Re PD48: The only thing admitted was that Lee Gaeun and Han Chowon were excluded. We know this because they were compensated. The actual vote rankings were never revealed for good reason. All of the IZ*ONE members deserved to be there. These days, the votes aren't manipulated, but the votes don't ultimately determine who gets in and who doesn't.

@@hyuncute They were compensated with cold hard cash, and they got credit for winning the show. IZ*ONE was active and doing quite well, but suspended when the scandal broke. This is wrong. Rigging is never "needed". Imagine you had an opportunity stolen from you and someone was talking about how good it was that you were robbed out of your opportunity. That is how you sound, many idols who could have need the iz*one hype were screwed. In terms of making a cohesive group, that is the burden the produce series put on themselves, rigging is a slimy decision to avoid the responsibility of actually making different idols actually blend well with each other and give them good music and promotion.
Kep1er was also rigged. There's no voting manipulation but the amount of evil editing and unfair screentime distribution made it very clear that Mnet had favorites They evil edited every Chinese contestant. The result? Only one Chinese contestant debuted Dayeon got an absurd amount of screentime, making it was very clear that Mnet is pushing her. While evil editing existed in the produce series, it was very clear in Girls Planet 999 that Mnet is trying to "work around" voting manipulation by excessive evil editing.
