Everyone has their own personal association with a song and mine was that I heard this (Along with your other works) during the -best- time of my life about a decade ago. You created something that formed a part of my own life story (as well as many others) during the absolute highlight and I'm so damned happy that I found your music.
As for not being proud of who you were - I guess we all go through periods of being a little less desirable than what we could have been, but the important part is the growth that follows, as well as recognising that we need to change and then affecting that change. @@Filacki I'll never lose my love for the game but it's a complicated prospect to try to get back into producing. I'd love to, it's a lot of fun, but I have just as much fun listening to and analyzing music as I do producing it. I won't say never on this one but life has taken me in a direction that makes new music difficult to consistently work on
It's a little more realistic for me to be "the music guy" at my regular job (that I also love) than it is to devote as much to producing as I did once upon a time

Even after grown up from the peak Brony era, I still come back to H8_Seed’s stuff. He has such a unique sound that still seems so fresh

Man, there are so many Brony oriented content creators who just disappeared. Kinda sad really. Although I don't blame them. It's not like they could just keep doing it forever. But I will definitely miss it. Also this song is fantastic.

Alright, it's time that I get way too personal on the internet, but I felt this is worth sharing, no matter who may come across it.
I had been a fan of H8_Seed ever since I stumbled upon his "Shoot the Messenger" song several years ago. I had been subscribed to him ever since, and there wasn't a single song he had posted that I didn't find myself downloading and listening to on repeat for weeks on end. Call me a fanatic if you will, but he had quickly risen to be a favorite artist of mine, both in pony and just electronic music in general. His posts were scarce, sure, but goddamn if it didn't become some of my favorite pieces of all time. I still get a kick out of them, even to this day. Neverending Strife, Manticore, his Dire Dire Docks remix, all of it. That's not even mentioning his collaborations such as Awoken, which still holds its place as one of my favorite songs of all time.
But that's not where the whole personal thing comes in. On the morning of November 11, 2012, something happened in my life that would rock the foundation of my entire being: my father had committed suicide. While I wasn't particularly close to him and we often didn't see eye to eye, it still completely destroyed me. Everyone in my entire family had been crushed by it, such that we were in a place of absolute desolation and despair. My mother, brother, and myself had to move in with my grandparent's simply because we didn't want to be in our home after what had happened.
Things were anything but pleasant during our stay, to say the least. Sleepless nights, difficulties shoveling any kind of meal down, and the inability to go for even a few hours without shedding a some tears. I won't claim to have been the most shaken of us, but it was near impossible to find even a sliver of happiness outside of the little circle of my house family. With no desire to go outside, or even the drive to try and play some video games (which is more or less my entire life), I honestly had nothing that could bring me to smile.
On November 13, merely two days after the incident, I sign onto my grandmother's computer. I pull up UA-cam, log in to my account, and right there at the top of my subscriptions box... is this video. A new song from H8_Seed. It hadn't been too long since his last post at the time, but it was still a pleasant sight to see. I give it a listen, and then... I smiled. It didn't remind me of pleasant memories or feel as some kind of symbolic thing relating to my father, and even contextually it didn't make much sense. It was just a pleasant song. I just liked hearing it. It made me happy, plain and simple. In what was the darkest time of my entire life, I had been graced with something that made me smile again. Perhaps it isn't the biggest of gestures, nor was it even intended to serve as such a specific purpose, but for whatever reason, I loved this song to the point where it made me happy, even through the bleakest of times. I downloaded it, put it on my phone, and would listen to it day and night, simply because it dulled some of my pain.
Weeks would pass, months, and now years. The pain of losing my father would go away bit by bit, and I myself would grow a stronger person. Yet one thing has yet to change; my love for this specific song. In any playlist, device, USB drive, everything, I always ensure I have this song on hand. To remind me of happier times, to bring me a smile no matter how low I'm feeling.
No matter how depressing things may seem and how awful times may get, hearing this tune reminds me; true joy can come from the most unexpected of places, the most innocent of sources. I don't know if H8_Seed himself would ever see this message or if he would ever come back to create music again, but I would still like to throw it out there regardless. Thank you for the gift you have given not just me, but the Brony community as a whole. I know there are people who would gladly take the time to attack your works or insult your creations, but know that there is and always will be someone, MANY people out there who truly appreciate what you have created.
Thank you, H8_Seed, for the wonderful music you've made for the world. I'll always be a loyal fan, regardless of what the future may hold.

I really like how unique the vocals sound compared to everything else I've heard, it's hard for me to find music that has the same feel as this, and I likely never will find anything that makes me feel the same way since it has that nostalgia factor on top of it, so I'm glad I can still listen to it.
It’s been years since I watched the show and engaged in the fandom, or even called myself a brony, but this song although I’ve never listened to it before today gives me such a sense of nostalgia of all the great times and wonderful episodes, truly an amazing time in my life, may this fandom never die

Thank you very much for unlocking this.^^ I was really upset about joining the fandom and just see many popular people leave. But I totally understand your reason in it. At least we can now communicate with you even if you wont answer many times. But just the feeling that you are still there makes me happy. This unlock was more than enough. You don't need to unlock anything else because this Comment section can work like a little chat window what is totally controlable by you.
I clicked on this video, started listening, decided it wasnt my 'kind' of music and tabbed away to let it play in the background. And then in the middle of doing something else I realized that I really REALLY liked this and immediately had to hear it again. Awesome song.
I think... this leaves me more in a somber mood than feeling much else. It is so very high-quality that I can't help but feel like I missed out on something important by joining the herd so late. And the saddest part, is that I took some time to look at some of the older comments, and I can see a very clear progression of events.
I make no requests. I will not deride anyone, for I know no one. But neither will I cheer. I will sit here quietly, enjoying the small break in the clouds, for as long as it may last, thanking whatever force brought this ray of soft sunshine down upon me, and will move on with a smile on my face if and when it passes.
