Respect to you for speaking out

We know why you did what you did. That's not a mystery. What people are trying to tell you is that by doing it, you're possibly making things worse for him instead of helping.
You also focused a lot of this on fighting back and speaking out, and say that's why you think it's important to do what you did, and credit Ren for his history of taking a stand. That's understandable as a desire, but Ren has already told us how he intends to fight back and how we can support that effort. It's not this.
You say you would take this down if Ren told you to. At around the 31:00 minute mark on the video he uploaded yesterday he mentioned Kujo's statement of "If you really cared about your fans you would leave the song up." Ren already expressed that bringing the song down hurt him, but serves an important purpose, and that is to eliminate it as a bargaining chip and leverage against him and keep it being used to further others' agendas.
I get it, I really do. The desire to buck the system, to share comeraderie with people who you connect with, to try to support someone you believe in. I take no issue with that. But posting a video justifying yourself going against what he himself has said because as you said in your comments "you can see in his eyes he doesn't want it down", that makes it feel less like it's about him and his music and more about doing what you think he wants. I also think that deflecting the criticism with "if Ren tells me to I'll take it down but I doubt he'll see this" feels like you setting yourself an out. As long as he doesn't see this video you can continue to claim you're in the right.
I'll finish off with one credit and one criticism to how you've handled this. The credit is that you've asked other's opinion in this video and state that you're willing to have open dialogue and want to hear from legal experts on the matter. The criticism is that your comments in the other video and the way you justify yourself in this one don't appear like you're actually listening to those other voices. You replied to one person who disagreed with you by claiming that they're acting like they know what Ren really wants and they can't know that, yet you're the one who has outright stated that you did this because you know Ren didn't want to take the song down.
"Since the truth is long forgotten we are left with just their actions (By their actions shall ye know them)"
Ren's actions have shown that he wants the song down until he can publish his own version.

First off, I want to say that I felt so conflicted because as I was watching the Sick Boi video that you posted I felt such a sense of relief...for a moment.
I told myself this was probably the last time I would see the video, but on the other hand it felt wrong. I understand where you are coming from.
Yes- rage against these f'd up systems. However, there are other ways to "take a stand and fight against corruption." Petitions can be made if they are
ever needed - full attendance and sharing his song that is coming up on Thursday.... buying copies of the remake, etc. Where I see a problem in this is that
this is very personal to Ren. C'mon he choked up during his statement but all of this has been going on behind the scenes - bc this is personal.
We didn't sign those contracts. We didn't have Kujo bully us. It's Ren choice to handle this how he wants to and if he wants to bring his friends in, he will ask
for the support. Based off "not" getting approval from Ren or Ren's team (which is easy btw), you aren't showing Ren respect, so your intentions and actions
aren't aligning - as kind- hearted and pure intentioned as you are. You aren't personally dealing with the gaslighting and the abuse Ren has had to deal with
in this. Ren is. So, while I understand that what he is going through is messed up, if you truly love and support Ren, I think you should respect his wishes.
(And no doubt you love and support Ren.)
I think it's best put with an analogy. Say I'm somebody in your life or in the public eye. (I'm not - I'm nobody but pretend for the sake of discussion). And I open up publicily
about someone who is abusing me physically or mentally - or say stalking me. Say you care about me even though you don't know me and you find what I am dealing
with to be some horrible injustice so you go and share something personal from that situation for the world to see. I may have made a statement, but how I deal with
personal injustices inflicted on me is my choice and you may be putting me in danger or causing situations where that person that is causing me harm can hurt me further.
Not the perfect analogy...but still an analogy.
Ren made a public video so we can know what's going on. He showed us detailed messages of these people being verbally abusive. He has informed us to leave them alone-
that he is handling things and how he is handling things. I understand you want to make a stand against injustice and corruption. I really do. And I did appreciate seeing that video
one last time. But you really should put a ticket in to the team. There are people that can get a hold of Ren and get you an answer. Imagine if Kujo saw this and used
it to harass Ren. Not cool. But the good intentions are there. Logically, however, this doesn't show respect to Ren. It just shows how you are willing to fight for him.
Much respect for that. This is just my opinion and none of it is said in malice or to hurt you. I just hope you will at least seek approval. There are only some situations where
it's okay to ask for forgiveness before asking for permission and with the large amount of comments from Ren's fanbase gently telling you it's not right... maybe just maybe find an admin
on one of the few online gathering places for renegades so they can check for you? That would show respect. Much love and Good Luck.

@@tanya_loves_u I understand your concerns but this move I made is bigger than Ren. It’s a call-out against greed and corruption, which Ren has repeatedly shown that he’s against that. I am kinda failing to see how this would be a violation of Ren as he chose to release the song to the public so he clearly wants his hard work out there. I am also failing to see how my actions would harm him personally as I acted independently from him and Ren knew nothing about this. So the worst that could happen is that I would be affected, which is fine, it’s the risk that I have taken. And like I said in the video if at any time Ren personally contacts me to say, ‘Can you please take down the video?’ I will do it in a heartbeat. I don’t have a direct line to Ren so I have go to off on the facts that are presented to me. Legally no one has provided me with evidence that what I am doing is illegal or could harm Ren financially or legally. As far as emotional damage goes, based on the Ren we have come to know through his music an interviews I do not have sufficient reason to believe that Ren would not be flattered that his fans want to keep his music alive. As evidence in the video regarding this matter, when he got a little emotional, it was very clear that he did not want this. He didn’t want to take down his art. I also mentioned this in the video, reploading the song was also to keep the music video alive. Because the video 100% came from Ren and his team and adds so much to the song. And even if Ren does a retake video, I don’t know if it will be able to fully replace the video we get with the original sick boi.

@emilysingz96 it's cool. I get it. You're passionate about this and I'm not judging you. You want to take a stand against greed and corruption that's bigger than Ren. Then I have to ask you is Kujo bigger than Ren? Would we know this person had it not been for them trying to rip Ren off after he sold him a stolen beat? 🤔 Yeah sure, the greed and corruption is clearly visible here. But what system are you fighting?

@@tanya_loves_u greed and corruption doesn’t only lie amongst those in great power and authority. It can exist amongst all of us. And the need for money and the desire for things in excess can suppress people’s morality and lead them to do questionable things. This is evident in the Kujo and Ren situation.

@emilysingz96 yes, I realize this. I think most people have met others or have had our own experiences with greedy and corrupt people. But you said this situation was bigger than Ren when I pointed out that this is a personal experience he is going through. And now you're scaling it back down to the personal level. You have also said multiple times that you'll take it down "if" Ren contacts you personally (which could be perceived as a form of extortion. "I'm not doing this unless Ren personally contacts me." It takes less time to check with his team if it's ok than to create a video and upload it to UA-cam and to have these discussions. It's ok. You do you. I've said all I need to say towards this discussion. Good luck.

@@tanya_loves_u I said ‘if he contacts me’ because I do not believe he would have an issue with this not because I want to extort him. That’s crazy and so not me. What musicians and the public need to understand is that when you release something out on the internet it’s out there forever. Because whether it’s me or someone else good music will always be archived. So if you really have an issue with what I have done then you should also confront all the other people that have done the same as me. Because I am not the only one here.

its a messy thing . he has to pay kujo when it gets played.. its the same reason taylor switf just re-recorded eveyone of her songs so she dosen't have to pay those people there evil. i would'ent want to pay kujo for the rest of my life if i was Ren

@@Steve78joesph I mean Ren has no issue paying Kujo what he has actually earned. The problem comes when Kujo asks for more than he his owed. That’s what Ren has a problem with.
