Well I’m just watching all these video’s because I start my journey becoming either an accountant/finance analyst in the spring next semester 😄 Still deciding, but I appreciate these videos they help. Much more intriguing watching a cute girl talk about this stuff than a boring older male lmao

@@kailakaila No thank you Kaila. :-) I am base in Melbourne Victoria Australia, been a Corporate FP&A for 5-6 years now. I am looking at potentially to transit to a high-finance roles, unlike in the US, Australia has far smaller capital market and less activities in M&A and LBO as well. Most high finance roles I have seen are with Superfunds (similar to US 401K) botique investment firms. Though it is reported that high finance is on the rise in Australia. I am also pretty with BI type of roles. I have self taught BI related advanced programming skills to be able to work or at least understand lot of back-end reports. :-) Would be keen to meet you one day.
Sounds like you are getting great experience and staying up to date with skills. I think if the right opportunity popped up you would be able to transfer to the US.
@@kailakaila thanks Kaila. Many years ago, I nearly moved to US with a US woman I was seeing at the time. But I wasn’t quite ready to leave Australia and family here. I think I wouldn’t mind to spend more time in the US for business/career opportunities but Australia is still my base. Life here is a lot more manageable here. You been?

I am thinking to study Finance but I heard that most of the jobs are sales-oriented, which i don’t really like.

There are a wide range of finance jobs, not all are customer/client facing. But I have found you are always selling yourself and your skills in every job out there, to some extent. I see your username has "Engineer" in it, if you can code and you are super introverted, you might be better off in a quant type role or back office role.
