I live in Germany where currently everything is cold and grey so I appreciate the view into your garden in full summer bloom even more. So please keep up with the garden setup
I love the little background noise we hear in your podcasts :)) It makes it feel a bit more personal (and love hearing the birds sing when where I'm living it's deep winter😅)
what a gorgeous year of knits, Sarah! my Book Club Cardigan is my favorite knit of the year as well, and the KAL was such an amazing journey to be apart of 🤎
Hi, watching your channel for a year or so, when I started knitting. I really like your style - the patterns and colous you choose. The Eva Cardingan is perfect and I think since it doesnt have the buttons, I like the lenght also. Thank you for being my inspiration. Looking forward to more in 2025! Have great year! Lots of love from freezing Czech Republic 🙂
Love the Standard Beanie Unit. All your makes are gorgeous. Totally agree with you on the purchasing yarn specifically for a project. It usually makes for a much better and more worn FO. Thanks for a great podcast. So glad i found you guys this year. Looking forward to more in 2025. :)
beautiful work!! i’m glad you’re proud and happy with what you’ve made. and thank you for filming in your garden - it really adds to the peace and familiarity i find in your videos. much love!!
Your colorwork sweater actually really suits you color wise- much more so than the orange sweater. I too am finding that buying yarn for a project rather than working out of stash makes a better project. But I still have a goal to use stash this year.
I love your garden, the flowers and the birds singing! Keep going to your enjoyable spot…. as it cheers you, it cheers us too (I’m sure i speak for many). 😊. The orange sweater is a great color on you in my opinion.. would be worth modifying, or turning into another pattern you like better.
I love that you are so happy with your knits. I have a Monday Sweater I made in July with the perfect yarn and am hugging it and checking it in the mirror every time I wear it! A good sweater just does that to you.
Thank you for sharing your knitting adventures. Your makes are lovely. Maybe undo the rib on the pea cardigan and add button holes. It looks great on you 😀
Thanks so much for your review and honesty about your knits. I too realized in 2024 that I’d rather make fewer things but love and wear what I do make more. I’m taking more time with yarn selection and with swatching and choosing sizes to make sure I get what I want in the end and it’s been paying off. As I watched I was knitting on a just begun 4-ply colorwork sweater that will take a while but I’m excited to make it.
Your excitement is so contagious and beautiful to see! The Jules Genser is STUNNING. I agree it’s a bit “ladylike”, but I think with a cool pair of jeans and trainers or sandals, it could look very boho-chic too. I think the colour suits you! You are very right to gush and feel proud. I think it’s safe to say we are all delighted with you and love that feeling ourselves. 😊 The birds. ❤❤❤
You have done so many fantastic knits in 2024. One of my favorites is Kikas playful palette, and I absolutely love your colors. You are so brutally honest when you assess your knits - and it looks like you have learned so much during your 2024 knits and what suits you and your lifestyle. Thank you for pointing out Peer Gynt as a yarn to use. One of my goals next year is to use PG in at least in 2 sweaters, and Im currently working on a julegenser in tynn per gynt at the moment and love that. Thank you for letting me into your knitting journey
Beautiful, beautiful knitted garments. So far I've only knit hats, and this sort of reinforces my thinking. It would be awful to spend a lot of time and money, only to not really want to wear the end result. I'd have to be SO much better before taking that chance.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful 2024 knits. I love the green cardigan on you as it is but if you want to give it a winter workout, I'd be happy to foster it up here at 47.6580° N until April. ;-) Also, I'm a fan of the outdoor filming. Your mention of jacarandas made me homesick for my youth in San Diego, California. Finally, I'm looking forward to Paige's return. You two are such a joy to watch. I hope you have a great holiday season. Best to you in 2025.
Great job! I like the idea of evaluating things in terms of how many adult beanie units. I am a process knitter, and find that the hardest thing is to choose just the right yarn for the right project. If you feel the you won't wear the sweater that you had to put all of the elastic "fixes" in, as painful as it seems, frog it and make it or something else into something you will love. If something is not a color you think you look great in, put a collar or scarf with it to put a different color next to your face. Happy Holidays to you and Paige!
What gems you have created. Now I am taking a second look st Stick Season again, but this time with different yarns. I think I will like it better in a darker color. Great to discuss the goods and bads in a sweater and how you use it. Helps all of us deciding on our next sweater(s)!
Lovely collection! The zipper sweater is my fave. I love the length of the green cardigan! Before you alter anything, try challenging yourself to style it first! I think it's lovely. You can always add buttonholes using a sewing machine (or by hand sewing) if you want them :)
Thanks as always for a lovely video! You should absolutely be proud of what you've created and the choices you've made! I am taking a lesson from your 2024 and starting the projects I want for Autumn now, especially the finer ones. I look forward to lots of videos from you and Paige in 2025!
That Eva cardigan suits you so much! Lovely colour! I also agree with the fingering weight projects, I live in a place where summer lasts basically for half a year, so there is probably less than 3 months when I can wear my DK weight sweaters...
Haha it's so hard to repress the urge to make super wooly things or summer knits, but common sense says it'll never be the right weather for them. Thanks so much 💚
Happy Holidays to you and Paige! ❤ And, omg, the Beanie Unit! As a math/analysis nerd, I *adore* this idea. The parameters make sense to me, based on my own kitting experience. I'm looking forward to playing with it prior to starting my next sweater. 😊
Thanks for sharing your knits. I think you might get used to the Eva cardigan as it is. I would wait before trying to alter it. And you could do an afterthought buttonhole if you really need them. I love the idea of more intentional, time consuming knits. I love fingering weight sweaters and don’t mind the time they take because I wear them so much. At this point, I do t need any more sweaters - I just want to knit more sweaters.
There is a school of thought that says if you wear colours that match your skin tone it does also work for you. I think.you have done that with many of those garments. For the green cardigan, can you do steeked buttonholes? Light snaps? Reduce sleeves to be less slouchy overall? Counter balance with high waisted pleted formal work pants?
I am so interested to hear that you love your Dartmoor pullover, as I have plans to start one myself very soon. And regarding your choice of color: would you consider dying it? Perhaps if you have some of the yarn left over you could knit a swatch and try dying that first to see how the speckles behave with the dye. I have never dyed a hand knit garment, but have watched a few videos of people who have with very nice results. Just an idea. 🙂

