House is just interesting to learn about, so I generally side with him. Meanwhile, we've got the NCR falling apart at the seams and Caesar's Legion just being murderous, slave-holding assholes that I've never once sided with (well, okay, long enough to get the key to the Lucky Shades, then I immediately backstabbed them). Had the Brotherhood not been reduced to a single bunker just barely clinging to life, they probably could have been a major player in the battle for Hoover Dam too, but Elijah kind of fucked that opportunity at Helios One. The Khans lack the numbers, weapons, and territory to compete, the Fiends are all stoned off their asses and barely even count, and the Boomers only really want to blow shit up indiscriminately. Oh, and the Followers are just a group of nomadic doctors from the Boneyard and have no standing military to speak of. Sure, he's an uber-capitalist, but House is generally my favorite long-term stability option for New Vegas. Why Benny even wanted to betray him kind of baffles me when, reasonably speaking, being House's No. 2 would basically be the cushiest job _ever._
Mr house is like a dictator in that he makes all the decision but he won’t meddle with anyone else business as long as you aren’t against his plans 6:22 those are actually the nukes that turned the world into an apocalypse Mr house is actually over 200 years old (with the power of technology) and when the bombs started dropping was able to shoot down most of the bombs (that’s what’s being shown on screen) dropping on vegas which is why the buildings were not destroyed 6:45 these are the three families (chairmen, white gloves, Omertas) which are tribals that Mr house made a deal with that they could live as long as they work for him (each family controls a casino on the strip)
Well in terms of currency right. In Fallout caps are used because like, without factories producing them they are common enough to be found all over the Fallout world but also very very difficult to counterfeit since the machines to make them are broken. That's why gold has a value, it's a weak metal but also rare and can't be produced other than mining it. You might be interested in watching some Fallout lore videos. House is one of 3 factions, the others are New California Republic who are large but are bogged down with the same problems as current politics and Legion who are Roman cosplaying slavers. You can hear them all out and side with who you agree with or you can assume control of everything yourself. Legion are the bad guys in my opinion, with the only good part to them is trading is safe from raiders in Legion controlled areas which NCR has problems with as they are streched too thin. There is a decade long discussion over which side is right.
When I killed Mr. House i felt guilty because of the note that appears in your Pip Boy saying that you basically fucked up with the chance of Vegas become a stable and prosper place
It unleashes a mob of robots that mr house is storing, or if benny uses the platinum chip he'll destroy Vegas in a way. If you decide to kill Mr. House you need the platinum chip. Spoiler: hes a real person who is over 200 years old
@@maferris87 gonig into a bit of spoilers. the Chip is actually a Data Storage Device, it contains software upgrades ot the system's of the Lucky 38's missile defense systems(House's Casino and base of operations) and an updated Operating system for his robot Army the Securitrons. house was supposed ot have received this Chip back before the bombs dropped because in his prediction he expected nuclear coflict within 15 years and made preparations for it,,turn out his predction was off by 20 hours(he was meant ot have recived the chip a day before the vombs dropped) because he lacked the chip and the associated upgrades he had ot make due with an older vrsion of his OS which was still enough to disable and shoot down the vast majority of the nukes meant ot Target Vegas and the surrounding Area(House effectively saved Nevada even if it wssds not the performance he wanted) but the strain this placed on his system placed him in a coma for the next few decades due ot buggy software and issues with power. after he managed ot recover and get some semblance of control he hired teams for the folloing century to arecover the Chip(it survived) and the game starts as we a courier were set on a job ot deliver said chip...but got intercepted(this is because the way the chip is emant ot interact with house's systems creates a small gap where a savyy party could exploit in order ot take over the entire network house Manages, and whoever has this network controls the Securitrons which is a n army large enough ot dominate Vegas and the mojave) .
btw, in your video at this mark, it sets out your options on who to side with, tho the benny one (the lucky guy who shoots you in the head for you to practically crawl out of the grave to hunt him down...that kinda sounds like a both a cool horror movie and an equally cool action movie) you basically take over from, im not 100% you can outright side with him...considering you can't take my general approach and set up to side with 1 or 2 factions to make getting an ending (should a few get cut off by unforeseen events) easier
"That's Asteroids, right?" That's Missile Command! Left to right, I see San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge), Seattle (Space Needle), Las Vegas (Strip), Mt. Rushmore, Chicago? (Sears Tower?), St. Louis (Gateway Arch), Washington (Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, an Capitol), and New York City (Statue of Liberty). The Game Gear reference at the end? Wonderful! Loved it. Nintendo didn't catch up until GBA. Also: thank you for pausing and giving reactions throughout. I vastly prefer that style to just watching and talking over the video.
all cash is invented.. bottlecaps makes relative sense, they are in short supply but there is always some more.. (betha fucked that up) bottlecaps were just decided as something relatively stable. it could of been topacco or old milk.. bottlecaps are easy to transfer, and again, limited supply.. makes as much sense as any other currency, even in real life..
actually from what I know the NCR and Caesar's legion don't use bottle caps NCR -> Paper Money Caesar's legion -> Special coins I just wanted to tell you cause I feel you'd find it interesting. EDIT: also if you liked this check out Dan Bull, amazing gaming rapper
They do use bottle caps but it's a secondary currency, if you want to trade with anyone outside of the NCR, you won't use NCR dollars, and you won't use Denarii when trading with someone outside the Legion, it's a currency that works only in their nations because that's the only place where it has any worth
Thanks for another great reaction! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
🙏🙏🙏
i love your raps!
House is one of the four factions you can side with in the game kinda the neutral option but he is undoubtedly my favorite.
He is the Lawful Neutral option I'd say, whilst Yes Man would be True Neutral

6:22 It is missile command. Both are Atari games, so you were kinda close. Such mixups can happen to everyone though XD
Thanks for the correction!
That is right but in fallout 4 that is one of the minigames you can play on your pip-boy so the version in the video is the one in fallout 4.
I like this rap a lot. reality ensues indeed

Benny is the main person you (courier) have somethings to settle after he shot you in the head to steal the platinum chip
What does the platinum chip do?

Just_Ferris you should play fallout New Vegas on your channel. I'll guide you if you do! Its hella fun
