Wreck was a lot like one Dale Jr. had in Nascar a couple years ago. clipped the grass there and went straight into the wall. Same spot. Only difference was he didn't take several others with him.
Sato made a classic mistake. Pinched on the doglegs, he dipped in the grass and it caused him to lose it. Indycars are quite easy to mess up in those conditions.
I knew it was going to happen when Sato hit the grass. Dixon has the worst luck on speedways. Max Chilton almost had a spin of his own before all of this.
My buddy and I were watching the Canadian GP and Alonso's radio comment came across with "these guys need to calm down". I told my buddy how indycar drivers were all seasoned guys that wouldn't act like these children in F1. Then, we watched this race afterwards... I think we've reached the point where the cars are so safe that guys are just throwing caution (and race craft)to the wind. This race was absurd.
Sato always crashes in situations like this. And the more risks he takes the bolder he gets. I knew as soon as he made that incredible outside pass stick that he was going to just keep doing stuff like that until he crashed. He took Dixon out and ruined the end of the race. If Catroneves had gotten close enough to him at Indy to make a move, I'm sure Sato would have caused a massive crash there too. I like guys that drive with no fear but there's having courage and then there's being a moron and Sato seems to have a really hard time telling the difference.
Give Takuma Sato a break!! Yes I've seen him do some pretty nutty moves, and end up causing trouble, but can you blame him when the two ahead of him were stuffing around playing tiddly-winks??!!
it's more that these cars are horrible. i have seen an entire texas race before (think back to 2011 race 2) that went green the whole way with 30 cars on the track, and that was back during the era of the glorious IR-05s. admittedly shorter race but, the drivers have proved on several occasion that it is possible to go more then 100 laps of texas without wrecking. (think back to 2009 when we had a 140-lap green flag run from lap 10 to lap 149ish.)
For better and for worse, F1 would never run an oval for safety, and the racing is not ever as bunched as this is. Indy almost seems to disregard safety for excitement. It's crazy to me to run at 220mph next to grass that will wipe you out. Make the inside apex concrete and penalize crossing the line. This is the type of scenario that a driver gets killed in. Glad the safety measures in place work as well as they do.
That was one wild race. What else could you expect with a big ol' full moon? At least everybody got out okay.

This was such a good race. Taku got a new fan, he raced his ass off

Sato doing Sato things.
lol dixon jerked to the left, and clipped sato to cause that accident
James Wormsley what race are you watching m8??
Classic Sato is back ^^
Dixon didn't help the situation by jinking to the left.
and that's why he's the only indy driver im an actual fan of...
Sato just doesn't give a fuck. he's either gonna pass you, or wreck trying to.
i hear he was also like that back in formula 1
Wow. That racing was sketchy!
Great freaking race
They need to make Texas race like this every year
That was freaking amazing.

holy shit, i've never seen such amazing racing at Texas
what is IndyCar doing right? since NASCAR can't do it right

that race was madness!
was flipping between this and ufc and seemed to catch all the wrecks live. not amazing considering how good my odds were.
At least a Kiwi won in the UFC, lol,, Mark Hunt, & Scott Dixon.-. Ledgon.!!
琢磨攻めてますね!守らないところが素晴らしい〜
主人公琢磨
How can they sat inside those cars with so big balls ??
From hero to zero.
takuma sato right rear was on grass and lost it btw what a crazy race

win or crash
Sato = Kamikaza.
Checkers or wreckers.
First lap at Barcelona 2016
Lol Conner Daly just spun out😂😂😂
In 0:00 "iririririrririririri"
Crash at 2:28
Anytime Dixon doesn't win a race I celebrate.
TORA TORA TORAA!
reelkena Not him but it's the joke I got from Minidrivers series regarding Sato and most Japanese drivers like Kobayashi that tend to cause crashes
Tora Tora Tora was the code phrase the Japanese used to initiate the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Give Takuma Sato a break!! Yes I've seen him do some pretty nutty moves, and end up causing trouble, but can you blame him when the two ahead of him were stuffing around playing tiddly-winks??!!
10 cars on the entire track, and they crash. How absurd Indycar has become

さすがにあのスペースは無理感が ディクソンはなんか先週から全然ついてない気がするw
Conor Daly was involved in the crash as well.
D@3n!
He spun trying to avoid the wreck. Just needed a restart. Finished seventh.
why no crowd?
They were 2 years ahead of pandemic mentality
texas motor speedway moment.
Too much initial D...
こりゃひどいw
Satos back

You mentioned F1 because?
rantanamo maybe because there's a hate between F1 fanboys and Indycar fanboys
Two very similar sports with completely different sets of specificatios for track standards.
The two sports are compared to each other all the time...
They really shouldn't be compared. They are so different.
Sato crash King !!! Kicked out of F1 should be kicked out of Indy a dangerous driver
sato didnt got kicked out of f1 XD , he just didnt get a drive
