I am genuinely amused at how many viewers say "you should go and watch videos on UA-cam on how to use a scraper".. When I literally am on UA-cam all the time, and clearly have watched videos on how to use a scraper. Today, I was in a sand pit.. and this is exactly how I would use an earth mover - even as a first time operator. The door to the belly only needed to be open a bit .. depending on your cut depth. Same with dropping the belly blade. And yes, you can push the earth mover with the dozer - OR - use the ripper to pull it. The front hook is designed FOR another scraper or a dozer ripper to pull it.. its why its there.
The dozer pushes so that when the scraper reaches the end of the cut it can just drive away while the dozer reverses to push the next scraper. When doing tandem scrapers the lead scraper loads while the rear pushes it, once the lead is loaded it will pull the rear scraper. I’ve been in construction my entire life and don’t believe I have ever witnessed a dozer pull a scraper by it’s ripper. I think you had trouble because typically the work area for a scraper has been graded by a dozer first. If you think about it and scale those dips to same size as scraper in 1:1 they would be 6ft deep. No scraper is operating in those conditions. I’m genuinely not trying to be a dick, just wanted to give some feedback based on real world experience. Love the videos keep them coming! I’m looking forward to seeing more of this big CAT
I dont think your being a dick, as you say in your comment - but the hanger on the front is for the tandem scraper setup or a ripper to pull.. if the scraper does not have the hook on the front, then the dozer HAS to push it.. see here: ua-cam.com/video/KS63t8zSCCA/v-deo.html. In tandem, the hook is for the pulling pin on the lead scraper, while the middle is actually doing the cutting
I have never seen a dozer PULL a scraper. They only push scrapers. The reason is practicality. The scraper gets into the cut, the dozer turns in behind the scraper and starts to push. When the scraper is full, he picks up the can, makes a hard turn, and goes. The hard turn is because it is easier to turn the can than to pull it straight. This way he can pick up a gear, and get some momentum. The bail is strictly use to hook the rear of another scraper. Suggestion, open the apron more. It looks like you where plowing the sand, and getting stuck. If the apron had been open more, then the cutting edge would have sliced into the sand, and loaded into the can. You only close the apron down after you start loading, so that the material in the can doesn't spill out. Practice, practice practice. Love the machines.
Always enjoy your stuff. I would recommend opening the mouth of scraper completely for loading and unloading. Use hieght of belly for thickness. If you haven't got someone to push or pull with dozer that is.
If you ever would like to talk to someone who runs dirt-work equipment for a living shoot me a message, practice makes perfect but loading sand open that apron more and when you go to unload open the apron halfway it’ll make it go smoother. I love running push pull scrapers!!! Also typically dozers only push them very seldom do they pull them, but this is wicked cool!!!!!

If you open your front gate for the scrapper and put the ejector forward all the way it acts like a big dozer blade. Just some advice from an scrapper operator.
Bringing back memories of operating for me. I put in a lot of time with a scraper out in the Middle East, along with every other equipment you can think of. Wish I was in Canada to show Sparks how it's done!
We normally ran the gate full open at all times and only ever used a push dozer, never pull. Gate only closed when you transported the dirt to where you wanted to put it down. Ejecting the gate would be full open and I would normally just adjust with vehicle speed or ejector speed if I had to.
@@wolf16731 Dang, you must have been in lots of sand.. but as I said, I was buried up to the axles in moments.. open gate or not.. I cant believe people are arguing the points of how someone is having imaginary fun.. lol The world these days.. I think for my first attempt, I kicked ass
Ran a buggy for some time. Fill your hopper with you gate half open and close slightly once the dirt hits the ejection wall and continue to fill with a push dozer. To put a nice even flat lift down of dirt. Always be moving forward, open gate first and enough to have a slight spill out then start slowly ejecting. Lift gate fully 1/2 way of ejection. Really cool toy and I'm hooked now on your channel. Keep this stuff coming man. HAPPY RC ING

FYI you have it loaded properly you want the weight of the machine more to the front so when you haul a excavator in real life the most weight is in the back of the machine.
