Wow! I've been looking for this recipe for a while. My husband just got his first smoker. He's been doing picnics, steaks, etc. After this I'm running out to get some Turkey legs! 😂🏃🏾♀️🔥🔥🔥💗
I’m going to try this recipe for the 4th of July this weekend. It looks perfect. I’ve never smoked anything and I’m also doing about 15 legs so wish me luck lol. I will report how it comes out!
Make sure to keep temp around 275° to 300°, too low and they will come out rubbery. Beginners mistake with smoking , not all meat is low and slow. I learned the hard way 😁
Hey bro, I got some turkey legs on the smoker now. I didn't use the curring salt, I wanted straight up smoked legs. I enjoyed your cook. Cooking with E and V will be back shortly with new amazing vids. Great job my brother we should do a calab.
@@TaylorsFSCooking man I just circled back and watched this again because I've been thinking of trying a copy-cat "Turkey Leg Hut" inspired cook where it IS supposed to fall off the bone. It looks like it's just a matter of leaving them in the foil longer, but it's good to know how to produce both. Good stuff!
I knew better than to watch this Taylor's video, This man makes me so hungry every time I watch him cook.LOL, I need to go now and get myself some turkey legs.
I love these and have smoked them in the past. What about those tendons though? They kind of turn me off when I chew on them. I wonder if pressure cooking first would soften them up and help the meat fall off.
Every time I go to Dollywood, I make it a point to get one of these! I’ll take yours over anything I’ve got there anyway! Perfect color and looked amazing!! Great video! 💯👍🏻🔥🔥
Taylor awesome video. I am trying this for Thanksgiving. I got turkey legs and they are huge. What about cooking safety when they are brining. Can I leave them in the brine for 24 hours without them spoiling? Thanks!
For brining any salt will do i use kosher most times, with a little curing salt for color. As far as rub just use your favorite ad long as it's low sodium. They will be plenty salty from the brine
Thank you my brotha... I’m gonna also try the brown sugar and butter to baste before I put em in the foil ... I’m also tampering with a jerk and Hennessy glaze turkey leg
Looks awesome! Thanks for the video and work you put in here! I can't wait to try these!

@@g.choppa4448 learned that the hard way over the last year. You have to pay attention to the temperature more than anything.

What type of smoker did you use? What type of wood did you use? Did you use chunks or chips? Do you cook them to temp or by time 🤷🏾♂️

Yaaasssss. Now I want me a turkey leg. Great video bro. 💕

Taylor awesome video. I am trying this for Thanksgiving. I got turkey legs and they are huge. What about cooking safety when they are brining. Can I leave them in the brine for 24 hours without them spoiling? Thanks!
Absolutely as long as they are cold
Great video man!

Ooowwweeee........this looks so GOOD!!🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 I gotta try this!!!!
Tfs..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Please do, thanks for watching
Good job, looks good..
Great video. What brand of vertical smoker are you using?
Masterbuilt sportsman elite
At what temp do you think they're at when you pull them off the grill to wrap them in foil?? They look great!!
About an hr and a half or so. It's really about the color though
@@TaylorsFSCooking trying it tonight ~~ thanks!
I am gonna try that too sir. Thank you ❤️😊❤️
If you can’t find pink curing can you use the Himalayan salt
It's not the same so if you can't find the curing salt just omit all together
Great work. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate that
I'm about to use this recipe! Thanks
Hope you enjoy
😆🤣 that bite expression is priceless 😆 ummm good bro
🤣🤣🤣
Not sure if I missed it but what flavor wood chips did you use in the smoker?
I personally allow like mesquite, but pecan, apple, or cherry will do great
OMG!! We are gonna try so many of your dishes on our channel ‼️
Ok cool appreciate that
I sometimes have a problem with smoking my chicken at 275 it makes the skin rubbery. Do you keep the temp at 275 the entire 3 hours ?
275 the whole time, wrapping them in the foil helps with that.
Ima give it a shot
Hope you enjoy them

Can u use the oven and get the same results if you don't have a smoker ?
Unfortunately not the same flavor.
Yum yum 😋! Thanks !
Looks and sounds delicious
Thank you
Hi, Taylor, what kind of wood are you using to smoke your turkey legs?
Hickory
Were the legs at room temp when you first added the brine?
No
Nice original idea! Now we don't have to wait til the state fair (which is canceled anyway). Thanks!
Right, thanks for watching.
How long do recommend smoking them to have them falling off the bone?
It really depends, once wrapped id say a coupke of hours depending on your grill temp
How long do you recommend for fall off the bone results? And is the process different?
Really just about an additional hour or so will get you there.
Yea..I tried today and it didn't turn out good. 😔😔. I think my temp was too high. It was a lil under of 300 for 4 hours. They were hard and dry.
@@murmur2410 yea that temp was a bit high, sorry they didn't turned out for you.
BEST TURKEY LEG VIDEO ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much 🙂
I will try this tomorrow.
Let me know how they turn out
I see that Juice! Drip baby

I know I know taste like ham,no need to bye a ham for the holidays ❤😅!!!
thx homie for the tips
Glad to help man
Brandon I love turkey can I cooked them in the oven and get close to the same results. I don't have a smoker.😊
Yes and no lol, flavor will still be great, but you won't have the smoke flavor unfortunately.
What's the name of that BBQ rub?
Did u rinse them off after the brine and then season them
Yes but not soak, just rinse
Dang, now I'm hungry! Gotta get me some.
Brother that looks amazing! That color.... Mm..mmm.mmmmm.
Thank you, I appreciate that
Thank you
This is the one right here. ❤

I used your recipe and man the turkey legs were delicious. I had some family over and they loved the flavor. Thanks for posting this!
Awesome, glad the turned out good for you.
That's what I wanted to hear right there
Going to try what wood you use I'm gonna try apple
That particular time was Hickory, but apple would be great
In your turkey leg recipe , I thought I seen you say a cup of salt , what type of salt, table or Sea salt .
It doesn't matter regular salt is just fine
What type chips for smoking . I got some catfish smoking as I type.
Where did you get smoker from please?
I actually got it at Sam's club years ago. I don't think they make this model anymore.