😂except I kept thinking it was MY dog barking!😂 But the bird song… so beautiful and sorely missed in the northern hemisphere just now.
😂😂
Glad to bring a little sunshine to you 🌞🥰

Hey lovely, thanks so much. Looking forward to yours as well :D
Thanks for sharing all your knits with us Sara! They were all so lovely and your playful palette sweater just hooks me every time i see it!! 💛
Thank you so much! That one is definitely a favourite 💚💚

Good job, Sarah! I love all your knits in 2024! I'm definitely looking forward to all your knitting plans in 2025.❤🧶
Thank you 💚💚

Thank you, it really is in its prime in summer ☺️

I think that's the hard thing to communicate, that absolute joy and pride in something you made that you love so much ❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing your knitting adventures. Your makes are lovely. Maybe undo the rib on the pea cardigan and add button holes. It looks great on you 😀

Ooo that’s gonna be beautiful! Thanks so much for the kind words 🥰
Omg! Eva cardigan looks gorgeous 💚 amazing idea to knit in the round and then steek it 🎉
Thanks 😁💚
SO HYPED! Love an end of year roundup! Loved following y'alls journey this year. PS that Jules genser is probably the prettiest thing I've ever seen
Thanks chicka 🥰🥰

I don't know, there's plenty of patterns out there that are simple to knit but really nice to wear. Don't underestimate yourself 😛
Sarah! These are so amazing! The green cardigan is so good! I love the length on you 😊I’m looking forward to seeing what you create in the new year.
Thanks so much lovely 💚

All so beautiful! But the color of that Eva Cardigan and that style is my favorite.
Thanks lovely 💚
Amazing collection Sarah. Looking forward to seeing you and Paige reunite in 2025. ❤
Thanks 😁

This is true, I think I'll give them a go. Thanks lovely 💚
I love your color combination for Kutovakikas Sweater. It’s perfect!
Thank you ❤️❤️ I kinda can’t believe it worked out as well as it did 😂

Haha, it's got me thinking that I should be doing the same...
That Eva cardigan suits you so much! Lovely colour!

Haha it’s a certain sort of nerd that gets joy out of this. Welcome to the club 😛
Great review Sarah. My favourite is also the Book club cardigan, it’s gorgeous on you. Don’t you love it when yarn and pattern combination works ❤
When the combination is perfect it just sings ❤️

Haha sounds very familiar. I just need to rememebr this crazy pile of knits when I'm getting impatient with my fine knits... 🫠
Your delicate butter, yellow Blau usee looks incredible on you. You should wear it more often and you can feel delicate in it.
Thanks lovely 🥰

Ooo that is a good point, if it was only light it might not affect the speckles too
