- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited is a British luxury automobile maker. A wholly owned subsidiary of German group BMW, it was established in 1998 after BMW was licensed the rights to the Rolls-Royce brand name and logo from Rolls-Royce plc and acquired the rights to the Spirit of Ecstasy and Rolls-Royce grill shape trademarks from Volkswagen AG. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited operates from purpose-built administrative and production facilities opened in 2003 across from the historic Goodwood Circuit in Goodwood, West Sussex, England, United Kingdom. Rolls-Royce Motors Cars Limited is the exclusive manufacturer of Rolls-Royce branded motor cars since 2003.
Although the Rolls-Royce brand has been in use since 1906, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars subsidiary of BMW AG has no direct relationship to Rolls-Royce-branded vehicles produced prior to 2003 other than being a major engine and other supplier prior to 2003. The Bentley Motors Limited subsidiary of Volkswagen AG is the direct successor to Rolls-Royce Motors and various other predecessor entities that produced Rolls-Royce and Bentley branded cars between the foundation of each company and 2003, when the BMW-controlled entity started producing cars under the Rolls-Royce brand

Majority of the work in the car is hand-made. And they're all seemed hard at work here, as if they're not building a car. They're making an art. Masterpiece.
No wonder Rolls-Royce have every reason to be indeed ultra-expensive. They strive for perfection.
I am deeply impressed with craftsmanship paying attention to every little tiny details in this masterpiece and how quite the factory every one working in a relaxing atmosphere knows what to do and how and when to do it

This is not a car factory,,,This is an art perfection built on four wheels.
I love every process of producing their cars, especially the process that involves manual work from the workforce. And what was outstaing for me is that Roll Royce checks for the simulation. Shout out! 👏🙌
The final inspection was the best. Cause he has to thoroughly check all details
QC department got a very special role to play since they inspect each and everything about the end product.

I have always admired all the Rolls Royce models and looking at the construction and assembly procedure I seem to see Leonardo Da Vinci painting the Mona Lisa. Really congratulations.

Most of these cars are custom built. The Constellation roof was a one off and the stars were positioned as they were to represent a particular night. One customer had over £25,000 of diamonds inlaid into the interior door trim. One panel was returned to the specialist manufacturer TWICE because some diamonds were placed too high in the settings ( less than the thickness of a sheet of paper), then returned again and a whole new panel made because of a small crack.
As the saying goes "If you've got it flaunt it" and yes, I would like to be able to afford these shiny baubles; but I can also think that, with the degree of some peoples suffering just to survive, that as a species, we have our priorities a bit skewed.
A waste of $, IMHO. I will take practical styling and engineering over luxury any day of the week. Then again, I don't buy designer ANYTHING-John in Texas

Absolutely amazing dedication, craftsmanship, and high quality. The only issue that I have with the entire process is the Quality control inspector at the end with the white gloves. I couldn’t help but notice how close those rugged square glasses came to the beautiful paint 16:20 on more than one occasion.

I once had the honor and privilege of working with an English Gentleman who in his youth worked at Rolls Royce. He had immigrated to the USA with his wife for what I did not ask but that man taught me more in a year than I learn in ten from others. Thank You Harold for your experiences during knowledge.