Can’t wait to see you drag that scraper with the dozer!!! And another dozer pushing it at the same time . That’s a true display of teamwork!!!! G.O.L.D. 😎
You had the '' apron'' closed , open it up ohh 3/4" to an inch to allow the material to be forced into the "" bowl"" to get loaded up. As it loads up & then you start getting traction because of the wheight of the material.
when it comes to the excavator, nope you loaded it right. for weigth distribution the bucket ALWAYS goes to the back as overhang so that you can get the weight of the machine in the middle where it needs to be
On those lowboy trailers, the real ones have flip out arms down each side that you put 2x8 oak boards to extend the width of your trailer when your tracks hang over like that. You also need to get some wide load signs on that rig and trailer and if it's way over weight and size, you need an escort car, lol.
I love your channels and adventures. I operate most of this equipment on a daily basis at my job. As for loading the scraper, open your apron door more and adjust it as needed during loading. Your cutting edges should just be down touching whatever material you are loading. As the scraper goes forward, it will dig slightly deeper as it goes. When offloading, you can use the ejector to push it forward some before opening your apron door. That way it has pressure already in it as you open the door to dump. Also a quick note, when loading or unloading, it is best to have your rear wheels in somewhat of a level surface to begin with. If not, your scraper bowl will rock side to side just as your back wheels do and will cut or dump your load in the same pattern.

I worked for a short while with earthmoving equipment in the mid-80s. We were raising the earth wall of a tailings dam at a coal mine. There were D9L dozers ripping the borrow pits and pushing the scrapers if need be. Then the scrapers would drag that loose fill and dump it on the top of the old dam wall. I drove a 769C dump truck with a water tank in the dump bucket wetting down the fill for it to be laser leveled by graders and vibe rolled to specific compaction parameters. Great fun.
So glad you still have that twin steer, dude. Of all the RC stuff you have, that truck is my favorite, by far. I want a 1/14 Peterbilt 362 twin steer so bad.
You can actually grade with a scraper really well with belly door closed and slowly knocking down all the high spots and every pass lowering the belly pan a little after each pass

Keep up the great fun you deliver for all of us here!
Loading the track-hoe reminds me of getting my tank on the car when railheading. Driving 65+ tons of tank down a quarter mile or so of flatbed traincar, the tank being ~18" wider than the car on either side, and the transition ramps from car to car were just big humps. You'd go from looking at the guy ahead guiding you to looking at the sky when the front hit the ramps, all at a dead crawl because it was 15' to the ground of you rolled.
The belly is actually called the “can” and the front gate is actually called the “apron” and the plate that pushes all of the material out is called the “ejector”
Love your channel, thought I'd let ya know a couple things about real scrapers that may help, you usually open your door about a 1/4 of the way when loading, should help with getting sand in the pan, and when you empty on most machines that is the same control, you open your door all the way then your crowd moves forward to eject the material, and keep your pan low to make a smooth fill, it will just drag the material along and dump it in low spots. Really cool pieces of equipment I'd love to spend a day running equipment 3rd person!
Just love the content and seeing that you're enjoying life like I should be RC Nation going hard Tranquility Harmony meditation peace of mind keep up the good work like always you been doing it for years With Friends and family enjoying the hobby wishing the best to your family from my family all the way down here Houston Texas rock out with your RC out

It look like you need to get a front detach lo-boy to load that scraper! can the gate at the front of the bowl be raised higher to get material in better? Does the ejector wall have different speeds or do you just drive accordingly? Nice presentation, would love to have the opportunity to run some of the units you have demo'd in the past!
The 1:1 scarapers when loading them lower the "" bowl "" so its just barely above the asphalt, by doing that it raises the front up & it should clear.or cut some like wood scale blocks like 12" inch by 18 " inch scale blocks by 4 or 5 feet scale long put under your ramps to rase them to flatten out the slope. Just an idea.
So the only thing you don't have in RC is a road grader and a paver... The scraper is probably one of those "it looks like cake" but really isn't machines. I know a few people mentioned it, but having the excavator loaded like you did is correct, and in RC its probably better because you have the heavy end closer to the drive axles so the truck pulls it a little better. I have a few RCs to fix before I can get outside and have fun. But working on them is fun too.
