      I might be wrong, but i could’ve sworn that Rey’s health recovery delay was slower than everyone else’s.

      @@bigbosses4686 I know right. It really feels that way but I think it is the same as everyone’s except Luke. I think she just doesn’t have any sort of range so it makes attacking her easier thus it feels like a long time to get health back

      @@bigbosses4686 that does kinda go to show my point on why I don’t think she is all that great. She just has such a struggle in backing off and defending

    Great job, Katana!
    I know this is not a QA type of video, but I just need to ask you these questions:
    1) How do you manage frustration when losing in HS?
    2) One of your colleagues, Daniel Other, once talked about certain youtuber using old 2020 techniques (parry, hook swings, ect), and mentioned how he should start using "newer techniques'". Since both of you are amazing duelist, I want to ask you if you can elaborate on this "updated dueling style."

    • @Xenithu
      @Xenithu Рік тому +3

      When I said "new techniques," I meant leaning away from the same parry baits and dodge tricks used a while back, and instead use more unorthodox or unexpected techniques. These could include animation cancels, parry combos, hook combos, predictions, ability tech, lunges and much more😊

      1) if I lose against someone that is legitimately good then I honestly don’t care all that much because I just enjoy fighting high skill players. If I lose to someone that I shouldn’t lose to then that is extremely frustrating but it is important to keep calm and level headed so that you don’t get over aggressive and keep dying to that person.
      2) I think some of the newer stuff just refers to more advanced techniques like a double hook or double parry with the second parry being and ability. Plus there is stuff like the 4 hit frenzy and thrust hook for Grievous. Another one that I have heard of is the Vader super ultimate death choke as I like to call it which I might try to include in a video soon although I honestly haven’t even done it before. Most these “newer techniques” are hero specific so they are a bit harder to practice and what not. Also I basically just came up with all of this newer technique stuff off the top of my head but I imagine that this is what he means

    I’d say this guide would be partially effective against the bots you’d find in showdown queue, outside of that I don’t see how any of this info would be helpful in actual duels besides these vanilla encounters.

    • @katana2140
      @katana2140  Рік тому

      I think the basics are important to build a strong foundation because if you don’t execute the basics well then you’ll probably lose most duels. Although yeah hitting 10,000 hooks and 9,999 parries would probably be more useful than knowing when to back off but knowing when to back of can definitely save you.
