For those who longed for this track of shakedown with the guitar rift that kicks it off, I'm jumping on your bandwagon of agreement. This should be released and remastered as a bonus track on CD.
I was eight when this came out and this was my song as a kid. I watched MTV all day long to hear this song. I'm here because I'm an eighties child and lived it.... No thumbs up because I heard it off of family guy or some shit tv program they have running today.
That's Lisa Eilbacher, she was the chick who played Casey Seger on Officer and A Gentleman, she was the one who had a hard time gettin' over the wall on the obstacle course if you saw that film, yeah she is a gorgeous vixen especially in that shot of her with Eddie Murphy in this video, HUBBA, HUBBA, HUBBA.
This version is so much better than what's on the official soundtrack CD album. What is it that's different? I just can't work it out but it just FEELS so much more powerful. Anyone know? The car engine revving at the start makes a difference obviously. Anything else?
Happened to me back in the 90s with the mortal kombat album. Pisses me off there's a "movie version" of a song. Why else would someone buy the soundtrack than to hear that very version?

To all you New York Yankees fans: This was the #1 song in the USA when Jose Ortegano came into the world (August 5, 1987).
Top movie and that blond wow.

This DEFINITELY is way better, the guitar intro adds some SERIOUS BALLS TO IT.

YOU ARE ALL GOING DOWN
this is much better but it's still edited differently for how it sounds on the intro.
Drive Carefully
I bought this soundtrack, and I was massively pissed that this version wasn't on the CD.

Ace Song In Ace Movie.
We could use a guy like Axle Foley in Detroit right about now.
Yeah he's got that unique laugh 😎
Every time I hear this song I think of the Ferrari Eddie was in.
Yo soy más loco que un marrano en el lodo con esta song

Got to take my Ferrari 328 GTS out of storage. Once again, it's time!!