PUSH lol push the scraper . front door = apron. single scrapers are awesome on road jobs because they are so damn fast don't need to hook them up or push them . but yeah in sand you probably do. front hook = bail hook hooks on to the rear of another scraper if it has the hook to catch it. need a soil compactor like and 815 or 825 or 826 would be awesome and a padfoot roller to go with the smooth drum . and of course u need a water cart too. love your stuff man so good to see you looking healthier and the weather looks amazing
More often I see those scrapper trucks in where a new neighbourhood is being built. They scrape off the top soil then sell it back the home buyers! LOL!
Practice practice practic, hell medic, 95% of us watching haven't done this either, I'll guarantee we're still watching your video, only wish you had bigger sand pile to work on, so your roads aren't 6 foot long!! Love your videos, this equipment are awesome!!
If u would be open the gate on the to scraper about a quarter to half way. It to would cut and fill the belly pan a lot easier, faster and fuller. Then to lay a Good strip u raise the gate A quarter. Then pick the belly up about an inch or 2 off the ground and as u drive forward u bring the back eject gate to the front to push the dirt out of the belly as u drive. It's much easier to show then explain. That was the first machine I started operating when I was about 15yrs old. I'm 45yrs now. And Ive been operating ay trackhoe some call it an excavator for a living for the past 20+ yrs. But have touched about every peace of equipment since the scraper. It just takes Seat time.
The belly is called a CAN
The nose hook is called a BAIL. Awesome model👍
10 seconds in and I already love it. Love the semis man!!
Lift your gate all the way up and then you can adjust your depth accordingly
Very nice truck 😍 looks even better loaded
It's all very nice 👌
You can actually grade with a scraper really well with belly door closed and slowly knocking down all the high spots and every pass lowering the belly pan a little after each pass
dumb qestion new to rc word just watching videos to learn before i buy on any of these rcs no matter what it is do ya oil or grease the diffs or gears before ya even use them
i work for a construction company in real life and there are 3 scrapers at the shop and they are massive and really cool
Wait I’m out of the loop I guess are y’all not in Canada anymore? And thank you for always doing things interesting can you link the construction rc’s where to purchase. I’m just getting interested in that side instead of the normal nowadays
Never mind just seen the geo tag 🤦😂
Isn't the gate at the front supposed to be raised when scraping?
I need this finished by Fri. HA HA Great playing
Now this is the best way to play with yourself. 😉🤣😂🙂
Wow wow wow...how cool was that when the dozer hooked up and the whole unit worked as one . Wicked as. That really is the coolest rc you have love the scraper.
Frist
Grocery shopping can be an adventure all on its own in Nova Scotia.
My other half didn't understand at first how a complete stranger in the grocery store will have a full blown super friendly 20 minute conversation with you.
7:33 - A beatiful little bee that shows its "appreciation" to this lovely road scraper! :)
I think it was a wasp. Honey bees are necessary, Wasps however are not. Run it over.
looks like you need a biger trailer at the start of the video
Hi Aaron, I know you love nature just as much as I do. It is quite obvious from your videos and also that you do take care of your surroundings and your son's future. I would like to see you signing up to #TeamSeas if you think it is a right cause. Now more than 70% of the channels I follow gave their name to cleaning trash from the seas. It would be lovely to see your channel on this list as well. (Maybe you have done it already?) Sorry if I was too intrusive. Signing up or not I will still enjoy your videos. Keep up the great fun you deliver for all of us here!
Omg did you see the bee taking a ride lmao #rcsparks
Thanks for kickin another episode out.
Looking forward to catching you Sunday.
The little bee on the machine was cool he was just chillin hanging out
The belly is actually called the “can” and the front gate is actually called the “apron” and the plate that pushes all of the material out is called the “ejector”
Really loved this episode - exiting to see the whole fleet coming together! 😃
You have some amazing trucks!! Thanks for sharing!!
Where can I buy and how expensive
Would like it more if you eat cookies.
this was what i was dreaming of when i was a little boy pushing the tonka's around my sand pile. keep up the great content sir!
This is exactly what I remember doing also!! What a neat experience now , in the future.
