I am so thrilled that there is finally more medical acknowledgment for TSW. My young adult son (24 yrs old) has been in tsw for 2 years now and my earnest wish and prayer is that the medical industry will continue researching and get to understand this condition, find solutions so that thousands upon thousands of sufferers can get the much needed help they need. Thank you for this informative interview🙏❤️
You're so welcome! I'm so sorry that your son has been going through TSW for 2 years now. I know how hard it is and I hope you're able to find something to help him. I hope he feels better soon as well. ❤
Where are all the settlements $$$, for us patients who were told to keep applying unsafe amounts of steroids to our skin... that directly contradicted the known research and literature on safe steroid use at the time... who went through burning hell for several years and couldn't even be approved for disability when they couldn't even stand up or bathe themselves? Where's all of my savings spent on daily bottles of moisturizer, so much so that CVS was literally stocking up just for me, or all the medical visits and creams etc. costs from the damage of abusing steroids with doctors looking me in the eyes telling me there was nothing to worry about over and over again? Covering our bodies in unsafe strong steroids every single day for years...I want accountability Pfizer.
Informative for eczema but the title is a bit misleading-the cause of TSW is the body’s dependency on the use of topical steroids. It is an iatrogenic condition caused by pharmaceutical drugs.
I am 54 years old and just getting over TSW and I’ve never had eczema. For it from using steroid cream for two weeks for a rash from Virginia creeper ( a vining plant). As well as being on oral prednisone for a month. I also got cellulitis on my face and legs and ended up in the hospital with IV steroids and antihistamines. The TSW started about a month after stopping the steroid cream. I had all the symptoms as well. I documented my experience through pictures.
Not sure about TSW. I have sever AD since birth. I have never used steroids and when I see pictures people who say they have severe TSW it looks exactly like my eczema when it flares all over the body…. I think it’s just what their eczema would have looked like if they never used steroids. I have all the symptoms of TSW that you mentioned and I have never used steroids. I think there is not many people to put in the study that never used steroids and have all over AD like me… Still I never use steroids!!!
Steroids are in many products, foods. Milk products supply about 60-80% of ingested female sex steroids.tablets and liquids - such as prednisolone. inhalers - such as beclometasone and fluticasone. nasal sprays - such as beclometasone and fluticasone. injections (given into joints, muscles or blood vessels) - such as methylprednisolone. creams, lotions and gels - such as hydrocortisone for skin. Heck even hemorrhoid cream.
In canada it takes about 9 months to get a dermatologist appointment im glad youtube got me off steriod creams. I just use the thickest moisturizer after cold showers. I also got a water softner and red light. I dont use the red light now that im cured though. I was so bad last year i gave up all sports now i out 4 days week !
I think the red light helped but I'm not sure. It definitely won't hurt imo. I take cool showers and moisturize like crazy afterwards. I'm guessing trudeau doesn't wait 9 months for a doctor but who knows eh?
@@etemytradel4509 Just started using the light today. What else are/where you doing to recover? I'm doing carnivore+blue berries and supplements with like 20 things misc TSW folks recommend. Was using 2.5% hydrocortisone for like 35 years. What got you cream got you into this mess? How long were you in a flared up state before things calmed down?
I had a good collection of creams that used to work. I didn't start on my diet but eliminating items would have been next for me. I think the cool showers and thick moisturizer was the most important for me. Oh I use moisturizer instead of soap to shower.
Thank you for working towards TSW . I lost my health, family, peace due to TSW. Life is a struggle and am just going one day at a time now
@@CreativeRays You will make it through hang in there, it feels like forever when you’re in it but it will not last forever

I developed Autoimmune utricaria during TSW
Most important question is that Is this permanent? Is TSW a lifelong problem?
no, of course not. TSW is the cure for steroid addiction
Can ivermectin,helps with TSW?

steroids can be hidden in things; perhaps you've unknowingly used it in the past?
How do you manage your flare ups? In case of my daughter, oils, moisturizers don't work.
Stop the bs

I'm 15 days into TSW. Just ordered a red light. How often and how did you use it? Was it helpful? I'm also in Canada (BC).
