elementals alike, Lydia is fighting for her life as we tear through the tombs of ancient masters.
We finally make it to the portal and I am reuinited with my bretheren. We walk onto the forest and clean the fog as Alduin, the master of dragons, descends from the sky.
I ready my blade an shield, everything has led to this point. Take every potion that money could buy and cast every spell in my book.
    I charge.
20 seconds later it's over and he's dead on the ground and I didn't take a single hit.......
No legendary weapon, no loot, nothing but a pat on the back.
    Welp, quicksave time...

Problem is the game feels empty after completing the main quests..you really dont want to explore same caves same dungeons or w.e.. @@jaakezzz_G the thieves guild's main principals was to steal from the rich and give to poor, in skyrim they were going through a rough time, no thanks to mercer fey, so they were having to serve under the black-brairs, and steal whatever they could, their principals are noble, but they either had to steal from the poor and avoid the rich, or give up then and there.
the dark brotherhood just servers a purpose that needs fulfilled, if the brotherhood didn't do it, they would be replaced. they're kinda like tax collectors, no one likes them, but their job is necessary to keep the world turning. for the companions though, its more of a curse for them, and if you do join the companions you can cleanse them all and take on the burden of being a werewolf so no one else has to.

Vanilla Skyrim even without any mods still stands the test of time as arguably the best RPG game ever. The first time I played through I didn’t know much of the lore yet it was still the best game I had ever played. If you do go down the amazing rabbit hole that is the Elder Scrolls’ drawn out lore, then the campaign really is that much better! So many events and characters from previous Elder Scrolls are linked to Skyrim and when you understand them it’s truly mind blowing and unmatched. Highly recommend it👍

Saw a similar comment, but playing through Skyrim for the first time on switch. I always knew bits and generic stuff from the game growing up but now actually playing it… and I’ve been addicted and can’t stop lol. My UA-cam feed is only Skyrim videos and I am squeezing every ounce of content this game has to offer and absolutely loving it

This is so good! Amazing work. Pertinax and memes go together like peas and carrots.

When the Forrest character build is so chad, he doesn’t need to lift a finger to slay Alduin

Honestly, running in oblivion makes the main quest so much longer.

I didn't know about fast travel till after I passed through Skingrad and was at Anvil, maybe even further lol

@@johnmanzuki8979 Oh man. Even with being able to fast travel, you have to walk (cuz running really isn't a thing until late game) to undiscovered locations that are wayyy out in the middle of nowhere. Not fast traveling must of be rough.

If your saying in comparison to skyrims main quest all I have to say is level up athletics and feather enchantments.

@@r.w.9631 I always preferred the combat enchantments like shield. But yes increasing athletics and speed comes into play later in the game when its higher.

Everytime I finish the main quest, I always like to go back home, put my armor and weapons away except for a dagger, put on some casual clothes and pretend to be a retired warrior living in my Lakeview manor home, until I take up my arms again to start the dlc.

Love this video simple, and well made!
Forest Gump just fits the dragonborn well, clueless, little on his mind to share.

@@sygueurdessine3613 lol you should. Its the first thing I did. You can complete the main quest in 5 hours honestly. If you only do the main quest ofc. It's actuslly pretty quick and not too bad.

Funny thing. I didn't know how to sprint or fast travel, so i ended up jogging everywhere. I also started using carriages after like 6 hours of gameplay, when i realised that they where an option.

This is brilliant because it's exactly how I feel and imagine the dragon born feeling after finishing the final fight, just like needing to take a deep breathe and sigh of relief and I usually just go back to my house and hang around the wife and read some books and just take in the chill atmosphere of the home and do some decorating and chores for a change before going out again lol.