Hate to say it but if your push puller scraper gets stuck?? That mean you need two.. push puller? Haha
Man i love loading kings one of my favorite shows along with G.O.L.D and UA-cam gold i still love rewatching them all for some good lmao #rcsparks
Just love the content and seeing that you're enjoying life like I should be RC Nation going hard Tranquility Harmony meditation peace of mind keep up the good work like always you been doing it for years With Friends and family enjoying the hobby wishing the best to your family from my family all the way down here Houston Texas rock out with your RC out
That don’t look like a kobelco, I’m watching anyway 😎👍
Kobelco was donated to my Father! It's in good hands
@@TheRealRCSparksKobelco is jewelry for Men , basically equivalent to a Rolex ! 😂
Big Johnson get the tracks fixed yet ? 🤭That’s another beautiful build .👍
Just an idea.
you’re from nova scotia too?
is it me or did it look like the roller was spinning the wrong direction@ looked like it was rotating backwards when you were going forwards?
We have a 1970s push scraper
Dude! If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to CN for vacation and hanging with you for a week… if that’s cool. Do some work and 😮💨!
Keep ‘em coming!
Wow a complicated machine to run, but hell fun learning......SUPER COOL
That is Crazy The Push/Pull Scraper Where Did U Buy That I WANT ONE I'm A Field Service Heavy Equipment Mechanic 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why every time skipping a video UA-cam send you to another channel video?🤨🤔
They suck i think it’s rigged
PUSH lol push the scraper . front door = apron. single scrapers are awesome on road jobs because they are so damn fast don't need to hook them up or push them . but yeah in sand you probably do. front hook = bail hook hooks on to the rear of another scraper if it has the hook to catch it. need a soil compactor like and 815 or 825 or 826 would be awesome and a padfoot roller to go with the smooth drum . and of course u need a water cart too. love your stuff man so good to see you looking healthier and the weather looks amazing
Love watching your videos. SPARKS. Learning from your videos. GOT MY 24SCALE CRAWLERS going an course up. Still Improving but really fun.
That is one of the sweetest things I have seen in RC great job.
Nice work ⛟
I watched every one of your Loading Kings. So much fun to watch 🤩
We’re all definitely living through you bro! That shit looks like so much fun! I’m into rc crawling but dammit man that looks like a fucking blast!
Fantásticas máquinas, es un gozo verlas trabajar... good video bro
I thought you said, "If you wanna leave a comment, blow me" HAHAHA either way works for me
More often I see those scrapper trucks in where a new neighbourhood is being built. They scrape off the top soil then sell it back the home buyers! LOL!
Two channels that take me into a land of fun with toys; RCSparks Studio and 3Dbotmaker.
Oh cool I love that old globeliner. It's been a minute since I seen it from loading kings loading wars 💯💪👍🤘😎
Hi bro love the content
International cabover front end, Kenworth aerodyne sleeper top, Freightliner aluminum wheels. Where didchya find these R/C heavy equipment scraper, trackhoe, roller, & buldozer vehicles??? Awesome video!
That's cool I operate scrapers for a living, you should try putting your dozer behind it, we that push cat
Practice practice practic, hell medic, 95% of us watching haven't done this either, I'll guarantee we're still watching your video, only wish you had bigger sand pile to work on, so your roads aren't 6 foot long!! Love your videos, this equipment are awesome!!
Hands down best RC content on UA-cam!!! Keep on keeping on brother
Hi great, show.
But ur a smart dude, it wont be long and u will be a professional with it. Like everything else we touch. Cool video and rigs. Keep the vids coming 👍
Hells ya best tyme 2get the best toyz out.. When they go 2shop haha.. Bro that looks fun as hell.. Them guyz all got some weight 2em?? Ok u said it lol.. People alwayz wantin 2tell some how 2do it when u doin just bad @$$..Luvit brother keep it up thnx
Medic I noticed you didn't have your inlet door open on the scraper well in the sand box that might have been your issue with collecting the dirt ......been a long time fan of the page 10 plus years......back when I got in to crawlers ....glad to hear ya moved to nova Scotia....I just recently moved here aswel
