By listening to these three great artists, I can't think that they have all passed away, Their music making is so full of life, sentiments, excitement. Superb music.
what a loss that Ms. Allen is no longer with us on the planet...i still feel connected to her joy and life force listening to this beautiful music...my friend Charlie Haden is also gone...Mr. Paul Motion as well..but the weird and wonderful thing is that we can still feel their lives in this music...so much happiness and swinging pleasure...thank you for this excellent post..
This is simply a stunning recording by three of the foremost figures on their instruments. The reading of 'Round Midnight' which closes the set is one of the finest versions of Monk's masterpiece that I've come across in 60 years of Jazz appreciation.
I love this trio and I can't help but feel the same way. I think it's because the pianist is not the leader; in fact there is no leader which can be good but also not so good. IMO The cooperative nature of the group prevents it from reaching a level of expression that would otherwise be there if somebody took the reins
yeah, possibly the best version of this amazing tune (after bud's original, of course XD). Such an energy and great balance between tradition and avant-garde

Her death is a great loss. All three of these artists have now departed. We retain so many echoes of their music, and their memory holds firm. RIP.
Grave mourning in the world of jazz

great recording Thanks !!!!
increíble pianista
There is symbiosis that nicely entwines these artists making it a successful collaboration ... yet the music leaves me searching for what is missing.
