@@nightanddaydecor the reason is that most tech needs occasional troubleshooting, and if you fill yourself with enough tech, you will be troubleshooting something every week. A simpler technology like manual blinds, avoida such problems. Tech is only worth it if it really adds value.
I totally agree! I bought a house with 6 Hunter Douglas power rise shades. The chance of using this function is very low. There is no low battery warnings, And old batteries would easily turn bad and leak sticky liquid. It is a nightmare to remove bad batteries and clean. What a stupid design!
I had 3 of these shades. One wand just went bad. I replaced the batteries and it still didn't work. I ordered a new one (they run over $30.00) Now the other 2 have gone bad and the only 1 that works is the one I ordered. A fortune in batteries and wands.
More detail please. Most of us do not start with extra wand and we need step. by step guidance. Do the batteries face up or down when inserted into the wand? How exactly do you get the wand in place? I'm on a ladder reaching over my head. Not sure how hard to push when pressing it into place; do I smoothly slide it into the bracket or push hard? Batteries for Dummies.
Might be best to get the installation manual with diagrams from your retailer. Battery wand snaps/clicks in, it doesn't really "slide". They are just AA batteries, so yes, perhaps there's a youtube video on how to tell which way to insert batteries. Typically, there is some indication or sticker with a diagram on the battery pack itself, depending on year made.
Are these instructions for shade 10 years old? My shade stopped half way up. I did not understand your explanation as to what to do if shade is not in up position.
Yes, same instructions should apply to any shade from 2007 to 2021 . If it’s down, it doesn’t really make a difference , other than it is more awkward to reach the pack.
That goes for me as well. Your explanation was so thorough and clear. Many thanks!!
OMG I love you. This was super easy. I couldn't find a simple explanation anywhere. This is what I needed. Much appreciated!!
Glad to be of help!
Thank you for your help. I had to help the shade up with my hand but otherwise very easy. Great video.
Best explanation! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much
So helpful
That solved it! Thanks gang!
Honestly wish this house just came with manual blinds 😂. Not a great upgrade
Shame you feel that way. Various technologies are just not everyone's cup of tea!

What if the cable disconnect from the curtains it self. I spent 12hours trying to put it back. It really small. Why they do such small plug

Where did you manage to buy a new wand?

Good video.
Thanks, we are glad to be helpful.
would you please show me how to keep them open like you have it? All of them are but the only one is almost closed
One vane stays closed? If it's a bottom vane, the very thin cords that are working behind the fabric might be snapped?
love it
