From her own words. "I paused Green party membership”. “I ran as independent, and I am still independent”. Then when pressed, “I was a member of the Green party when I ran”.

Well, I'm glad that I viewed this and thanks to Nick Mills & Newstalk ZB for conducting this interview. I would not trust Torrey Canyon Whanau as far as I throw her. In spite of the fact that most rate payers did not want the Golden Mile project she has ignored their opinion and is proceeding because she "campaigned" on it. She completely lost any credibility she may have had over her evasive answers about the Reading Cinema deal. Over the last 3 years Wgton rates have increased by more than 40%; the council continues t6o spend on NON ESSENTIAL projects rather than concentrating on keeping basic infrastructure maintained. Her resignation would be a blessing.

I know a Kiwi family who have worked offshore and want to come back to NZ to live with around $10 mill for property and business investment.
Explaining the nation-wide difficulties with local government (city councils and mayors) is challenging, mainly because they can’t believe the risks I am informing them of could possibly be real.

Invest back into NZ for sure - but you need to go in with eyes very wide open, and be prepared for delays due to regulation, and consent, and cost overruns.

She must go & as soon as possible....
The rest of the country is not responsible for Labour taking on thousands of bureaucrats, Wellington can keep that problem, because by and large kiwis can't afford to pay for so much idealism from people who know nothing of how the rural sector has to sort out the Balance of Payments while cities bleat towards utopia without exporting bugger all. The profit margin is ripped away. The taxpayers want compliance to take a step back so profitability can actually exist. Maybe adjust the tax system because these bureaucrats imagine they are paying tax, when they're really paid by taxes.
