An affordable recreation of the Foxx Tone Machine? I think so - right down to the exterior design and of course including the velvet cover. In this video I'm playing through the octave / fuzz pedal with three of my favorite guitars: a Fano TC6 (Telecasterish), a Fender custom shop Stratocaster, and a PRS McCarty (Les Paul-style). You'll hear all of the control at all positions, and I'll highlight a few of my favorite tones.

Great review. Though I must say I prefer the fuzz tones I get from my, ultra cheap, TC Electronic Rusty Fuzz. Admittedly, I have never been a big fan of fuzz pedals. They have their place in history. I go for cleaner tones, with string definition, more along the lines of good drive pedals.

Does it suck bass on a bass?

Maybe get a Danelectro French Toast? It’s from the guy who invented the Foxx Tone machine who bought Danelectro, I’m pretty sure. 🤘🏻

I have both (the Dano and the Warm audio) - side by side, they are REALLY close! The Warm Audio has a bit more depth and a bit more touch dynamics - but both sound great ... and both are totally unpractical 😁

I guess it must not clean up when reducing volume on the guitar, because I didn't see that demonstrated. Thumbs down.

I did do that on both the strat and PRS samples, just watch. It’s a fuzz though, not an overdrive. It cleans up slightly, but ends up kind of dull sounding.

@@AlexPriceMusician Thanks for responding. I got tired of hearing almost the same tone and starting skipping ahead, never heard the cleaned-up-fuzz tone I get from my Germanium SunFace. But my SunFace doesn't have the rough square wave sound this Fuzz has, so it does provide something different.

It’s not a great sound IMO so I got off of it pretty quick. This type of fuzz doesn’t have a ton of versatility like others. It does that one thing pretty well and other sounds just seemed sputzy and undefined.
My words aren’t meant as a criticism of the pedal or company, just that with this kind of pedal not all combinations of settings sound good. It’s cool for what it does do though.
