    I love the frog pose. When i first started to do it, it felt almost orgasmic with the waves of energy blockages that were being released in the hip and groin areas. Its amazing.

    Ooh the leg circles are great for showing just how much mobility is possible once you've loosened up! Great explanations and wow didn't even know I was making a couple mistakes, thanks teach!

      @@puercoespineta As you start to get more mobile, your joints start to move more. Popping or cracking noises could just be a gas in the joints that pop when you move. So if that doesn’t hurt, then it’s totally normal. It’s just showing you that you are increasing the mobility in your joints. Don’t worry, it will get better with practice. Please continue doing the exercise with bent knees until you feel more comfortable. Please note that if you feel pain when it pops and/or if you have to pop it in order to get a certain range of motion, then there might be a problem and you might need to consult a doctor ❤

    Ive been 3 inches from the ground on my frog stretch for 3 months now. feels like if i go any further my hips will dislocate from the sockets. Favorite stretch though!

      To modify the frog pose, you can try a high-V straddle on your back or a seated single leg straddle until you get more comfortable. Also, one of our favorite middle split exercises is the flunge - half froggy / half lunge. All these modifications target the same area but in a different way.
      Also, your bony structure can possibly be a limiting factor. In this case, your hip bones are limited (by their shape) which is very common. If you have any amount of femoral anteversion (thigh bones twist to point in more than average, very common and nbd) or deeper hip sockets (more coverage of femoral heads by the acetabulum) that would cause limitations in this position. You would need special tests and imaging to confirm these so it’s just something to keep in mind. If it’s painful, don’t push into it, but if it’s not painful there’s no concern really, just manage your expectations and keep moving forward! Hope this helps ❤

      @@stretchitapp Thanks alot for the tips. Liked and subscribed by the way. I started stretching and doing the frog pose and it took almost a year to get all the way down.. The way some folks bone structure is set prohibits a full split regardless of how limber you are like you said. I will try the method you prefered and chime back in to let you know the results. Nice channel by the way, your stretching videos have been beneficial.

    Does this help gait mobility? And is the end result to be fully flat on the ground?

    • @stretchitapp
      @stretchitapp  Рік тому +1

      Frog Pose is a great stretch for opening your hips and alleviating back pain, which can be definitely beneficial for your gait. In the full Frog Pose, you are supposed to lie fully flat on the ground 🙂
