  • All over, films are underperforming at the box office, but no one is quite sure why. The stories are as relatable as ever, the production is more spectacular than ever, yet so many films find themselves in a slump they can’t get out of. ‘Fighter’ director Siddharth Anand has a theory why his film fought and lost at the box office: 90% of Indians have never been in a fighter jet and just can’t relate. Ok, that’s all well and good, but how does that explain other films?

I got your agenda of demeaning very meaningful movies like "The Kashmir Files" and "Kerala Story" which are based on true facts and which resonate with the huge audiences.
