Sadly Whanau’s propensity to be a poorly behaved lush has overshadowed that little bit of totally hypocritical green behaviour.
Andy almost said it - but not quite - she is now stuck in an iron triangle: delusionally invested in a job she can't be fired from, not able to perform to requirements in the role, and significant public scrutiny., some of which is adverse.
Therefore this is not going away. IT CAN'T. As a ratepayer I think this is a legitimate concern.
She can no longer perform in role, attention isn't going away, and she can't get well without radical life changes.

Very interesting to look at supportive comments for the Wellington Mayor on her IG account. Plenty of excuses and sympathy because she's Maori. They seem to think it's perfectly acceptable for her to have a drinking problem and be Mayor of a capital city and there is the problem. Public office. Unbelievable.

Attention Deputy Primister Winston Peters. I wish to push my agenda on the Marsden Point rebuild as we need our petrochemical production if we are going to be a first-world country. All food in our supermarkets and roading has a fossil fuel element to it. I would push for China to be the contractor in this endeavor as they have a successful professional and proven track record of quality infrastructure projects internationally, on time, and within budget. We need a sober view of China's human rights issues that are falsely claimed to be by Western propaganda. China respects the sovereignty of all nations The US bombs and China builds! China wants to trade not war and will be the dominant economic superpower.

Totally agree. NZ can no longer achieve much. We rely heavily on overseas countries, particularly Asian. It's a sad indictment against us that we have slipped as far as we have, and are now a far cry from where we once were.

If you want to talk about facts and propaganda then could you stop the pro Israeli propaganda that you spout and offer some perspective of the Palestinians and address why amnesty international have released multiped reports over multiple decades which have highlighted the apartheid regime that Israel has created, as the head of the UN has said the Palestinian attack on Israel didn't happen in a vacuum.

On this topic I strongly agree. However the Platform is just one media outlet that is not covering Israeli and Palestine conflict's fully and it is the one topic where truth and objectivity tend to go AWOL quickly for everyone in media (both mainstream & alternative), big tech, social media etc. I don't believe the UN is free from some of the lack of responsibility in calling out the events leading up to 7 Oct (which was caught early by several intelligence services, CIA and Egyptian were just two of them). In my opinion (and it is only my opinion) the real problem is between Zionism and Terrorism, which is a self perpetuating ecosystem that benefits those involved (including other nations such as the US and UK) and harms those outside of that ecosystem. This is not a war between Israel and Palestine, although they are the victims of Zionist and Terrorist actions, particularly those in Gaza.
