Some amazing shots there. I`m born and bred here, grew up in Caryl Gardens in the south end, opposite The Southern Hospital. Times were hard but boy did we have some happy times and our neighbors were fantastic people. How times change.
My Nans house @30 seconds , Skirving st, end of Scottie, just see the garage (which became Williams BMW). Still remember the Coke machine in there , the original shape bottles and the cap opener hanging from the side
the fifties were the magic times for Liverpool , Liverpudlians ( not the hated word scousers ) And the wonderful !!! CUNARD YANKS !!! brought so much class to my beloved city . Jimmy poss
Your first photo of the five guys in suits is Strand, London. Apart from the London bus and the sign saying Burleigh Street, the church in the background is St Mary le Strand. Is that why you put the question mark in the title?
@@robertdraper5782 Yes it is The Undertakers. A very talented Merseyside group of the 1960s who did not quite have the success that others did. I saw them a few times at The Cavern and their live performance was excellent. There is a CD compilation of their recordings called Unearthed which should still be available on Amazon
If time travel existed I would love to go back to those days fantastic memories.

It still is.
Everton had a great team in the 60's....💙
This is the city I remember, that was before I left for other pastures

Most of it demolished of course, even unique buildings such as the Sailors Home and many others
Really?
Canning Street?
Some photos from late 40s & early 50s especially some on Church St (outside of Woolworths) & Odeon cinema late 50s judging by the cars
Made me sad!
What has a shot of the Partridge Family an American TV show (featuring David Cassidy) 2:29 - got do with Liverpool in the 60’s???
I'm afraid Liverpool like the rest of the UK is finished, our glorious politicians have seen to this by importing diverse culturally enriched guests.
Some of these look like the 50's or earlier
"Part of the union". "Keep the red flag flying here" is this supposed to represent the scousers as militants?
This is all Liverpool has. Looking back. Sad.

I believe those five blokes in the suits are a Merseybeat group called the Undertakers.
@@robertdraper5782 Well spotted; I had no idea who they were.

Militant anthems, "dead grotty" to borrow a George Harrison phrase.
The Partridge Family? Am I missing something?
Where’s the Beatles??
Keep the RED flag flying high
Don't like the commie song, we are not all for labour in Liverpool yknow.
