I think the issue with changing to filterless is not having enough colonized bacteria outside of the filter. Also with filterless you don't scrub/clean everything as often as most hobbyist with filters due allowing bacteria to bettter colonize the surfaces.
43:40 Try turning on the pump and turn on the hose water directly down the pump intake line. Force a flow of water across the impeller incase it is air-locked.
@@LRBaquatics After looking for a video that had your plumbing picture, I noticed some snails on your tanks. You might have a snail problem blocking the impeller. If it were me, I would put a shutoff valve and two disconnects (like you have crossing the tank racks), so I could remove the pump for servicing. When I had my big salt tank running, I had several disconnects so I could clean/repair the various parts.
48:48 When I worked hurricane Andrew, a coworker was slacking and sleeping on what was left of a shrub. We found this toad that was a big as a dinner plate and placed it on his legs. The thing was so big it couldn't hop, it just did this rolling side to side kind of walk which made the situation even funnier as it slowly roll-flop-walked up towards his chest. It was difficult to keep from laughing as there was a circle of folks watching the display. The toad slowly lumbered up to his upper chest as the guy finally noticed something was on him. He wakes up to this huge toad face staring right at him, man screams while flailing/rolling/and an action I don't even think they have a name for, while everyone busts out laughing. Shame this was before cellphone cameras as that toad walk up his entire body...while the guy was oblivious to what was happening, was something difficult to portray in words to accurately reflect the tension and drama that unfolded that day. 🐸 The toad was so monstrously huge that it had to of been destined to be found for that exact reason.
The neos can eat the planaria. Often why you will see a lot of planaria is not only from over feeding but from the shrimp dividing them which they can multiply from being divided. They do make something called no planaria which will kill the planaria and safe for shrimp and fish.
@@LRBaquatics I'll take any extra containers/caps you want to get rid of. I use them for my pond fish food. I go through about one container per feeding so it is a handy size to use. I can trade other containers if you need some, like coffee containers that have finger holds.
Weird, was having to restart TV multiple times, but the tablet kept up with most of the stream. Edit: It also shows chia_pet here, but not on the stream?

Hard to get water in the line it’s a closed system . Maybe I could add a valve and spot on to add water…

Lmao I bet that was quite the stunt to watch
Hey Lucas,
I have 6 Neo tanks with planaria. I use traps but that controls them. Can the Neos live just on biofilm if I stop feeding them?

@@LRBaquatics Thank you kindly for the info.
What do you do with the empty containers of fish food?
I’ve been keeping them. Not really sure why but they are good containers and could be useful one day…
