Yeah, leave it to you Darrell to show me one of the weirdest guitar things I have ever seen and then not explain how it accomplishes this feat of magic. LOLOL
Ok a few things. First love that ax. Sweetest color, and a killer Rockabilly type sound, no muss, no fuss. Second, my Les Paul hasn't been out of it's case in 6 or 7 months, but I'd bet cash money, it's in tune. In fact, the only thing that messes with the tuning in general is temperature extremes. Lastlu, when I bend my strings I want them to change pitch. While, that seems like a handy trick to cover sloppy playing, I think I'd rather clean up my playing and besides, a little slop is Ok. It's rock n roll.
I still want to know how it does that though. Thanks, brother. You are a UA-cam gem. - Jstn

the evertune is the greatest guitar innovation in the last 40 years. if they can come up with a trem version then it's game over for all other systems

Pretty sure a trem system wouldn't work properly on this. You could tune at the bottom of the "plateau" so that dive bombs work, but then you would be giving up the ability to bend up on your strings and you definitely couldn't do a two way floating trem system.

In the last two years I have sold almost my entire guitar collection and replaced them with evertune equipped guitars. Those few that I kept, I also had fitted with evertune bridges. First, I agree that Gibson should probably lessen the angle on their headstocks (purists would keel over dead lol)
My Gibson LP Standard holds tune fine, and my epi 60's tribute plus has locking grovers the Gibo doesn't. I had to really clean out the nut on my Epi before B and E wouldn't ping while tuning and stay in tune after bends. While you are correct about the break angle issue, Gibson owners typically just wrap the B and high E strings up instead of down like most guitars. Works for me

Each string is on its own tremelo in essence. But it's set by spring pressure there is 6/7/8 springs in back that have the proper tension to hold the string in tune, that is part of the set up though. If you change string gauges a lot, they kind of suck.

They really are worth it. I got a an evertune on Solar guitar and the thing is rock solid. Best $1,300 I ever spent.

Amazing. But makes me wonder how does it actually work to maintain this tuning stability. How does it actually work?

Gretsch are Great, Bit always little problem to stay in tune. Not the same with an Duesenberg. Your solution is great with evertune

Cool systeme, but you could try also a Peavey AT-200 :) and you will have a guitar they stay in tune and also in the tune mode that you like. Drop D, open G. has you wish :)
I like your video, their are very intersting.
But can you give us your thought about different type of Strings. I mean Guitar's Strings :D
Between. D'addario, Ernie Balls, SIT, Elixir or others you know they're great. And also the different sound and playability from 8 to 52. And what do you think about the different kind of sound between steel, nickel, cobalt.
I know, there is a lot to talk about, but that's a great subject.
    Thank you for your videos
    Nice greatings from Austria

Hey Bryan could you review the Ibanez LB-1? My local long and McQuade doesn't have one yet and even if it did it's the pandemic.

I find that the string starts to go sharp a little bit before you reach the end of the plateau. So instead of it being a sharp break between the plateau and it going sharp there's a little bit of a rise in the pitch when it reaches the end of the plateau. This makes it a little tricky to keep everything in tune when you're trying to set it up like a regular guitar. Other than that I think the Evertune works as advertised

hey darrel. thanks for video wich pickups would you suggest for this particular electromatic type with bolt on neck, thereby could get a gretschi and defined sound, thanks

I bought an Evertune equipped guitar a few months ago. It takes a minute to get used to the feel during bends (it doesn't hamper play, you can just feel the springs moving in the system). The biggest takeaway is that you don't realize how often you have to retune your guitars until you get one that you literally never have to tune.
If you're the kind of person that only plays in one tuning, I can't recommend the Evertune enough. If you like to drop tune or change tunings constantly, it's only slightly easier to mess with than a Floyd Rose.

This thing is freaky. Watching you bend that 6th string with no effect on the note was messing with my brain

I had no idea you could get a stop tail piece that fits.... its for a Gibson and it fits perfectly on that Gretsch! What else does it fit on? Epiphones?
You said it was pre installed, did you get someone else to do it, and fit it? Did they have to redrill the posts etc?

Is the tension set to compensate for A440 tuning only? What if you are covering
tunes that vary slightly from standard? Break out the tuning key between songs
or ??? Good concept though for sure.

The evertune bridge could be the ultimate upgrade for guitars with scalloped fretboards. You could set it up so they don't go sharp so easily.

I would 100 percent never use the non bending setup. How well does it keep in tune in the full articulation mode.

What about in a cold environment like a basement where the guitar usually gets colder than your hands and you start to play it a bit which warms them up (thus needing to tune alot more) ? On evertune it seems like you set it for the plateau it would end up being sharp and maybe warming up slightly but still being sharp, so you would have to set it up in such a way to lose bends?

I just started playing and was wondering if this bridge is compatible with a Washburn Lyon guitar mine always goes out of tune. Would be cool to add this to a cheap guitar

I'm pretty old school, and think most guitar "advancements" are gimmicks to get players to upgrade, solve a problem that doesn't really exist, cause more problems than they fix, or simply don't work (Gibson robo tuners, for example, are a bit of all of these). This is an ingenious piece of engineering though. It's about the only "upgrade" I've ever considered purchasing for a guitar, outside of swapping pickups. I'd absolutely buy it if I were doing any type of gigging these days.
