How to travel Paros, Greece? Paros has been voted Europe's best island of 2020 by Travel + Leisure and I absolutely understand why! Paros was my favourite Greek island I visited this summer, and in this travel vlog I show you my experience exploring Naoussa (Naousa) the norther part of Paros, running to Kolymbithres beach, eating delicious traditional Greek food in the port & overall enjoying this beautiful island!

I’m from Paros and I go there every year! You never get sick of it and if you go you don’t wanna leave…that’s a fact…! We’re so blessed that people from other countries say all these nice things for our island Paros💙🫂💫
Also you have to to Paros go around the 15th of August when our island celebrates 💙then it has many people also🫂
Which restaurants are authentic?
Do you recommend staying in Naoussa or Parikia? Which has the best beaches and where is it easier to go to Antiparos?
As a Greek I feel so blessed to have travelled and experienced the small, local, traditional islands. Don't get me wrong, Mykonos and Santorini were beautiful when I went there but as a comparison I would always choose the small traditional islands, not only for their beautiful beaches, but for their people the locals, food and their islands specialties, culture as in museums, historic mansions etc., traditional elements as in clothing or natural products. Each and every one of them are so different, and the people always so welcoming. Hence I call it experience of travelling. Would love to give a tour when you come back next year.
Hello, are there are authentic restaurants you recommend in Athens or Crete? Also, what are some good places to visit to see natural fabric and clothing?

It's just so unassuming and amazing! The quiet (especially in mid-May) and food and local culture is just unbeatable - Paros has our hearts in Greece - we stayed in Naoussa. I love how she said "connect"...We went to Paros, Antiparos, Naxos, Milos, Santorini, Athens, and we just connected with Paros :)
which were your top 3 places? I'm looking at going to paros and naxos for 2 weeks.
@@ayumelove 1) Paros (be sure to take a quad to Antiparos for the day - the oldest cave in Europe is there 45M years) 2) Milos for the beaches!! (be SURE to take a day long catamaran outing to get to all the extra amazing ones!!!) 3) Santorini is damn amazing but $$$$!!! (but worth it for maybe two nights) OR Athens! (although the food is as good unless you really look and if you go to Athens DEFINITELY take a day trip to Delphi!!!!)

Hi Kaja, thanks for a great video. Can I ask how’s the cost in Paros, such as food, drinks? I’ve read some travel blogs, they claim that Paros is the third most expensive island after Santorini and Mykonos. At least it’s not cheap like other neighbour islands.
The Greek Islands are usually a pretty economical place to vacation if you get away from the big names like Mykonos and Santorini. Paros is developing a reputation as a great place that isn't too deluged with tourists yet. I'd like to visit Corfu as well, have not been there yet. Interesting story on the first hotel you stayed at on Paros, first impressions usually are a good indication. I've had to cancel my stay at a hotel a few times due to that 'Uh oh.' feeling and it's usually a good idea to follow your instincts and go someplace else. In every case when I did it I ended up at a much nicer hotel and had a great time. Life is too short to put up with anything less than a happy place to stay. 🙂
Paros could have a new ambassador who is already promoting it well. Hope that becomes true and Kaja is that ambassador. Keep up the good work and travel tips also.

awesome video, next time try to go to more beaches, like monastiri mikri santa maria etc because the whole island i could say is a beach . Also you can make a daily trip to antiparos which is a 5 min sailing. I am sure that paros has to show you more. Funny thing, i was also there relaxing the same period

By far No. You might not liked Corfu but there are more Ionian islands like Cephallonia that if you explore them and hit its beaches you will be astonished. It has any type of beach you can imagine a cave lake (Mellisani) a huge Cave (Drogarati) that has hosted concerts a mountain so high like Crete’s biggest mountain with wild horses and goats. A castle with awesome views (Assos). One of the most picturesque village you have ever laid eyes on (Fiskardo).Has a beach voted as best in Europe 3 consecutive years and one of the best in Europe all time (Myrtos beach). On its main port you can see Carreta- Carreta turtles. Some miles south of its second biggest city has a British submarine wreck ( HMS Perseus) from which a guy managed to escape from 52 meters of depth without any apparatus.

1. Comparison between Santorini and Paros it's like the one between Venice and Padova (just to mention one) ...
that means the place you like and must see versus the place you would choose to live.
2. The coffee price it's a long Greek story. We tend to stay for hours to one place and that overpriced the situation (versus the Italian price style: they quickly drink it and leave)
3. As for story of the Cold North working people .... it’s the same with the Warm South working people:
the only difference in your sentece " ... they basically work all year long to save up moneyand then just COME to a place like THIS..." is the word COME to a STAY so Greeks " ... they basically work all year long to save up money and then just STAY to a place like GREECE..."

The one she visited at 15:00 is Fotis Bar! But if you are referring to the one in 9:00, I'm not sure, might be Sousouro!
