      @@jnsrianhansen2648
The beginning is indeed a bit repetitive. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all write down their experiences and they have some shared experiences so you'll end up reading of the same event multiple times. I find it really starts to shake up once you get to Acts after those four books, hearing the adventures of Saint Paul and how he went from a rather hateful person who sought to prosecute Christians where he could find them, to being met with Christ after the crucifixion, and ultimately becoming an apostle. Much of the New Testament was written by him even though initially he seemed to hate Christianity. There's also a joke at the end of 1 Corinthians or 2 Corinthians from Saint Paul, and Romans specifically is aimed at Gentiles like my own fine White self.
Also, I think it is in Romans where it says that a wife's body is not her own, but also her husband's, and her husband's body is not his own but also his wife's. Talks a bit about sex, and if memory serves I think it also mentions that it is one another's duty to satisfy one another or something like that. Married couples are free to have sexual relations.
Then at the end is Revelations, which is very much like an acid/LSD trip. That's how it was described to me, and upon reading it, I had to agree with the conclusion, as has all Christians I've mentioned this concept to. "Yeah, it's like a series of hallucinations." Things like that.
My first experiment with the New Testament (and I do find it's best to start with the New Testament and then if you want to read the Old Testament, read that afterwards through the lens of Christ's teachings) was to select shorter books within it. Get a small taste, see what it's like. I read a few of the books, including Romans, and well thus far I couldn't really see much to object to. Decided to buckle down and read it start to finish, including all the books I had already read. I intend on reading it again sometime, start to finish, but right now I'm working on the Old Testament. You'd be surprised how many cartoon films depicting Old Testament events are impressively accurate at least with some aspects. The Prince of Egypt in particular.
My recollection of watching it as a child kept springing to mind as I read events in Genesis/Exodus. Moses killing an Egyptian or being harsh to a Jewish slave, then being reprimanded for having done so. The burning bush, being afraid of it, his staff being turned into a snake and back again, can't remember if in the film Moses didn't believe anyone would believe him but in the Old Testament, he doubted people would believe, and so God instructed him to throw his staff to the ground and then it became a snake. God told him to reveal these miracles and so they will believe.
Anyhow, yeah, I attempted to read the Bible when I was a teenager but found it painfully boring. If you're still interested in trying it out, firstly I'd advise you to get a modern translation that uses modern phraseology and wording so that it's a lot easier to understand rather than going with thee and thou and using more dated phrases/words which can require additional thought to understand. Secondly, try sampling some of the smaller books. Check the page where all the different books are listed and what pages they begin at, and count how many pages are between each book. Pick some short ones and give it a go. That's how I went about it and it worked for me! :) Cheers!

jokes aside the back story of this video is i as wettin the whistle and fiddling with sounds when i noticed youtube suggested bukowski , i turned it on . felt a connection like i did many times before and began making somthing calm yet meloncholic . Somthing made on a drunken whim with not much thought but a feeling . to me its the weeping memories of hazy cold drunken nights coverd in blood floating in the slums .
zen achieved through dispair costs a chunk of happinies from your life ,but it can make poets , paladins in ragad cloths or even monsters .To alot of people its just backround music.Too me its a reminder of a chapter of my life , and bukowski's drunken wisdom brought enlightenment to my disturbed drunken soul .The meaning of this poem to me is that its sorta an artistic joke , it sure as shit is not meant to be taking literally my any means .If you find the backround music to be annoying theres a link in the discription to the orignal audio with no music

@@FilbertWolfgang I appreciate the backstory, and didn't see the original link in the description. I only bring it up because tones and the manner people speak add meaning to their words, and background music can be distracting. I do like the music though, just not in this context.

    Медная коса
    ..
